This Looking For RP topic is marked as closed, meaning it is no longer seeking new players.
It's me again and I'm back with some new RP plots that I'd like to share with you! All of these will take place in a custom world that's detailed down below. The plots will be listed within the collapse tab below. All of these RPs will be group RPs, I'm looking for around 3-6 people to join me.
Since this RP is set in a custom world, here is some information for you to read through when developing a character for the world. If you have any questions or comments or anything, please let me know. The world's technology is the equivalent of the United States between the late 1920s and early 1940s.
Plot Ideas
The Shaula Rebellion
For the past ten years, Antares has been locked in turmoil, locked in a bloody fight with the fledgling rebel state of Shaula. Dissatisfied with the oppressive nature of the Antares government, Captain Morrison decided to take action. Though President Thorne wasn't the most competent president in the history of the nation, there were plenty of people loyal to him, especially in the eastern areas of the country, so straight up murdering him wasn't an option for Henry, in response to this, he had done the only thing a sane rhinoceros would do. He had sparked a rebellion, starting in Hankala and Tardide, two cities arguably the most affected by the weak economy brought up by President Sebastian. Over the course of the next decade, the rebel state would absorb more and more cities, with their biggest catch being Chester, quite possibly the most important farming community that Antares had. The victory that led to the capture of Chester was enough to give Shaula legitimacy in their claim to independence, but the Antares government wasn't going to just let them take such an important city and now that Captain Morrison was planning to take Lerwick, a major port town in Antares, the government was getting serious. They had entrusted Captain Graham with overseeing the fight against Shaula, even promoting him to the highest rank within the Antares military, and though Calvin was not eager to eventually face his greatest pupil in battle, he had a duty to do...
The plotline splits into two possible outcomes here...
Now, with either plot, this will largely consist of frequent combat scenes, heavy violence (keep the gore to a minimum), plenty of tense moments. We can play either plot or we could do both in separate RPs. If it wasn't obvious, the plot is following the events of the Shaula Rebellion. Just let me know which you'd be most interested in.

Independence!
Though Captain Graham had many more years of experience, it just wasn't enough to defeat Shaula. The rebel army was getting more and more support. Foreign nations had even sent their support; Arcturus, Orionis, and Rigel aided the fledgling rebel state and unfortunately, it proved to be overwhelming for the shrinking Antares army. The battle for Lerwick had been a success for Shaula and with it, they added Moonbreak and Greenflower. Following this battle, Shaula had finally declared independence and had become the seventh nation of Tucana, but for how long? Will this once rebellious state thrive into the future or will it be reabsorbed into Antares in the future?
With this side of the plotline, Shaula will end up winning the war and will become an independent state. This RP will play out on the Shaula side of things for the most part, following along with their goals of separating from the parent state. Following the war, they'll soon turn their attention to helping out the Outlying Islands and will deal with the difficulties of leading a newly formed country.

The Reunification of Antares
Though the Rebels of Shaula fought well, they were just outmatched by the experience that Captain Graham. The army of Antares managed to push Shaula back and prevented Lerwick from falling into their hands, and now, he's just working on dissolving the rebellion itself. Piece by piece, Captain Graham managed to tear apart what Captain Morrison had put together. Less than a year into the counterattack from Antares, they had managed to push them back to Hankala and Tardide, all where it initially started. Captain Morrison, his subordinates, and severals other were scheduled to be put on trial soon, with their fates to be decided by President Thorne. Calvin may have been successful in quelling the rebellion, but for how long? Captain Morrison's seeds of dissension had already been planted and they've since taken root, and like any weed, they're hard to kill. Will Shaula rise again in the future or has Captain Graham once again proven his mettle on the battlefield?
Unlike the other, this side of the plot will explore the Antares side of the story, specifically in a version in which they were successful in pushing Shaula back. This will follow Captain Graham and his army's battle against Shaula. Following their victory, they'll continue stomping out the flames of rebellion, arresting and imprisoning those who are still rallying behind Captain Morrison, and of course, they'll be preparing to determine the fates of the rebel leaders.

The Lost City of Tucana
The city of Veritas has long been one of the world's greatest mysteries; a paradise completely abandoned in less than a month. Stories of the city had been passed around Tucana from family to family, with each of them wondering what kind of place it was like. Many agree that this city was perfect; people lived together in peace and harmony, violence was unheard of deep underneath the surface of Arcturus, yet... it had been abandoned. Every man, woman, and child had suddenly left the city for unknown reasons. Some claim they had used up the resources that Veritas offered or that they had been chased out by the Enac, but no one knows for sure. For centuries, people have been searching for a way to unlock the seal that hid the ancient city, but no one has been successful until recently. During the travels of Nicholas and his fairy companions, they had managed to collect three of the five keys needed to unlock the seal, but unfortunately, they've been unsuccessful in finding the last two. They're unsure of what this ancient race of Cygni is nor are they sure which Labyrinth of Tucana the last clue was pointing towards and they've run out of options. No longer sure where to go at this point, they begin to look for help. They took refuge in Cromer, the central city in the Starfall Desert and had set up some fliers looking for people willing to join them in the hunt for the final two keys. What will happen if the group is successful in discovering this lost wonder of Tucana?
I know it took a little while to get this plot out, but here it is. Essentially what we'll be doing is exploring Tucana in search of the final two keys that would open up Veritas. Nicholas, Tabitha, and Marisa had already found the first three, they just need help in the finding the final two. This RP will contain more adventurous scenes, plenty of time in the RP will be devoted to them exploring the area, so I wouldn't really prepare for too many lengthy combat scenes, though that's not to say they won't happen. I'm looking for 3-5 people to join in the biggest RP I've done yet.

The Crystal Labyrinth
The Crystal Labyrinth is one of Andromeda's most culturally significant places, this massive Labyrinth stretches all the way from the northwestern shores of Cepheis to all the way to Canis Majoris' eastern peninsula. The structure hides numerous ancient artifacts, valuable crystals, and possibly more. Unfortunately, nobody has gotten too far into the Labyrinth, the many twists and turns and the threats from the dangerous predators that hide within the tunnels of the Labyrinth have turned many would be treasure hunters and historians away, until today that is. The Cepheis Exploration, Reconnaissance, and Recovery Association (CERRA) have developed plans to explore every inch of the tunnels, hoping to figure out what the original inhabitants of Andromeda had left behind. Though the six members of the guild have plenty of experience under their belts, it doesn't seem like it'll be enough, so before they make their trek towards the entrance just north of Siriande. The guild founder had even left several flyers around Kasa in hopes of attracting some potential adventurers.
Alright, ignoring the messy and jumbled plot... it'll involve our group embarking on an adventure through the Crystal Labyrinth. The RP is likely to consist of mostly light hearted themes that focus on our group exploring the tunnels, though that's not to say that there won't be any drama. Wild creatures, such as the Enac lurk within the tunnels giving our group plenty of chances for combat and dramatic moments. I'm hoping the RP will be long-term, since I'd like to explore as much as possible.

Hello, we are the Cepheis Exploration, Reconnaissance, and Recovery Association, otherwise known as CERRA. We're a small exploratory guild located in Kasa in northeast Cepheis. We're planning for the biggest expedition through the famed Crystal Labyrinth near Siriande to discover what no one has been able to so far, we're looking for several people to join us on our mission; race, sex, age, origin, whatever I've missed... none of that matters, the only thing you're needing is a brave heart and the willingness to join us in a potentially dangerous mission. You'll be entitled to your fair share of whatever profit we make off anything we find in the Labyrinth. If you're interested, stop by the brown cabin next to the Primrose Inn, it's near the western exit of town.
Huge reward available to those willing to help. This offer won't last, meet with us before this Friday and be prepared for a long mission.

The Rise of Danas
The Elemental Guardians are often renowned as being the protectors of Majoria, they defend the world from things that would threaten to wipe out life on the world. Though the Guardians are widely worshiped and are considered to be good in nature, this would not be the case with all sixteen. There was one Guardian that had sparked controversy among many of the people that called Majoria home; Danas, the Lord of the Dead. Each Guardian has a magical element related to them, and Danas' magic was capable of turning the dead into soulless puppets, though unlike the Majorians, his soulless puppets would last for much longer, in fact, they would continuing walking until they had been killed once again. Nearly 10,000 years ago, before the rise of many of the nations that now call Majoria home, he had attempted to subjugate the world, believing it was his birthright as one of the Elemental Guardians. At first, his fifteen siblings just brushed it aside, thinking it was some stupid joke, but he was serious in his desire. Starting with what would eventually become Antares, he would embark on a quest to rule Majoria. Thousands of people died in his conquest, and those killed would eventually become his puppets. Unfortunately for him, his siblings would step in before he could get too far. By the time they would interrupt his plans, nearly all of Tucana was under his control. The battle between Danas and his siblings ranged on for nearly a full year and it's believed that this battle is what gave rise to the mountain ranges that form the present day borders between the nations of Tucana. Following the conclusion of the battle, Danas had been imprisoned in a cell deep below the Ironbind Mountains that form the borders of Antares, Rigel, Orionis, and Arcturus and had been put into a dormant state. Five keys had been created and scattered about Majoria, hoping that he would not be able to rise once again.
The state Danas was in left his element of magic severely weakened, meaning the one powerful death magic had become considerably weaker, though it remained the subject of controversy. Over the many long years that Danas had been imprisoned, a cult by the name of the Children of Danas had formed, hoping to restore the full power of his magic, though they weren't aware of how to do this until the first leader of the cult, Richarde Colby, had discovered one of the keys during his exploration of what would eventually become Leporis. Centuries would go by and the group would collect the other four keys and recently, unknown to the other Guardians, they had found the resting place of Danas. Not knowing the full consequences of what would happen, they had unlocked the cell that had held the Lord of the Dead, however he was still in a dormant state, but with his prison now unlocked, he would be free to do as he pleased. It's up to the nations of the world to either rise up against this dangerous being or accept their fate and become faithful servants of Danas.
With this plot, this involves our characters getting the attention of the other Elemental Guardians. Thanks to their many temples and shrines around the world, this isn't difficult, however time is crucial at this point. If Danas rises once again, Majoria could become a very different place, though what could possibly stop a delusional cult and an angry Guardian? The ironic death of Danas will mean his element of magic will cease to exist, how many people will really be willing to give up such a controversial, but useful form of magic? Will we be capable of getting the Lord of the Dead to surrender and return to his duties as one of the sixteen Guardians of Majoria?
This RP will have very extensive combat scenes as we're in the middle of a cataclysmic war. I will personally take the roles of the Elemental Guardians, so that'll be covered. Character death is a very likely scenario, so be prepared. Dark themes will take place; mentions of abuse, possible kidnappings, and suicidal themes will be common, so be warned.

The Crimson Labyrinth
Just north of the Caleah, the City of Gardens lies an ancient tower, one made almost entirely out of rubies and a crimson granite. This tower has been around since before Canis Majoris was even founded, being one of the oldest buildings in not just Edas, but in the world itself. Though the tower is an impressive feat of engineering and architecture, it's what hides beneath the tower that's really interesting. The Crimson Labyrinth, a massive, sprawling network of tunnels hiding a variety of secrets. Some of the more well known examples are the Walls of Stories, each of them describing a variety of events in Majoria's past, what's stranger is that some of these detail future events with a frightening amount of detail. Ancient treasures, artwork, and even the tombs of the first rulers of Edas. There's a treasure trove of knowledge, wealth, and history just ripe for the picking below the surface.
Unfortunately, while this host of treasures is ripe for the picking, there are plenty of barriers that have prevented people from taking full advantage of what lies within the Labyrinth. The first, and perhaps, most well known are the shadows, these shadows are highly dangerous and can appear anywhere in the labyrinth at anytime, there is no hiding from the shadows. They can slice right through a person's limb as if it were paper, but it never seems to finish off its victims, simply warning to never return. The shadows aren't the only problem, there are also three Enacs, large sea serpents; though, these ones are much larger than ones typically encountered in the wild, and two Calamar, large squids, also much bigger than ones typically encountered in the wild. With all of these dangers, no one has made it halfway through yet. Because of these dangers, exploring the Crimson Labyrinth is highly discouraged, though it's not illegal. Few people have ever returned to the surface with all of their limbs, and no one has yet to see the master of these shadows. Whether it's some hideous beast or something else is completely unknown, and what or who it's guarding is unknown as well.
Essentially, this plot will revolve around the exploration of the Crimson Labyrinth, a large network of tunnels underneath Canis Majoris. The tunnels themselves reach out to as far south as Caleah and as far north as Negrisa, near the border between Canis Majoris and Cepheis. This will mostly involved adventure and possibly a bit of mystery and horror, combat will play a relatively minor role in this RP. I'll be taking the roles of CERRA for this RP.

The more detailed your character is, the more likely you'll be accepted into the RP.
Regarding combat within the world, all of it will be done in a freeform style. Please do not make your character unbeatable. Strong characters are great, undefeatable characters are not. I want characters to be like the... Kansas City Chiefs; you'll win some battles, you'll choke in others, I don't want characters like the New England Patriots; I don't want characters who win nearly every battle.
Now, I don't have too many requirements when it comes to this RP, all I ask is for some patience when RPing with the group. Not everyone will be able to post everyday, so please be patient. I'd also like to ask for at least a paragraph per post, I don't need novels or blocks of text, just something more than 2-3 lines, please. If you have any questions, comments, or anything regarding the RP or the world itself. Please PM me if this interests you. PM your character sheet and any questions you might have. Please don't respond here, it's easier for me to get to you in a PM. I hope to write with you soon.
Magic is common.
Industrial revolution
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
