She is a princess and multiple Kings and others wish to marry her so their heir can fulfill the prophecy. The answer is obviously about her but it's still too vague without the other clues.

Just found a short story called "The Question of Price" about a young princess named Pavetta. And dozens of suitors are contending for her hand. (It's from the Witcher series so it seems pretty promising)

Some of the main contending characters from this story are:
Urcheon of Erlenwald (Duny)
Crach an Craite
Prince Windhalm of Attre, accompanied by Rainfarn, a knight
Tinglant, Fodcat and Wieldhill (sons of Lord Strept)

Aaah good point. It could be about Pavetta. She's Ciri's mother.

I thought King Midas, (No idea why!) so I put in his daughter, Marigold and Zoe. no luck!

I think the answer is likely 100 (or one hundred or something similar)

With the recent clue I think it doesn't relate to Ciri or Pavetta but this quest with a character vowed to slay 100 Knights

I actually followed your link and read through the quest details!

You fight the person a total of three times, and in the third time, he brings in two hired thugs resulting in your fighting against three total people. :'D I tried that as a numerical answer when 100 didn't cut it.
