"South. Suta is waiting on the south end of the town." She walked straight.
Beast headed left with Kuro. Beast whistled to past the time while walking with his hands in his pockets.
"So, why are you going into the woods?"
"I could ask the same thing."
Kuro gave a "Are you serious" look. "I think you can tell why with just happened."
Beast looked up, "So I'm supposed to know why your going into the woods because a guy held a knife to your neck?"
Kuro rolled her eyes. "He is my master, I ran away form him and now I have to keep running until I turn eighteen."
Beast continued looking up, "Why eighteen?"
"Because then I will be a legal adult, and he can't force me to live with him."
"Oh, so he's your guardian?"
Kuro nodded. "Yes, and that according to DNA, he is my dad."
Beast clamped his hand over his face while laughing. "OK." They reached the edge of town.
Kuro rolled her eyes. "Like I could control that."
Beast looked forward. "Never said ya could."
"Then why did you laugh?"
"Why do you want to know?"
"You laughed right after I said that he was my father, I want to know why that was so funny to you."
"It's nothing." Beast looked around while his laugh wore off, "So who're you waiting for?"
"I'm not waiting on anyone. Like I said, I'm on the run."
"Alright. Then where would you like to go?"
