Below is a screenshot of the biography one of my characters, viewed on my Samsung S4. As you can see some characters are showing up as little boxes. Normally these would be unicode characters but this isn't the case on my outdated phone.
I think this is just my phone's fault but I think other "old" phones do this too. The question is, how many people use old phones to view RpR? Do people mostly use laptops and computers?
(I want to know because my entire profile is in frikken unicode. I don't want people coming to my profile and leaving seeing shapes. Heck, how many people did that already?)
((Edit: This is what it looks like on my equally old laptop. Maybe it's just phones?))

I don't consider my phone that old, but... yeah, every phone I've ever had, including this one, shows boxes in place of those fancy characters. If any show them correctly, I imagine it's just, like, top of the line models, maybe.
And tons of members access RPR through their phones. I think most do both, but a lot of people access through phones only. A mobile app is one of the most requested things Kim gets (but it's much easier for her to keep a mobile-friendly site than to build and maintain mobile apps with all the numerous extra variations, especially when it's... just to access the website).
But if you just want regular letters like in the second image, that's easy enough to do so everyone can see it, using BBCode (or, if you're an Epic member, you can use CSS). The thing to know first is if that's a regular widget title, or if that's text in the main body of the widget. If it's the title, you'll have to mimic its styling to recreate it in the body (again, if you're Epic, you can just edit how the titles themselves all appear).

any phone within the past 3 or 4 years should view it correctly, but they may have to use chrome for it. I have an S8 and had no problem with the letters. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It appears it's not just old phones unfortunately.
My phone is an LG Stylo 3 Plus which was released in mid-late 2017 (only about 2 - 2 1/2 years old) and I can't see the characters either, they're just boxes.

I just don't have a Galaxy or iPhone. I have a Moto.
I use a new, but very, very cheap phone. I don't even know what kind it is. But it's an Android. I use chrome. And I seem to be able to see the letters.
I mostly acces rpr on my iPhone 5s and when I scroll through your profile, there is an empty box sometimes where there is supposed to be a letter. I assume that it’s not meant to do so but I do think in this case, it’s my not very dated phone
Also, as a sidenote, I would like to add that I scrolled through one of your characters profiles (to see if the same thing with the boxes were visible) and I am in complete adoration of the layout! *-*
