Taki was too late. The moment he stepped into her hospital room, she could smell that he wasn't human and the she just smelled proved that she was right. She shrugged. "We really shouldn't have to stay long. Maybe a couple days, just until they think I have left the town." She looked over at him. "Now, will you tell me why you helped me and who you are?" She didn't think it was best for her to say that she knew what he was, that could cause him to attack her and try to kill her, and she didn't really want to have to fight him off, even if she was strong and quick, vampires tend to be stronger and faster.
Taki looks at Kuro when she asks him that question she gave him a look of calmness eyt he could feel she was uneasy, he smiles and sits on the staircase looking at Kuro. "Well feeling how uneasy you are I guess you know what I am...well your wrong I'm not a vampire I'm like you I was made in a lab" Taki said rubbing the back of his neck "My names Takahashi Akimitsu, but just call me Taki, I was made in Japan by the government along with others like me we trained day in and day out until we couldn't take it anymore so escaped and came to the U.S"
"We were kids when we broke out ever since then we lived on our own" the serious face that he had turned to a smile when he meet eyes with Kuro "Then about a couple of months ago I started hearing around that someone like us did what we did so I wanted to help you, but my friends didn't they thought we would end up back on Japans radar....so I came alone"

Kuro was surprised that he could sense her emotions like that. If he was made in a lab, then why did he need blood? What had they done to him that her master didn't do to her? "At least you got out early. If I left when I was younger, my brother would be dead." She sighed. Her brother, Daren was the only person she met that showed her any kindness when she was in her master's care. "Why did you risk getting back on Japan's radar just to help me? It was luck that you found me before those wolves could cause more damage to me." She didn't understand why he would do this for her without knowing who she was. She had been subjected to tests and experiments for many endless years, but she was also forced to kill other people she didn't know only to have her master to see what she was lacking and for his amusement. It sicken her to the point that she would've killed him if it wasn't for his wife trying and almost succeeding in her attempt to kill Kuro for the only reason that she saw her as an abomination to the human kind.
"I wouldn't risk getting back on Japans radar for anything if you escaped with someone I would not have even care, but you were alone and no one should have to go through all this alone" Taki said smiling as he thought about everyone "The oldest one our leader Neruo always had my back even when I couldn't control my strength...I don't need blood to survive is just without it I have no strength to do anything"
Kuro nodded. "I see. I am fine on my own. There was other experiments, but they were failures and went insane. They didn't come with me and my master wants me back so badly is because I am the only success in a long line of failures." She shrugged. "We better keep looking around here for a place to sleep and all that." She began to continue to walk around the inside of the house trying to figure where everything was and how long it would be able to keep standing.
Taki watch as Kuro walks away looking around the house "I guess I'll take a look up stairs" he said getting up then walking up the stairs. Right away there was graffiti all over the walls probably from some kids playing around up here, Taki opens the door to one room seeing a bed on the floor with rip drapes hanging on the window, he left the door open and began to walk down the hallway whispering to himself "Nice job you sound like a totally douche down there pretty much scared her off and I'll doubt she'll trust me" he whispers opening the bathroom door.
"toilet and sank works!!" he screamed down stairs as he walked pass the staircase to check on the last room, opening the door he finds a bed in the middle of the room like the first one.

Taki was wrong. It was always hard to gain Kuro's trust, but he went out of his way to come and help her when no one else wanted to because she was unknown and she kept to herself. That was something to her, not many people would do that for her until they got to know her first, to see the softer side of the rough edge teenager. She already considered herself as an adult because she was only a year away from being eighteen, it could be less but she didn't keep up with the months, just the changing of seasons. She nodded when she heard what he called down. "Alright!" She called back up. She had found a kitchen with a stove, table, and all that, but the gas was off for the stove but the sink worked just fine. The living room was a good size with a fireplace and a dusty, old couch.
Tristen heads back downstairs seeing Kuro in the living room "there's two bedrooms each with a bed just pick one when your ready to go to sleep" he said sitting on the dusty couch, once Taki sat on the couch dusty just filled the air almost blinding him. "So you know you don't have to go back into the woods me and others have a life in New York, you can start over there hiding in a sea of people not always running scared anymore"
Taki thought back about those nights of non stop running when they escaped it was as if they traded one hell for another until they finally got away and started a life with out pain or regret.

Kuro sat down beside him and shook her head. "Can't. If I tried, the police would find out that I am not eighteen and send me back to my master until I am eighteen. They probably wouldn't believe me if I told them all that he has done to me." She blew out a sighed, moving the dust away. She couldn't wait for the day when she turned eighteen so she could make a life for herself. She was better off running in the woods, than being back with her master. She shuddered at the thought of going through all those painful mutations again.
"Your age doesn't matter we have some guys there that can make you eighteen on your state ID giving you a whole new identity...I mean its gotta be better then running around in the woods all the time dodging wolves and god knows what else is out there I don't think that's what your brother would want for you". Taki just thought of all the things Neruo would say in order to keep this girl safe and he knew the best way for that to happen was for her to head back with him.
Kuro sighed. "I guess you are right. The first thing I have to do when we get to New York is to find my brother. I hadn't seen or heard from him since I started running. I know he is alive because if he was dead, I would be the first to know because we have a tie." Most people didn't understand what she meant but her and her brother had a close tie to each other to the point that if one of them were to die the other would feel an horrible pain and tears would flood their eyes. That was the sign that one was dead and Kuro had not seen that sign yet.
"You and your brother have what Haylee and Kaylee have, looks like your master and the Japanese government have some ties together" Taki said with a face of confusion "I'm glad your deciding to come your going to fit right in with my family, so here's what we're going to do, we'll head straight to New York first thing in the mourning then Neruo will try to figure out a plan to get your brother away from your master"
"I don't really understand the tie between us much either but I just know it is there." She leaned her head back against the back of the couch and covered her eyes with her lower arm. "We still need to go back to my campsite, we can try going during the night before we leave in the morning."
"Right I forgot about your campsite and moving at night would probably be better then moving during the day" Taki said looking out one of the dusty window to see that the sun was almost completely down. "Well whatever is at that campsite better be worth it" Taki said standing up "Well lets get going, you lead the way and I'll follow the leader"
Kuro nodded and stood up. "It is across town so it shouldn't take too long and I have a friend there waiting for me. No, he is not human. He is a dragon created from a lizard egg." That was probably one of the rumors that had just been proven true. "We can try cutting across town or we could go around town through the woods."
"A dragon created from a lizard egg...I heard they were doing something like that just didn't think they succeed, it must be pretty awesome" Taki said with a smile "If we're heading out the best way to get there is through the woods no one will see us and we got you to lead us so we should be fine"
Taki walks pass Kuro and opens the front door "I follow you"

"He can be quite the handful at times. He is only seven but he has the wise and smart ways of any dragon." She shrugged, remembering that as soon as she was a foot away from the campsite, Suta was going come sense her and fly straight towards her. She was his mother, in a way. "It wasn't hard for them to sucesseed in it" She watched as he walked to the door and walked out when he opened it for her. She knew the path to the campsite fairly well so it should be no problem getting there.
Taki follows behind Kuro as she heads out the door, the sun had almost completely set and the night was coming little by little "We'll drive half way and hike to you campsite the rest" Tristen says opening the car door and getting in. Once Kuro had sat shotgun he started the car and drove back to the city "So if you don't mind me asking what animal did they splice you with?"
Kuro nodded as she got into shotgun and watched Taki drive the car. She shrugged at his question, looking out the window. "Many different ones. My master was trying to make me perfect, so he used as many different animals." She watched the city pass by.
"Your master sounds like the jackasses that made me and my family, nothing was ever good enough for them" Taki says shaking his head. Driving through the city Taki thought of New York and how home sick he was, he had never been allowed to leave the city in case the government was still looking for them out there.
"Let me know when we get close enough and then when we start hiking youu lead the way"
