Subject 00013 (played by Oaky)

Today, 00013 was gonna have some fun.

A lot of fun, in fact.

He walked the streets. Special telepathic technology helped keep his description discreet.

Whoops! Did a mini gun just assemble itself in his hands? Oh my goodness!

And there goes the normal person look! He's wearing armor now.

The whirring sound of the barrels rotating, bullets being launched from the shells, and people screaming was a beautiful thing to behold.

It wasn't long before police showed up. Always ones to ruin fun.

The first few squad cars exploded. The next set of police were smarter than that. Choppers.

The minigun disappeared and was replaced with a rocket launcher.

This was subsequently used to take down the choppers.

00013 was at this point laughing like a maniac. He didn't know why he chose this particular city, but something about New York, NY attracted him to blow it up. (Had to, for the sake of tradition. Seriously, everyone else attacks New York. New York is apocalypse central.)

What to destroy next, he wondered? Perhaps he'd attack that giant building. What did they call it, Empire State?

Yeah.
Jamie Hudson (played by Bertie-McBert)

Jamie just happened to be in New York City with his roommate, Henry, who was visiting his girlfriend and her parents over the Memorial Day weekend. Jamie came along for the ride, as Henry would more than definitely get lost going to NYC alone. Though the young paramedic stayed with Sophie's parents in their apartment in Brooklyn, he often stayed out late to avoid them. He didn't particularly care for her or her family, only coming along because Henry asked.

In order to avoid the Dreaded Ones, Jamie spent his nights in Manhattan, checking out the club scene and nightlife. He always thought NYC would be mystical and fantastic. The photos he'd seen made it seem like the City of Enchantment, where anything in the world was possible. He soon learned, after a night on the town, that it was no better than Chicago (in his opinion) and the mysteiousness didn't even compare to his home of New Orleans.

Quite simply, he was bored.

As the first threads of sunlight shone above the skyscrapers, Jamie sighed heavily. It must've been around seven in the morning for the sun to be that high, he guessed (he really had no idea, he lost his watch on the subway. It didn't matter, it was cheap). Now, on the bright morning's queue, commuters and workers from all walks of life emerged. By tunnel, by bridge, by sidewalk, a whole army of working class New Yorkers poured in to the massive office buildings, no doubt going to another boring day of robotic work.

In the distance, though, through his exhaustion-clouded mind, he saw the orange light of fire. At first, he assumed it was just a homeless guy burning trash, but no. The sound of gunshots accompanied the sight and suddenly, his EMT training kicked in and he rushed towards the scene to look for any injured. He found one, a man with a bit of schrapnel in his leg. Jamie aided to him as best he could with no tools or supplies, until an ambulence was on the scene.

That was when he caught sight of the cause of this mess.

Amid screams and panic, he was calm. Holding a gun and shooting like it wasn't anything at all. He shot a police car, causing an explosion. A woman was killed, having been standing too close to what she thought was safety.

Jamie became angry.

He followed this thing, keeping a distance. He was enraged, but he was not stupid. Lie low, track it. Kill it. It wasn't human. It just changed guns by morphing. He seethed, hiding in a small alleyway between two buildings. Waiting for it to move. A part of him, waiting for the thrill of when he was finally spotted.

Hahaha!
Burn.

The rocket launcher quickly dissipated. The man seemed bored. His armor didn't disappear- Not yet.

The hulking mass of armor and muscle scanned its surroundings. The sight of so much gore, shrapnel, and overall destruction was satisfying.

More authorities arrived. SWAT, perhaps military. This is when the real fun would begin.

00013 turned around and ran, ducking into a nearby alleyway.
Jamie Hudson (played by Bertie-McBert)

He happened across Jamie in that alley. The man, who's hands were already covered in the blood of those he tried to save, looked almost wildly savage with his eyes wide, lips pulled back in a sneer. Still, he did not speak. He made no noise, make no movements. He wasn't going to give up his cover. The thing hadn't noticed him.

Yet.
