I'm really unsure about posting this for a lot of reasons, but I'm going to anyway...

So my dad died yesterday. (Please, don't load this thread or my inbox with condolences or anything.) My family has always had money problems though, and it's been awhile since either of my parents could work. Now, my mom is scrounging to gather up the funds for my dad's cremation and whatever else needs to be wrapped up. (There won't really be much of an actual funeral per dad's request, but there's still things to take care of.)

If you have some money you'd like to throw in, my mom set up a fundraiser (link removed, I can provide it at request). I'll only have this link up for awhile, and I ask that you not use my name, both for personal security/privacy.

I feel it's important to be clear about the situation. I have trouble getting along with my family, and my dad was actually a pretty significant part of that. I don't consider them to be abusive or anything, but I have mostly avoided communication with them for awhile now. That said, I don't want them to suffer, and I do want all of this to be taken care of sooner rather than later.

If you don't have money to spare, or even just don't feel comfortable giving any for any reason, that is 100% okay. If you do, I appreciate it.

I might throw some money their way once 25th rolls around, when I get my paycheck, if the link is still available by then.
