He choked on the leaf too; it was kinda bitter and left an odd aftertaste. He ate it anyways, though.

"Was eaten a leaf really your best idea?"

"No, but I don't have any other ideas. I'll take any food I can get my mitts on; kinda hard to come by, after all."

(and so says the officer>) "Go take some from somewhere."

(LOLZ.)

"Easy for you to say. I'm a wanted criminal, man- I can't just waltz into a store and grab some stuff and waltz back out. Someone will kill me before I've even taken five steps into the building..." He sighed resentfully. "But boy, what I wouldn't give for something salty, or sweet, or anything..."

"May i remind you your talking to the not wanted guy with money in his back pocket,right?" (e_e some officer)

He looked down at Josh warily, then lowered himself carefully down the tree until he was on the same branch as him.
"What're you suggesting here?"

"i could get you some actual food."

Beyond chimes in "I could go with him and make sure he doesnt do anything suspicious."

"You'd do that? Why?"
Shane looked genuinely confused as to why on earth this officer would stick his neck out for him like that, especially after everything that had happened lately.

"Is there a law saying that i cant?" (xD )

"Not that I know of."

"I cant think of a law that says i cant neither." He stands up "i could help you."

"Why would you want to, though?" he asked, standing up as well and wobbling unsteadily on the branch, holding his arms out for balance.

"I dont really have a understandable reason" . Those moments when you have a reason,you just dont know how to put it in human words

"I'll take it." He climbed down, dropping the last couple of feet and landing in a crouch, looking around cautiously.

Josh and Beyond make their way down

Shane stood up, sniffing the air slightly as he carefully stretched his arms and legs, cautious around his side so he didn't accidentally open it up again.

Josh looks Beyond,then at Shane.

He arched his back, then started walking again, twirling his knife around with his fingers. "Does anybody have any idea where we are?"

"Besides a forest.No idea." Josh replied un-helpfully.
