Pretty self-explanatory; but state the last emotion or mental state you've written or roleplayed.

Get specific, but provide minimal context so you leave everyone wondering what the heck you've been writing.

Instead of saying nervous, say:

"Nervous about telling his friend the terrible truth."

I've most recently written a character mentally preparing to stab a cannibal in the hand.

Technically, it wasn't the angry panic toward a shirt, but rather someone else reminding themself that, for all their "rules" and "social norms," humans really are strange creatures of wild, incongruous variance, and that this is okay because it just is.
