The uniform worn by all students at Affinity Youth Academy fit Dove perfectly. The top of the uniform from neck to bust was white with black buttons down to her waist with a knee-length black skirt. She wore thigh-high white socks and polished black shoes. Her arms were sleeveless and a black bow in her white chin-length hair completed the look. The school had stylish tastes when it came to uniforms that is for sure.
Dove stepped away from the restroom mirror and pushed a lock of her hair from her bleached face. Her eyes were a bright pink hue along with her lips. Being albino really bummed her out most days. People often stared at her in amazement or shied away from her strangely bright eyes. Some even called her a lab rat. That always stung. Needless to say, Dove was nervous for her first day of school, and the Academy's principal was waiting for her to return so a tour of the school could be given. The albino girl was frightened.
Finally taking a long breath she stepped out from the bathroom, and thankfully no one was in the hall. She returned to the office quietly. She smiled at the well-dressed man who ran this school. He beamed at her.
"Miss Dove, I have brought you a student to show you around the grounds. You will be in good hands."

Minzy knew how it felt, all of it, so when the other kids started to gossip about their impending arrival and how she was, apparently, albino, he knew what to do. He wasn't exactly the best student, but he sucked up for a whole week to make sure the principal couldn't say no when he requested being her guide for a few days. Minzy knew how it felt and he was determined, prepared, to make sure she didn't have to deal with anything she probably did in years past at this school. Not at Affinity. Not on Minzy's watch.
When she re-entered the office and the principal moved to point Minzy out, he jolted to his feet clumsily. He smiled at her, bouncing closer.
"I'm Minzy," he stuck out a hand to shake. "I'm gunna show you all around, every single inch of this school will be explored! Are you ready," he paused, dramatic effect, "to boldly go where no new student has gone before? To see the things unseen to any other newbie's eyes?"
When she re-entered the office and the principal moved to point Minzy out, he jolted to his feet clumsily. He smiled at her, bouncing closer.
"I'm Minzy," he stuck out a hand to shake. "I'm gunna show you all around, every single inch of this school will be explored! Are you ready," he paused, dramatic effect, "to boldly go where no new student has gone before? To see the things unseen to any other newbie's eyes?"
Lightly grasping the boy's hand Dove let a smile form on her lips. She kept her white nails with just barely sharp only able to draw blood should she press and dig into skin, but she did not. After releasing his hand she nervously pinched the bottom of her ear and shifted her weight onto one hip sticking her hip slightly.
"Hello, Minzy. I am Dove." She said softly. Her voice was sweet and had a musical jingle to the ends of her words. "Exploring, that sounds fun."
The academy sure looked beautiful just from the outside that she saw, but a real tour would be amazing. The girl had a weakness for beauty and well crafted buildings. She wondered how large the library was, or what her room would look like, who taught the students and what secrets she would uncover.
But no one must know of her true nature just below her human skin.

That isn't to say he wasn't determined to instill as much wonder, as much excitement, in Dove as he could still remember from his first few days of struggling to find his classes and ending up in strange, new places. Quite the opposite. Minzy punctuated his tour of the most amazing with the less amazing; starting with the courtyard and front yard and explaining these sometimes held classes in nice weather but were mostly used at lunch or for students with spares to hang around, moving to the cafeteria and then the gymnasium, the pool, stopping at the dorm wing.
"Some of us stay at school year round," he pushed his hands deep into his pockets and shifted his weight from leg to leg. "Like me! I'm room 315 just down there," hooked his chin over his shoulder in the vague direction of his room. "Got a great roomie, let me tell you! He's been my best friend since- oh I don't know- ever, practically! Anyway, what about you? Are you a Dorm Kid or a Home Kid?"

The tour of the academy was delightful, every bit beautiful as she expected. She walked with her arms linked at the small of her back. She could see herself really coming to love this place and making a life here. People seemed to keep the staring to a minimal as she passed a few students. Dove assumed majority of kids were in class.
When the two stopped at the dorm wing she smiled at Minzy. He was turning out to be quite a pleasant fellow. She listened to him speak without interrupting, that is until he asked her a question.
"I am a dorm kid." She said and tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. The funny thing was that she didn't have any items to her name to move into the dorm. Hopefully they provided bedding, as for casual clothing, Dove planned on addressing those needs later. It took a lot of effort to just enroll in this school. Shopping would overtire her. Dove wasn't much for chitchat, but enjoyed passive conversations. She found that talking less made settling into new situations much easier. "Thank you for the lovely tour, Minzy." And in a very friendly gesture she relaxed into a very open smile with her eyes twinkling pink and reached out to lightly pinch the skin at his jaw. Up close her skin looked like talcum powder.
