... I have definitely done some calculations for this and my arithmetic was wrong... I definitely had 16 for the backwards shift. ;;; I don't thiiiiink it would have mattered anyway, though.

Yeah, but I'm wondering if we need to use multiple ciphers for it.

Multiple ciphers might be a thing, but I'm just going to operate on the assumption that it's not, for now - that's a lot of added complexity in an already-complex problem!

Might have to be careful not to over complicate things.

Yeah... we might need some different ideas. I can't really figure anything out from the clues that we have here and from the bottles.

So we are overthinking it, is what I'm hearing!

I went back and got a recap of all the stuff we've found. Codes and hints. Just to get back to the basics.

And the letters on the portal in the video, also! Which are the alphabet, with "TVOG" pointed out.

Okay. Okay! So. Assemblage of Facts and Known Quantities™.

A) Clue 1: "Look where I point". We are fairly certain this refers to the pointers on the portals. A message in a bottle stated: "The pointers in both the comics and the video must be utilized for Puzzle 2". Those letters are (comic) BHAR, and (video) TVOG.

b) Clue 2: "Shifted the number of displaced letters". Messages in bottles state "Move your chosen letters to the start" and "You can shift in directions other than forward..." Probably related to some sort of keyword cipher or shift/caesar/ROT# cipher, or both.

C) Clue 3: "A phrase where we enter". This probably(??) refers to the garbled text above one of the doorways in the video. We're... unsure of some of the lettering, because it's a little fuzzy. My guess is 'kzxo iep tkfieo vda bdhh', and other guesses are floating around (and if those of you who have them can send them to me so I can stick that all here, that'd be great!). PROBABLY this is what we're deciphering, anyways.

!! So it's the bhartvog part that's shifted! So... Unshift that, and then...

I tried running it through a bunch of shifts and using that as they keyword for the garbled phrase

But.... I may have done it wrong... wait... yes... because i did 16...

Maybe the shifts are related to the positioning in 'labyrinth', after all.

Same. The key may still be garbage--I do expect the phrase to be useful though
