Kuro rolled her eyes. "Whatever, you're just jealous."

Beast raised an eyebrow. "Jealous of?"

"That I can get a girl faster than you. And, yes, I have dated girls before." She grinned.

Beast raised his hands as if saying "I surrender". "Hey. If you like dating little kids, who am I to judge? Nothings wrong with being a pedophile." Beast grinned back.

Kuro glared at him. "You love being a smartass, don't you?"

Beast smiled. "You don't like losing, huh?"

"Who does like losing is the question?"

Beast shrugged. He wondered what to do now. "So I'm assuming you know who or what that kid is?"

Kuro shook her head. "I don't know her at all, all I know is she doesn't speak English."

Beast gave her a "What's wrong with you look" before saying, "So you found it a good idea to hold a child close to you who you don't know, or have knowledge of their capabilities who has somehow managed to survive in the woods all by herself? Yeah....that sounds safe."

Kuro glared at Beast. "She is a little girl and I can protect myself just fine."

Beast glared back, but with a smile, "As far as you know."

Karissa looked between the two of them as they had their conversation, only catching a few words. She stuck her finger out at beast and repeted the word that she heard the most and stuck in her mind. "Kid."
