This Looking For RP topic is marked as closed, meaning it is no longer seeking new players.

After a long hiatus, a very long one, I'm back again to seek out two partners with an updated request thread as the last one may have been too long or something. Pleased to meet you, I'm Emvorele. If at any time you see something interesting send me a message.

Just some quick rules first.

▪Please no controlling my characters. That means the on the fly nameless characters.

▪I'm not looking to penalize anyone for grammar I can understand the occasional few mistakes I'm guilty of them as well. If the whole post is error filled it'll be hard to understand.

▪This just isn't my roleplay it is yours too let's write it by both of our efforts. We're a team. I want to be able to know and trust you'll lead the story like me with your own ideas and we both are on the same page as wanting to enjoy ourselves in some storytelling. In order for it to work we both have to be willing to put it together and even if it doesn't we tried that counts for something.

▪At the very least I am looking for four paragraphs that would be enough to get some dialogue, character development/interaction, and moving the story forward. So yes, four paragraphs will be solid nothing below that please. If you want to do more I'm fine with that. I'm not in favor of one liners I need more.

▪I'm a couple posts a week writer, there might be instances when I can only manage one post a week. Please be patient. I won't ask you to rush to post and I ask you do the same for me.

▪I write in third person only. Tenses don't really matter to me so don't sweat it if you switch I have been known to do it too.

▪Communicate with me. If something isn't working just tell me.

Plots
Against The Ways Of Old.
Centuries ago many races, dragons, humans, elves, fairies, dwarves, lived together in a paradise of a pure land untainted and surrounded by other lands that were for the most part uninhabited. They weren't entirely harmonious but they were not at each other's throats either, they found a way to work together at least for the most part. Under the rulership of the dragons, considered guardians sent by the gods, they kept order in paradise.

As time went on some of the other races had begun to feel a sort of animosity toward the dragons. They felt that no such deity bestowed the power to them that they were merely taking advantage to rule as supreme. Fed up with the rule of dragons those races joined one another to destroy them and claim paradise for themselves. What ended up as a secret takeover turned into an all out war as the ones that wanted the dragons gone turned on each other and what suffered the most was paradise. Angry at the insolence, the dragons expelled all other races from paradise to the outer lands but the war was far from over. With many races choosing their own territories they gathered their forces to continue the battle.

Although the war has long been over, in the now present day, the unease of shaky at best alliances are easy to fracture at any moment though the largest human kingdom and the kingdom of the dragons-in what was formerly paradise-have improved relations among one another. Humans have wanted peace with the dragons and as to offer a new passage into the future together a proposal of marriage would unite both races. The eldest heirs of both kingdoms, against their will, are arranged to be married without knowing anything about one another let alone trust but as humans and dragons seem to come together others are lining up to tear them down and a repeat of history is likely on the horizon.

All Roads Lead Me Back To You.
Even at the break of dawn, she can hear the heavy gunfire and the smell blood and death filling the air of the woodlands not far from her home. Gradually, the fighting had grown worse in the previous weeks. The city state of Anfalen had declared its independence from rule of the empire. The Tlannatard Empire had not taken the impulsive decision lightly and thus would reclaim Anfalen forcefully. In between such struggles were those innocent, small towns and villages unlucky to have bordered both Anfalen and the empire, her hometown of Merethyl being one. It won't be long before Merethyl is caught up in the crossfire. Already townsfolk have abandoned the town aboard the train but she cannot leave. Everything she has, everything she is, is etched in the foundation of the land her family helped carved generations ago so she stays and hears the cries of those lost to the war.

The battle shifts. The woodlands are encroached by soldiers of the empire and Anfalen. Separated from his unit, a young Anfalen soldier realizes if they lose the empire will make an example of them to show their enemies their power. Everything the city state had accomplished and fought for would be for nothing. A grievous leg injury makes it difficult for him to move throughout the maze of a forest. Hearing gunfire all around him and footsteps he prepares for death only it does not come. Instead, the person to discover him is the Merethyl woman. Easily recognizing his uniform rather than walk away, she helps him. They stumble back to town where the battle has shifted. The empire forces mow down anyone in the path whether innocent or not. The pair sneak on the departing train alongside others. As it was Anfalen was on the losing end of the war. Forced to abandon her home, the woman tends to the soldier's wound but even on the train they are not out of danger yet. The empire forces catch up and take possession of the train capturing and killing anyone. Knowing the woman could become a casualty the soldier tells her to leave the first chance she gets that if she doesn't she will die. As she contemplates doing so she cannot bring herself to leave him behind. The empire forces execute many.

The soldier and the woman are left alone but they are taken hostage their destination, the empire, where they will likely meet a horrible end. Joining forces, the unlikely comrades manage another escape and disappear into the wilderness together uncertain of what obstacles are in store for them while the continent descends into chaos brought on by the power hungry empire.

How They Feared Us. TAKEN
Even the Sérstakt did not realize how special they were or important, that what they could do was far greater than any of them could ever imagine. For the most part, they were individuals, human by all purposes of appearance, born into captivity by the government following through on a secret project. Human, yes, however much more than that. The Sérstakt had abilities that made them extraordinary as well as different. It wasn't until some grew tired of their confines that lead to an escape into the real world where they were no longer the government's secret. Soon a fierce battle raged between the two with the Sérstakt only wanting one thing to be acknowledged.

At the cost of doing harm to the general public, the government backed down from the Sérstakt, in fact, they granted them their freedom and even tried to quell public outrage to say the Sérstakt were not dangerous. The only problem was they had shown what they can do and fear was already set in the minds of the people. An agreement was reached. The Sérstakt could live their lives as they saw fit as long as it was away from the population and in their own government watched space far away in the mountains. The Sérstakt agreed. Provided a settlement, they began to carve a new beginning out for themselves happy to have one another and happy to be free but with their abilities new unknown occurrences frequently happened. Animals of the mountains, attracted by the resonance the Sérstakt emitted, turned into ferocious beasts attracted to the energy. This became somewhat of a problem and so the population kept hidden away in their settlement especially at night. Another problem rising, who would lead them. Up until now they lead one another but with too many strong-willed personalities just to find one or even several individuals was a chore. Life was difficult for them however they managed to endure somehow.

At long last a day came when they settled on who would lead them, a victory for them but at a great cost. As they celebrated among one another, the government planes soared the skies overhead dropping bombs. There had never been any peace treaty. The government herded the Sérstakt like cattle to an appointed area where after a swift conclusion they would execute them. With that fall of the devastating bombs, death is left to the settlement. Many perish while few manage to escape but the bombs continue falling and the home that the Sérstakt built ceased to exist. From the ruins of what once existed, the few fortunate to have survived contend with an horde of beasts hungrily yearning for their power while making their way down the mountain and the government, investigating the ruins, spins a tale to the public that the Sérstakt in trying to attack were quickly dealt with. Once the survivors reach the world they were robbed of knowing, they realize they never stood a chance, being who and what they are would always paint them as outsiders.

Fueled by anger and haunted by sadness, together they make plans to take back what was stolen from them. Their loyalty lies within each other and that same loyalty will lead them on a path of retribution against the ones responsible.

Love Gained Love Lost.
He never wanted to have any part of his father's business if it could even be called that. It was an organization built on power and those in it were feared. None more than his father at the helm of the Empire created through murder, manipulation, and money.

He was ashamed of having the same last name as a man that received due respect every time he gave an order but at the same time the young man found on some level of envy toward his father for having the guts to take what he wanted still, even at the grooming from his father to take over the business one day he wanted no part of it.

Feeling pressure from all sides, the darkness in his life is lifted when he meets her. She's outgoing, free spirited and together without knowing anything about one another they begin a sort of friendship that turns into a dependence on one another from life in general. They are content with the companionship. What the guy doesn't know is that she is the daughter of his father's rival and while he is trying to run from his inheritance she embraces the lifestyle her father has provided for her with the chance to one day follow in his footsteps if need be. The two of them have no idea about the world outside of their adoration.

With their relationship growing stronger the personal war between their fathers strikes an all time high threatening to spill over into the lives of everyone including the pair.

A Home Of Their Own.
In what was once a metropolis of a city now lie ruins. It is here where they met, Guy and Girl both probably born among said ruins though it is unclear. The most pressing matter in this day and age is survival leaving everything that happened before meeting one another mattering very little only that they are surviving together and somewhere along the lines the hope they shared for something better turned into love between them. They are scavengers. They search the ruins for food anything really that they can use. Sometimes they are successful sometimes they are not. The metropolis of a city is too large to search so there are ramparts they have not gone to mainly because with the disaster beasts of an otherworldly kind that have stalked the night turned to daylight to to feed on the few stragglers in the huge city. Guy and Girl have been lucky to encounter very few and lived to tell the tale. They leave the night to rest in a little shelter they call home and are cautious in the day where to travel but they know they have to do something soon. Food is becoming scarce.

They have to widen their search, they must explore the city. One day in doing so they find a food supply however in doing so they also discover a den of the foul abominations lurking in the lower workings of the city that will eventually overrun the ruins. The two must leave otherwise they will become victims of the beasts. Taking with them what they can they decide to make the perilous journey to leave the only home they've ever known, the city, to try to find somewhere else safe but along the way in the snow covered world they will discover that there's more to the event than meets the eye and the world might not be as far gone as assumed.

The world does not belong to just humans but otherworldly creatures as well with all races and spiritual or not beings coexisting together.

Once following in the footsteps of her decorated detective father, a young woman watches it all crash down around her when a incident takes the life of her partner and nearly her own. Some say she just wasn't ready for the field others think she can never amount to half of what her father was, part of her agrees. Tempted to leave behind her declining career she decides against it accepting an offer of basement duty while recovering from her injury. Basement duty is the bottom of the barrel, cases that are passed about or never go solved that need to be filed properly. Feeling overwhelmed, the woman settles in her new position only she's not alone. A friend of her father's on the force comes to her with news: she will have help.

She'll be partnered with someone. A sort of rookie with no police experience because the partner is not a cop rather a 'reformed' vampire criminal. The son of a vampire politician with heavy ties to the department, strings were pulled to get the ex-criminal some kind of service to the community which ended up being basement duty too.

The cop will have to watch him to make sure he's abiding by the rules of his release. Not an ideal situation at all especially when her new partner insists on solving basement duty cases.
