"Oh I'm sorry. I was just enjoying the banter. My names Jules. Jules Giest. I assure you demons dont simply just eat your body and soul. No no. Whatever you encountered was different. However, that's not the point here. Regardless, it appears you have judged me before getting to know me!" She scoffs. "Typical of course so I'm not surprised. However, I had a human kill someone special to me and you dont see me discriminating and killing every human I see." She smirks. "Unless they are monsters in their own design."
She stretches. "So, you want to fight me? And your reasoning behind it is because... I'm a demon. So you realize there are many different types of demons? The one you encountered is a hybrid. A demon mixed with something else. They dont play with their food but just devour it." Her eyes turn white. "You see I'm not the kind of demon you should be killing. Without me, people die faster." She crosses her arms and her eyes turn normal. "Granted i could also be someone's worst nightmare but I choose the simpler life."
She looks at them. "Now I could give you more of a history lesson on demons considering you think all demons are the same or we can move past this petty revenge toward me. Who knows, perhaps I know who killed your family and can lead you to them." She shrugs and smirks slightly. "Fighting though will solve nothing." She says with disinterest.

"...Wha-!?" Whatever he was about to say gets lost in a startled cry as the machine lurches forward. The mercenary nearly falls, having not paid attention to her warning. Drake wraps his arms tightly around her now, evening digging his fingers into her fur to stop himself from hitting the ground. His heart hammers against his ribs.
He's silent for the rest of the ride, except when he belted a round of nervous (Or excited? He's not even sure.) laughter after almost flying from his seat. Drake doesn't notice when they draw near Jule's lighthouse, at least not until Victi perhaps slows down or screeches to a halt before hitting the target.

Adriannu looked rather confused when Raven said that if the message is true, then she had already been in danger all morning. Nevertheless, she kept herself busy herself petting the cat in all the places she knew that cats tended to like. Hearing her purr did bring a small smile to the child despite her confusion and concerned for her new friend. The sound of a feline purring was a very soothing sound to her as it reminded her of her mother purring while she cooked dinner.
Raven then went on to say that, no, she hadn't heard her message, but that she had seen the disc that it came from before dropping the bombshell that it resembles the one that "we" got earlier. "By we, do you mean this person you said would be my companion, they have a magic clay shard too?!" However instead of looking happy at this news, Adriannu actually looked extremely wary. "What is this person like? Are they an adult? I don't like adults, they're cruel. Would they try to steal my shard? If they try to steal it...I'll hurt them. No one takes my shard."
There was a startling amount of venom in her voice, and not the petty sort that someone might hear in an upset child. No it and the threat against a would-be thief were delivered with perfect sincerity. It was a complete 180 degrees from the sweet, selfless child Raven had been talking to just a second ago. Yet that sweetness from earlier was also completely sincere and even now she was gently petting Raven with the exact same amount of care. Clearly something had to have happened for a child to act in this way and just as clearly, that something involved adults.

"...What? Oh, no. Well, yes," Raven's cockiness falters; the girl's complete personality flip throws her off the game. "Yes, my friend is an adult. No, I doubt she'll wanna steal your shard. She's probably busy trying to come with a way to destroy the one we've already got."
"And she's not cruel." Raven spits the word "cruel" with almost as much venom as what Adriannu sputters with her opinion on adults. "She's kind of like you. In the sense that she's kind, or at least she always means well."
Raven sits up and brushes away her gentle hands with an equally gentle paw. "It's smart of you to be cautious, though. I think you and Liz will get along just fine."
"And if you don't?" Raven tilts her head, a slightly sad smile creeping along her face as she considers that possibility. "No one's going to force you to stick with us. I just figured since we're both stuck on the same sinking ship, we should consider helping one another. You know?" Raven gets to her feet and takes a few cautious steps back, like she's thinking of leaving.
"That seem like the right direction still?" she asks as they stop a hundred meters away or so, "Because it's either where that argument is, or off in the oce--"
Her ears perk up.
"I heard a line!" she whispers loudly, excited, "hold on, I'm gonna make an entrance!" she says with a breathy quiet chuckle, "And I'd appreciate it if you helped out. We might only have a couple moments to talk once we're going. If you're willing to go along with it, get ready to be teleported around.... that side of the building." She points to the destination.
Victi and Drake appear around the side of the lighthouse, out of view of the debate. A few seconds of magical preparation later, Victi walks around, slowly, confidently, into view. As far as anyone there would see, barring sensing the burst of magic, she would appear to have been waiting there for her moment to reveal herself.
"Listen to the nice lady," Victi says as she emerges, using a slightly creepy and cold tone of voice, "Don't burn bridges before you know where they go. You might need to run across them sooner than you'd think."
"Three of you carry Shards of the Bloodied Vase, she continues, voice stronger and clearer, "I know you've been informed about them, and about me coming to take them, so I'll skip the get-to-know-your-monster bit. You already know I'm worse than any demon, so tell me, are you going to be good boys and girls and hand them over, or will I need to take them by force?"
She smiles as she says it, lightning crackling between her fingertips.

She glances over at her. Her eyes are blank. "Are those the only two options you see?" She shifts her weight. She makes sure she has her eyes on her and the other 2 whom were trying to kill her.
"I must say, I am intrigued in your devices and would be thrilled to learn more about them. However, I prefer we dont fight but I refuse to let you have the shards. At least mine." She knows this area like the back of her hand. She built secrets all over. However she knew she'd have to be clever in order to get everyone out of here safely.
"It appears we have different interests slightly here. I know you are powerful. I'm not scared. I just have to, like you, achieve a goal. It's a shame really that we cant see eye to eye here." She gives a slight shrug.

"Oh, please, this isn't some issue of conflicting moralities and fundamentally opposed philosophical viewpoints leading to unresolvable debates and unfortunate lapses in communication vis-a-vis our understandings with regards to our opinions on, say, the current sociopolitical situation and need for education in regards to demonic affairs," Victi says with a laugh, "This is simply a matter of 'you have the thing I want, and you've been told not to give it to me!' I'm happy you're curious about things, though. Here! have another thing to think about!"
A tail flicks forward, slinging a hard round object, like a metal fruit with its outside cut into small triangular pieces. "An important thought to have on this one is about the lethal blast radius of 5.2 meters," she says with a wild grin as the object starts beeping.

She catches it and runs to the cliff edge and swan dives off. She flies over the water until she feels shes far enough away and drops it and immediately heads back. It goes off and the water took most of the damage it would have done away but still manages to send Jules flying back to the hill top. She had burns all up her back as her clothing burned into her skin. Not to mention her shin snapped with a loud cracking sound on impact.
She begins to laugh as her body began healing itself and her leg snapped back into place. She got up. Her clothes, since technically being melted and ripped, reveal a lot of her curves amongst other things. She is completely unaware. "That was and interesting experience to say the least." She says trying to play it off, however she knew she had to get everyone out of here asap. She takes a deep breath.

As soon as Jules touches it, an electrical current surges through her body, the rigged illusion fading away. The device wasn't real at all
"You know that if it was real I could have just set it off, right?" Victi asks with a snort and a wide toothy smile, "Still, you didn't just panic, so that's.... respectable. Either willing to sacrifice yourself for your enemies or thinking you have tricks to survive a shrapnel blast. Very interesting, I admit."

Neo would growl, and hold on to his arm.'As ling as she doesn't know that the shard is in my arm,I think I'm good '"1)I not giving you the shard and 2)I dealt with think much worse than you lady."Neo would summon Lucifer,a devil look backpack, that holds exploding swords."Besides,I like to see you try to take it."
"Oh! Swords!" She exclaims, clapping her hands happily, "How about I let you meet mine while I go to see about snagging the shards!"
With that, she leaps forward, hands moving to give a rising sword strike as a very large weapon materializes in her grip. A blade as long as her body and nearly a foot across sweeps upward at Neo, the light of the setting sun gleaming off of its heavily runed surface.

Neo would step back, throwing as much swords in the air and ground as possible."But the thing with these sword, they blow up and leave nothing left.",Neo said,as he got Victi in the middle.Neo then proceed to snap his fingers, and one by one the swords blew up.
She blade-brakes as he hurls the weapons, driving her sword into the ground and perching on the crossguard, not wanting to get to close to the ring of blades
As he explains the technique, she says, "Okay, so what you're saying is that this is about to su--" And then she's cut off by the roar of the explosions.
There are sharp flashes of blue-white light among the smoke, making a dazzling display outlining the shape of her body. As the dust settles, she remains perched on her weapon.... Though it's pretty obvious at this point that some of the dust is falling through her.
"Okay, that was actually cool," she admits, "Though.... you know, I'm not completely suicidal, so no dice on it actually working thanks to the illusion thing. I am nearby, though. Close enough to still hurt you, of course." She chuckles as her image fades away.
((OOC note: we do have her actual position set, I'm not just cheesing. Dazz and I have and will set what's real and what isn't at the start of each encounter, and decide if anything new she's using (like the grenade) is real or not before I make the post. Good luck. ))

Lisa listens as she leads them further into the woods where the tree branches weave so tightly together that the canopy nearly blots out the sky, leaving only a few specks of early morning sunlight to dot the forest floor.
Another long silence draws between them as Lisa considers her answer, which the girl is careful to make frustratingly vague.
I suppose it's fair of her to spare me the details. It's all well and fair indeed, but acknowledging that Evelyn has a right to keep secrets doesn't abate the uneasy feeling again weighing in Lisa's gut. "Something's coming for you, huh?" Despite how vague she kept it, her problem much too similar to my situation.
Much too similar indeed; it's almost as if Evelyn knows her situation- her past, even -and is trying to use it to manipulate her into pulling down her defenses. But even through her exhaustion and distress, she realizes that she'd have to jump through flaming heaps of conclusions to prove that theory.
So Lisa sets the thought aside. There's something more important to consider, provided Evelyn is telling the truth.
"I...if that's the case, I'd like to help you. I have medicine and food to spare for the start of a long journey. That is, if you plan to run."
If she's telling the truth...actually, she'll be just as likely to decline as she is to take her offer. If she's an evil manipulator, she might just seize the chance to have Lisa willingly lead her to her home. No matter what Evelyn's motives are, Liz is certain they won't stop her from instantly regretting the words as they slip from her tongue.

Drake listens, hatching some strategies of his own. He reaches for his sword, growing eager to fight, then Victi says something that raises a few alarms. "Wait, tele-"
Then they're both on the other side of the towering lighthouse. "...port?" Drake blinks. Okay. She just did that.
He peers around the corner and sees that the vixen, without really stopping to talk strategy at all, has launched some of her illusions to screw with them. Alright, I suppose we're improvising.
It does occur to Drake that she probably doesn't need to him to help kick the enemy's collective asses, but he draws his sword anyways and waits. He studies.
Neo is, at first appearance, a human boy with a really screwed-up arm and a bag full of explosive swords.
The Warden and The Spartan look much like common mercenaries. At that, he feels a stirring sense of comradery and smiles. If they're any good, he expects to enjoy them as worthy opponents.
What do you know? Victi was right.
His eyes widen as he recognizes Jules. It's her! It's the girl from the bar, just...different. She's apparently some variety of demon, with healing powers plus some glamour or shapeshifting abilities that help her hide in plain sight.
She might be a serious challenge.
When Neo's weapons explode into clouds of fire and choking smoke, Drake finally takes action. Using the dust and debris as cover, he charges the half-demon and swings his sword at his chest.

Neo would sigh, summoning Agni and Rudra."You know you didn't have to to that..."The red sword said,"I know, but just wanted to make an example."Rudra, who was listening, also sense an another presence. When he notice,Rudra would use the wind, blocking the strike to the chest.Neo would said,"What the de-oh.",seeing the sword afterwards.Neo would shake his head, simiply saying,"I'm not in the mood to fight,so please spare the both of us,before one of us,ends up dead."
The blast of air knocks Drake away and he stumbles like he'd run into a wall. He crouches and recovers his balance, taking a low defensive stance. Now he narrows his eyes, studying Neo's dual blades who glow softly with complicated enchantments. "Neat," he mutters, then he chuckles.
"We both know there's only one way you're all gonna get spared." For a moment, his laughter doesn't sound cocky, but nervous; although the combat excites him, Drake isn't interested in toying with his enemy nor does he look forward to killing them. He raises his sword and circles around Neo, seeming strangely relaxed but alert like this is the start of a friendly spar. "Now you don't have a choice. You wanna fight me or just deal with her?"

I hate this... she thinks to herself. Why of all days...of all people.. Her thoughts were placed on hold as she recognizes the man running towards Neo. Her eyes turn black. "Why is he fighting us? He didn't honestly join.. her..." she pauses and can sense that his nervousness and hesitations slightly. This fox has him wrapped around her finger it seems... perhaps she has him too scared to fight back... I dont blame him. She grabs here chain and sickle and whips it at the man. The chain wraps around his arm as she yanks the chain hard tightening around him. As she pulls she moves out of the way foreseeing any counter attack and kicks her foot out knocking him to the ground. "This fighting is pointless... Why are you teaming with her!?" Her eyes that were once black held a tiny of red as her feathered wings turned to a more bat like wing. Her eyes held a hint of anger and sadness if you looked hard enough. Otherwise she looked soulless.
Another illusion of the vixen appears, this one slightly transparent, obviously not real, and floating in the air as if lounging on a couch. She gives a chuckle before chiding, "Someone's never hired sellswords for morally dubious tasks before. I presented my reason for what I'm doing, I offered good payment, which I'd like him to survive long enough to recieve, by the way, I have a whole thing about debts, and he seemed willing to offer his services at that point. Clear enough for you, jiggles?"
The image sneers mockingly as it fades, Victi hoping the taunt would work. There's a metalic clink and rattle as Drake is suddenly a few meters away from where he lay entangled and the chain of Jules's weapon, now wrapped around nothing, clatters to the ground.

Jules looks down at her chest once she said jiggles and smirks. "Thank you for the compliment." She gathers her chain back. "So you're paying him? No... I feel like there is more here than that. Let the poor man go would ya. What on earth do you plan to do with him after all this anyway? Besides, it would seem someone of your power would fair better on their own so having help seems... out of the ordinary a bit. Either way I'm tired of illusions and mind tricks." She places her weapon back on her hip.
Drake sneers and moves to lunge at Neo again when the bite of cold metal coils around his arm. “What-!?” The surprise leaves him vulnerable to being pulled then kicked to the ground.
“Damn! Oh, it’s you.” In the brief moment they’re eye-to-eye, he smirks. “You look different. Do something with your hair, or...?” His gaze starts to trail toward her chest.
And then he’s free. Having done nothing to free himself. He sneers and snaps at Victi, wherever she’s hiding. “Arrgh! Lady, I had that under control.”
Then he sighs, relaxing. This is fine, now two of his enemies are safely in sight. Keeping the other two in his peripheral, he twirls his sword and steps forward. “As she said, it’s just business.” Then he lunges, going in for a stab that he knows she can easily block or dodge. That’s fine; sharp claws are forming on the tips of his free fingers. The shift is subtle and Jules has a point sword thrusting toward her gut, hopefully keeping her distracted.
