Karissa trotted down a path through a dense forest. The path was lined with pines trees and frosted grass. It was the winter season, so the pine trees were covered with a thick layer of snow. Karissa wore a heavy, light pink coat and light pink winter boots to mach. The mysterious lady had given them to her a few weeks ago before the snow had begune. The snow still fell from the night sky in thick layers and the sky had a grey tint to it, making it hard to see in front of her. Even so, she still walked the path, her boots crunching under the snow, leaving imprents when she brought them up.
Followed the small footprints through the forest. His motions quiet and careful. He knelt down to study the prints. He made a small exhale and looked up, she wasn't in sight but he was close. He grinned under his mask and stood back up. He wasn't told much on his target. Just a half payment up front. A simple elimination. One bullet, go home. He pulled himself into a tree and silently moved from branch to branch tracking her.
Once he had caught up, he just kept quiet. He watched her for a moment, "A kid.." he whispered as he studied her movements.

Karissa stopped walking when she heard a noise from a tree. Due her bat DNA, she had the hearing of one, so it was easy to hear the smallest of noises. She saw a figure in one of the nearby trees, and started to head towards it. With curious eyes she squinted through the thick snow.
He stopped moving as she walked up, She can hear me?, he thought to himself as he watched. He was caught off guard by this. If she was that good then he had to be more cautious. He moved very slowly, his suit allowing him to this in total silence. His breath held as he looked down. He made a slow exhale and jumped up, forcing the tree to make noise as he hit the ground a short distance from her. His hand was on his blade as he reached up and activated the lenses of his mask. The red glow piercing through to gaze at her. He had activated his thermal vision.
Karissa pulled her coat closer to her chest as her eyes were just barly able to follow the figure throught the trees. She soon lost him through the thick snow until she heard a tree make a noise not far off from where she was. Not seeing where the noise came from, she depended on her ears to help her determin where it came from and started towards the location. She soon was just a few feet away from the figure in the trees, now noticing it was wearing a mask. She made a small noise, as if to let the figure know that she was there.
He took a deep breath and ran forward as fast as he could, his hand still on the hilt of his sword. He darted side to side as he approached. The red glow off his lenses making him look like a beast instead of a man. His eyes set on his target.
Nico sat above the man in the mask and watchd his movements intently, staring from the thick tree branch. Nico wondered if he would have to jump in so he unsheathed his sword. His eyes tracked both of their movements darting back and forth quickly and restless. (hope I can join in)
Karissa watched him as he zig-zaged towards her, but did not panic. She had no idea she was in any danger. Just then, the mysterious woman appered in the back of of the figure in a transluent state, and motioned farther down the path, signaling her to run. Karissa obeyed the woman and started down the path, her cheetah DNA kicking in. With each step she took, she got faster and faster until she was running full speed down the pathway. She didnt know why she was running, but she always did what the woman told her to do without question.
He growled and let go of the sword and pulled out his gun. Was this wrong? He re holstered the weapon and pushed his body, he couldn't close the gap cause of her speed but he kept her in sight. "Stop now," He looked down again, the woman. He pulled out his gun once more and fired off to the woman leading the girl. If he could stop her...
(Yeah, its fine of you join, but just know that Alexander is going to have a change of heart about killing Karissa. Otherwise, hes going to become good.)
Karissa kept running, but when the gunshots sounded, she slowed down. The bullets went right through the woman as if she were made of smoke. The woman pointed to a near by cave, and Karissa changed direction towards it. When she got there, she entered the opening and a pile of rocks collasped and blocked anyone from entering. After that, the woman evaporated into thin air. Karissa stood at the enterence of the cave as if she were expecting someone find her behind the pile of rocks. The only light she could see was the dim beams of light peaking through the rocks.

He slid to a stop seeing the cave entrance close. And his shots, "That is impossible.." he shook his head, "Just a trick, that is all." he quickly began switching out clips, "Little brat.." he began firing the explosive rounds at the base of the rocks, hoping to jar them loose enough. "I will find you..."
As Karissa listened to the shots being fired, she watched the rocks loosen up. A faint glow could be seen at the end of the cave, and the woman appeared in front of her. She pointed karissa towards the light and Karissa started to walk deeper into he cave, the shots becoming softer as she wandered deeper. She soon came to the end of the cave, where another opening could be found, but no path. Not knowing what to do, Karissa sat down in the cold snow and waited.
When the rocks finally moved he moved into the cave. He noticed the faint heat signal from the end of the cave path. He slipped the gun into its holster and kept moving. He grabbed the sword hilt and walked slowly. His breathing grew slower as he moved across the wall, "Little girl..."
Karissa's ears twiched as she herd a sound come from the cave. She cranked her head to the side to see the same figure trying to sneak up on her. She stood up and stared blankly at him as he made his way down the cave wall. She gave him a warm smile as if to greet him when he was just close enough to see her.
He seen the smile and held the blade. "Quit smiling kid," his hand squeezed the hilt. She was right there, just a quick slash. It would be over..."Why are you smiling?" He pulled the blade just a little.
Karissa's smile fadded as she tried to make sense of what he just said. The only word she understood was 'why', so she just smiled again and repeated the word that stuch out to her that she didnt understand. "Smile?" She echoed with an innocent face.
"God.." he ripped out blade and looked down to her, "Why..." he stared at her small figure and her smile. The contract ran through his mind. He had to just do it, just a quick slash. He slung the blade. He looked down, hsi code was held...his own blood dripped from his leg. "C'mon kid.." he sheathed the blade and picked her up. "Let's get you to a safe place...and me a doctor." he picked her up. "What's your name?"
Karissa giggled when he picked her up, then her face went into concentration when he asked her. "Ka-ris-sa." She emphasized every syllable, trying not to mess it up. However, another name came to mind, the name the scientist called her, Project 946. The only reason she called herself Karissa was because that woman always called her by that.
He sighed and limped out the cave, "That is a pretty name," he said as he held her, "How about you pull off my mask. I show you what I look like." he chuckled. "You can call me Alex." he looked around, "Ok, so let's see. Where should we go..."
"Alex." Karissa echoed his name and looked at the snow covered forest. The path that she had been walking on was back through the cave. In the distance, the faint clinking of metal could be heard by Karissa through the cave. Her head cranked back towards it and she looked up at Alex, expecting him to hear it.
