Kuro was simply in the woods at her camp site, stompin out the fire when she felt something painfully enter her back but it wasn't something to make a huge wound out of. She pulled out what it was and found it was a dart, but what was inside scared her more. She quickly turned back to see who was behind her and found one her master's huntsmen with a cocky grin on his face. She was starting to feel weak and sleepy, but she struggled to stay awake and alert.
"Don't try to resist, it is over, Kuro." He said as she had fallen to her knees, trying to stay strong but finally her body caved in and her world went black.

Once she had woken she looked around the room to see if anyone was around only to find out that she was in a cage in a lab. The scent of cold metal and chemicals filled her lungs and made her gag. She heard in the distance voices and could tell they were coming closer.
"Good job, she is finally caught!" She knew that voice anywhere, Wang Sakuranbo, her master and creator. She began to trash against the bars as they enter the room.
"Stop!" He yelled at her but she ignored him until he grabbed her by the throat. "You are not going anywhere anytime soon, we just got you back, we are not losing you again, Kuro." She glared at him, even with his hand on her windpipe.
"You wouldn't dare hurt me, I'm your only success in a long line of failures." She smriked as he let go of her neck, knowing that she was right.
"Yes, but you are also known as my monster. With having two different sides to you, you are forever marked as a monster, no longer a human being with a soul."
That knocked Kuro out of breath, she knew she had a soul but was she really a monster? It couldn't be! She didn't want to kill anyone unless she had her insane moments.
"I'm not the monster here, you are. You made me the way I am, instead of just letting me be as the human girl I once was!"

Raven was thrown into the crate beside Kuro. She immediately went into the fetal position with her wings tucked into her town jacket and her knees tucked against her chest and cried. "Why me? Why me." she mumbled rocking back and forth as the men who threw her in attached a syringe to her hand painfully.

Kuro saw the new girl they put in the cage next to her. Once the men left, Kuro patted the girl's back. "Don't worry, we'll get out of here. I know this place better than anyone."

Raven looked up at Kuro. "Are you sure?" she said wiping tears off her cheeks.

Kuro nodded. She usually wasn't this nice, but she knew the girl was scared of what might. "Yes I am."

Raven smiled a little when the doors to the storage area were in burst open and two men in white coats came down the isle. They came all the way to Raven's medium sized crate and looked through the bars while Raven cowered. "We finally have specimin 11." the first man said excitingly while the other guy checked her board.

Kuro glared at the men. "What kind of sick joke do you guys get on testing humans?!" She yelled at them. She hated people who tested on human, not their test subjects unless they had given themselves to these people. "Is it fun for you to watch us change and scream?"

The man with the white coat took a tazer out of his pocket and zapped Kuro then turned back to Raven. "Night Night, little birdie." he said shocking her neck. She fell to the cold metal cage floor wings slightly out.

Kuro was unable to block the tazer as much as she tried but the shock of it really didn't last long on her. She shook it off just as the men left. She looked over at the other girl. "Are you okay?" She asked.

Raven heaved herself into a sitting position rubbing her neck from the shock. She looked at Kuro and wiped tears from her eyes. "Are we going to live?" she asked in a timid voice.

Kuro looked over at her. She smiled and nodded. "Yes we are. Right now, we have to wait till midnight, when everyone is fast asleep, so we can unlock our cages." She slipped her hand between the bar, and showed how to unlock the lock on the cage. "They believe we aren't very smart, so it is very easy to unlock."

A man in a uniform opened the door that led to the chambers and closed it quietly looking at the two people in cages. "'The Master'" he said it with a sarcastic tone, "said you monsters won't be getting out now. Thanks to you." he looked at Kuro and walked up to her cage, "You seem to have a damn knack for escaping, experiment 52638, you know that." Strangely the man looked happy when he said that. "This time...try to not get caught." The man chuckled and dropped a slip of paper in Kuro's cell. He then turned around and walked out of the room.
