Fiella gently nudged him, similar to what she did to Belle. "Looks like she likes you, Jason."

"That's good," he said, smiling slightly as he pet Fiella.

Belle smiled at him. "Well, let's go ahead and put some satelles on them and teach you how to ride." She opened the gate to Zeon's stable then went and grabbed his satell.

"Okay." He opened up Fiella's stable as well, pulling her saddle out and setting it on a bench, looking up at the horse. "Huh, Fiella? You wanna go for a ride?"

Fialle stomped her hoof in agreement, her dark brown eyes shining. "That means yes." Belle explained as she put of Zeon's saddle.

He grinned, patting the horse and copying Belle's movements. "Am I doing this right?"

Belle looked at him and tried not to laugh. "No, let me help." She went over and fixed what he messed up on. "Don't worry about it, not everyone is good at putting on a saddle."

"Yeah, I'm a city boy," he said, trying not to smile. "You can say it."

Belle smiled at him. "It is fine, I grew up in the suburbs but I came here every summer and winter break."

"You have more experience than I do. But at least I can say I know how to surf, which is apparently a skill every Californian needs to know," he told her with a smile.

"I came here from Nevada, I have no clue how to surf." She said as she finished up tighten the saddle. "Would you like help getting up?"

"Aha! I am triumphant! And hold on a sec, lemme see if I can do this... This is where being tall and long legged should help." With that, he somewhat clumsily mounted Fiella, but at least he got on. "There."

Belle rolled her eyes. "You make it sound like I'm miss perfect." She went over to Zeon and mounted him easily. She gently kicked his side and he began to trot out of the stable. "Gently kick Fiella's side and she will do what Zeon is doing now."

"Well, you are, kind of, besides the surfing thing. I need to take you to the beach one day and show you and THEN you'll be Miss Perfect." He did as he was told, slightly paranoid that he was hurting Fiella, but he trusted what Belle said about the matter.

Belle rolled her green eyes but a blush lightly turned her cheeks pink. "Please, I am far from perfect. Perfect is impossible to obtain in this or any world." She gently pulled on the rains, making Zeon stop in front of the stable.

"You're pretty darn close, then," he insisted doggedly, doing the same to stop Fiella.

Belle rolled her eyes again and lightly shook her head. "Whatever, Jason. Okay, now for your lesson. If you want them to run, you have give them kick them in the side, hard enough to let them know that but gentle enough to not hurt them. Watch me." She kicked Zeon in the side and he took off. She then pulled the rains to the side, making him turn around and run back to the stable then pulled on the rains to make him slow down. "Okay, now you try."

"Okay... Don't kill me, Fiella," he pleaded, slightly nervous. Tons of worst case scenarios were running through his mind; he could fall off and break his neck or his back, or Fiella could accidentally stomp on him, or-
Shut up, Jason. What's life without some risk in it?
"I guess so," he whispered to himself before taking a deep breath and kicking the horse in the side as Belle had instructed.

Fiella bolted just the same as Zeon had did. "Good! Now, to turn her, pull on the rains to the side you want her to turn." She yelled. "To go faster, lash the rains."

"WHOA!" Jason's cry of surprise and exhilaration was lost in the wind. It felt a lot like he was riding on top of a freight train, a gentle, furry freight train.
He turned her carefully back towards Belle, tugging the reins to stop once they were back.
"That... That was..." He couldn't finish that sentence as he had cracked up, letting loose all the nervousness and adrenaline that had built up in him in the form of laughter.
