Belle gently patted his back. "Stop laughing and breath, Jason." She was no help because she couldn't stop laughing either.

"Trying," he choked out, taking great gasps of air and laughing.

Belle was finally able to stifle her laughs to simple giggles. She then snorted and covered her mouth and nose with a blush on her face.

He finally managed to calm himself down, still giggling like an idiot. "Oh, Lordy... That's funny."

Belle smiled from ear to ear at him. "I didn't think it would that funny."

"It's funny 'cause it's true." He sat up, straighting his shirt collar since it had gotten out of whack from all the laughing.

Belle nodded. "Yes, yes it is. After just one day of meeting him, I know that he is nothing but a jerk."

"Yeah..." Jason glanced around as if paranoid in being watched, then confessed, "I think he'd be in the Loser Doofus category, if we're going off of high school labels."

Belle laughed, with another snort. She hated when she snorted, she always thought it sounded weird. "Good thing we both grew out of high school and moved on into being adults."

"Right?" He sighed, drumming his fingers on the table.

Belle nodded. She then finished off her food and remembered to call her dad. "Let me go ahead and call my dad to see if we can borrow the country house this weekend." She pulled out her cell phone and dialed her dad's cell phone.

"Okay," he said, scraping up the last of his sauce with his fork.

Belle finally got her dad on the phone. "Hello?" He answered. She paused for a moment, fighting the urge to hang up. "Hey, dad. I was wondering if I could borrow the country house for the weekend so me and a friend of mine could use it to look at the stars." She explained quickly, trying to hurry up and end the conversation. At first her father didn't answer but then there was a quiet. "Okay." She then hung up and smiled over at Jason. "He said we could use it."

"Sweet," he replied with a grin. "Do you want to take your car or mine?"

Belle shrugged. "It doesn't matter which. My car is kind of old so it might be better to take your car." She smiled sheepishly.

"It's kind of old too... But it has plenty of room for the telescope." He paused, thinking about the car.

Belle nodded. "I'm sure it will be just fine to use."

"Alright... Umm, should I pick you up somewhere, or what?" This was the part where he started getting a bit nervous- this was sounding suspiciously like a date.

"You can just meet me at my apartment." She pulled out a piece of paper and wrote down her number and address. She really didn't think of it as a date, she actually didn't want to be in a relationship, mainly because she knew her father wouldn't be happy about it.

"Alright, cool," he said, tucking the slip of paper in his chest pocket with his pens. "I'll be there tomorrow then. Is there anything else I should bring along, do you think?"
