Alastor Kain (played by frostwyrmm)

Alastor nodded. "Look out for a vixen. Don't let her get the shards. Learn some names. Got it. Well Neo, I'll be looking forward to working with you and your... friends, I guess? You look like the type that's good in a fight, and you don't trust me, so you're perceptive. Yeah, this should be entertaining to say the least!"

Alastor extended his hand for a handshake. "Whaddya say we go earn ourselves a fortune?"
Neo Angelo (played by dantefrancis)

Neo would grab his hand, shaking,"I'll agree to that."He would turn around to see the two of them done talking.
Jules smiles sweetly at her. "Does this mean I get the honor of being your friend? Well Lily is a beautiful name." She floats down using her wings. She watches Lily carefully to make sure she doesnt slip.

"Well, I... I suppose you could say I was made in heaven. My growing ups story and how I was created is very long and quite boring. And a bit confusing." She chuckles.

"Those boys over there kind of need me too, you know? They would be lost without me." She giggles. "Tell you what, because I really like your company and I can make sure they dont bother you, why dont you come with us? I'll even let you carry something I hold special to me. But you have to promise me you will do your best to keep it safe okay? Dont give it to anyone. Not even me if I ask for it okay?" She smiles as she holds her hand.

She sighs and looks for a tavern. While she hates using drunk people as her prey, they tend to be the easiest to drag away from people. She eventually found the tavern and headed inside. She sat at an empty space at the bar and looked at the people around her. She wanted to find an easy target so she could get done drinking fast. She thought that drinking from people was too much of a chore sometimes. She sighed again while looking around at people. She kept a hand on her hairpiece so no one could steal it.

The village's tavern lies on a side street just off the south side of the village square. Most of the villagers gather on the outskirts of town, where they can most easily see the flames, making it an easy crossing. The tavern, too, is mostly abandoned. Two drunk men mope in a corner table, their mugs empty. One spits in his glass and curses the lousy service. "Theee 'keep shoulda'...hic....shoulda gots mah drink by now." The other nods in agreement. His eyes are half-closed, glazing over as he leans forward until his head hits the table. He doesn't get back up. Obnoxious snores confirm he has fallen into a drunken coma.
"Well yes."Liliath sighed deep "I like your name to Jules.". Liliath laughed "I don't wanna know now, maybe later." Liliath giggeld when Jules giggeld "yes boys are stupid they can't do anything on their own!" Liliath grabbed Jules hand "I promise." Then she walked to the Neo and Alastor.
Alastor Kain (played by frostwyrmm)

Alastor yelled out to Jules and the girl. "OI! We ready to go?! We've already stuck around here too long!"
He glanced around. "Alright folks, if we're in a cityscape I'll be able to show you all some of the best ways to disappear. But we aren't there, so what are we doing? Julesy? Neo? Small child?"
"Well finding a place to sleep would be good, maybe in the woods? Noboyd would find us there!" Liliath said pointing to the woods "We could calmly stay there until we find something better."
Neo Angelo (played by dantefrancis)

"Don't agree with that,I suggest with find the other shards...", Neo said,as he getting up."Lily was it?We are being chased by someone who want the shards,so we can't just stay still,we need to be on the move."
"That name is for friends so not for you." Liliath said before she walked over to Jules and decided to hide behind her back "What on earth is a shard!?""
Victi Aurora Silverfur wrote:
After a minute or two, Victi tentatively pulls herself up using the seat of her Shriker, stopping to take a couple of deep breaths as her body got used to not having mana to run along her nerves. Her movements seemed a bit sluggish, as if she'd been lightly drugged or very drunk.

She mutters something else in her native language, and part of the console of her vehical slides out of the way, exposing another, smaller, compartment. All that's in it is a half dozen small vials of a thick clear liquid, and a handle piece that it looks like the vials can slot into.

She takes one of the vials and looks at it, turning it with her fingers for a few moments before popping it into the grip and adjusting something on the tiny display which flicked into existence as she did so.

Even the quarter dose she had set it to would likely heal his hand just fine. She knew that. And she did want to prove that Jules lady wrong about treating her merc as disposable. Nobody with any professional courtesy did that kind of thing.

On the other hand (heh) she really didn't want to use nano on him. Sure, she had a living fountain of the stuff back on the ship, but down here she didn't have much, and it was mostly for life-and-death type things. You never really appreciate something until it's rare.

No, not giving it to him. Not yet at least. She set the injector to 'locked' and out it back, re-sealing the console. They needed to avoid fights for a while, that injury of Drake's would help her remember that while her mana reserves recovered. ....And she went through withdrawl. She knew that would kick in way sooner than she wanted. That spell was quite the hit, but while all of her remaining energy went to keeping her defenses up, her body would start to crave running mana through it in more normal ways, ways she couldn't allow just yet. She gave it an hour before the cramping.

She shook her head slightly, and moved to the open back compatment. Drake had made a bit of a mess in there, but she was still able to find what she needed. A small bottle of painkillers. She pulled out two of the capsules and swallowed one of them. It would help with the withdrawal later. She then held the other out to Drake, saying "You'll want this. Don't bite it, just swallow it. It will reduce the pain a lot, and then we can get going. I don't wanna stay in one place for long while we're like this."

He looks up and watches Victi silently as she studies a vial of clear liquid, perhaps considering their next course of action. He looks down at his bandaged hand. This is the kind of wound that ruins careers; people who heal like that demon woman (he’d damn to her to hell if she hadn’t already been there) are rare and their services rarely run cheap. Or they have long waiting lists, or they’re extremely selective about who they heal. Few employers are willing to pay egregious amounts of money or wait months to repair your typical mercenary. It's most often at this point he'd be let go.

As in fired, not killed. Very few people actually dispose of their subordinates the way Jules described. It takes a lot of work to hide a dead body, and there are easier if arguably crueler ways to keep a loose-lipped ex-merc quiet.

The issue with Victi, however, lies in her predatory streak and apparent preference for chaos and destruction. She just destroyed half the coast to, as far as he can tell, show off her power. If she hadn’t drained all of her energy doing so, he’d be afraid for his life.

He starts a little, nearly jumping to attention when Victi addresses him. She holds out a small, round capsule and instructs him to swallow it.

Drake eyes the pill dubiously, but suspecting that poison isn’t exactly her style, he takes it, mutters a “thank you” and pops it into his mouth.

She goes on to discuss moving. He turns away from her and the fire- best to move away from her catastrophe -and scans the edge of the woods. Trying not to think about how many people she’d just killed, he says “the cover of trees makes a good start, right?”

"Yeah, it's a start," she mutters, seeming distracted or worried as she closes everything up, "I'm more comfortable in the forest than not...."

After a minute of contemplation she quietly admits, "That spell shouldn't have done that. It should have been a coherent beam, clean shot, and then swept off over the ocean and left the atmosphere. Not set everything on fire."

She goes quiet again as she readies the Shriker.

"It's not good practise as a predator, you know?" she says, "The actual prey, possible threats, intruders into your territory, people interfering with the hunt? Those are people to kill. Random people? People I haven't even seen? I'm not okay with that, there's no reason or benefit to their deaths. I still say my decision to remove the threat was the right one, but I'm not happy with the costs. Best to keep moving forward, nothing we can do for them now."

She seat herself on the vehicle and separates her tails, leaving space for him to get back on behind her again. "We won't be going as quickly this time," she reassures him, "Neither of us is up to holding on well enough right now."
Alastor Kain (played by frostwyrmm)

Alastor glanced over at Neo. "How did you... never mind."

Alastor thought to himself. "The woods would be a good idea, though I don't think we could stay there. We need to keep moving. Good idea though, scamp. By the way, I know you don't want to tell us your name, but is there anything we can call you instead? We might need something in case we get separated."

"And as for finding those with the shards, that goes without saying. The more people we have in our little band of survivors, the better. But we need a plan for between now and then. Something to keep our presence low."

"What do you think, Julesy? Any objections, or things to add?"
"Just make something up as long as its not Lily." Liliath said a little annoyed "Also in the woods we can keep moving with ease, its very big." Liliath said letting her hands in the air as she tried to show how 'big'the woods were "Anyways what are shards?"
"I'm thinking. The woods is definitely vast and would be harder to pin point." She knits her brows in thought. "I wonder if there isnt something under ground... I mean hear me out. She is tracking us through the shards. Therefore, she knows where we are, BUT if we are underground, for one it may somehow jumble the signal... doubtful but maybe. And for two, she may know the location but it may take her a minute to realize we under ground." She sighs. "Just would have to not get trapped and if we want to increase our numbers then... well that could be tricky." She ponders then looks at Lily.

"Shards are little pieces of a vase. There are people out there with a shard. Now, each shard has a special ability but it can only be used with blood. These shards, if placed together, will bring chaos to this world. There is a fox gal or wolf... um... anyway she is after these shards. She wishes to do something bad with them. The people whom have a shard need to protect it with their life and make sure this woman does not achieve her goal. That is what the disc says more or less. My memory is hazy on specifics." She smiles.

She places the shard she had picked up inside a little bunny plushie. "Would you like to have this? I can always put the shard anywhere else. For example, a necklace or bracelet or really anything I have on me." She asks Liliath before turning back to the boys.

"I think we need to get food and supplies... that's the number one priority. Which means we have to stay low and not draw attention to ourselves if we do go into town." She sighs. "The closet village knows my human form and knows I'm a demon so if you choose that one... well it would not be pretty. We ended on bad terms..." she looks away and winces. "But I think the woods is where we should venture to after we get some necessities. We can look for other shard holders as we go." She smiles. "I'm up for any other ideas if you have any, but seeing my home like this is bumming me out. We should move." She chuckles.
Alastor Kain (played by frostwyrmm)

Alastor grinned. "Supplies, eh? Well I hate to backtrack, but I know the perfect group to help with that. There's a town back where I came from. I run my business, let's say, from there. But if we go there, it'll be in and out. No wasting time." No way am I putting those kids in danger for long.

"Best part is, we could traverse through the forest on our way there. Gonna say, I don't like underground. Not without some kind of mapping out, and more than one entryway to it. Otherwise, it's just a tomb. The forest might add a bit of travel time, but it'll be safer all the while." Alastor spread his arms wide. "Simple, right?"

Alastor then turned to the girl. "As for the shards, what she said." He indicated to Jules. "For example, the one I've got lets me control water. I can show you a trick or two on the way if you want."

"Oh and, because the first thing I saw was you climbing a tree, I'm going with Monkey." Alastor flashed a quick cheeky smile at the girl.
"I haven't used mine but I know its lightening... I think." She smiles.

"That sounds good to me." She agrees. Her ear twitches as if she heard something. Her her expression saddens for only a second before she plasters her smile back on. "Let's get moving shall we?"

Adriannu jumped the moment Lisa tried to take to the sky and felt her clawed hands grip the crow tightly as she brought it back to the ground. Back on the ground, she planned to properly pin the crow before trying to interrogate it when something unexpected happened. Suddenly the child found herself on top of a strange looking woman who reminded her of a Cathera was clearly wasn't actually one.

Quickly letting go, she promptly jumped away to get some distance as she tried to figure out how to handle this new situation. Taking a good look at the Chimera, Adriannu noticed that she looked a lot like this Lisa that Raven had described. This would be further reinforced by Raven running up and taking a mouthful of her dress while saying what sounded like stop. So at this, she removed the dagger from her mouth and asked the cat. "Is this Lisa?"

Assuming Raven confirmed her suspicion, she'd sheathe the dagger before looking down at the black cat and asking. "Why did you call her a creep then? Between that, her being able to talk and following us, I thought she was an enemy, maybe even a spy of Victi. It would make sense as people don't normally pay too much attention to wildlife on their travels and I don't know what methods she'd used to look for us."

Raven spits out her mouthful of cloth and takes a seat, a cool smirk hiding her relief. "You just said it; she was following us."

Lisa stands slowly, raising her hands defensively. Her bandaged one refusing to unfurl its fingers all the way, as that'd cause pain. Her eyes are wide. She seems rather startled but mostly impressed, as shown in the way her ears perk up and her lips curl into a small smile before she explains, "I was following Raven. Or specifically, looking for her." She gestures toward the cat, whose smirk turns into a sheepish grin. "She didn't tell me she felt like taking a walk." Her arms cross over her chest, and her tone becomes harsher as she grows more agitated. She briefly forgets about Adriannu and starts to verbally tear into her familiar. "You know that we're in danger, don’t you?”

"Well-"

"And now we know what kind of danger it is!"

"Exactly! You should be-!"

"What we don't know is how close this sorceress is to finding us." Lisa closes her eyes, folds her hands together in front of her face and sighs. Then she levels Raven with a stone-cold glare. "What you did was reckless, regardless of the results. You're lucky to have met this child and not-" She stops when a flash of light flares on the edge of her vision; she stands frozen in a brief spell of terror, and by the time she turns to look, Victi's heliolance had done its job, leaving behind a roaring inferno blazing like a second sunrise along the distant coastline.

"What the hell...!?"

Raven follows her gaze. "That's...not good."

"We need to get to the cabin, now!" Lisa scoops Raven up in her arms, then remembers Adriannu. She turns to the girl and kneels so she's eye-level. "Alright, you seem to be facing the same danger as we are. I can see you don't trust me- that's wise of you, distrusting a stranger -but I think it's in our best interests to stay together, so will you follow us?"

"The fox gal thing sounds evil to me."Liliath said "Yes the bunny is so pretty!"Liliath yelled excited well she grabbed the bunny plushie "Its so beautiful!" She hugged the plushie tightly "In the woods their is enough food, maybe my old treehouse is there and maybe we can stay there?" Liliath used to have a treehouse, but after some people noticed it was there she had ran away.

"Show me, i wanna see it!" But then Liliath realized it was better to find a shelter first "After we got a shelter you can show me." Liliath giggeld when he called her monkey "I like that." Liliath grabbed Jules hand "Let's go!"
Alastor Kain (played by frostwyrmm)

Alastor looked up at Neo and Jules. "Could be good for a rest stop. As long as it ain't found it'd give us a place to meet if we're split up as well. Lead the way, Monkey!"
Liliath started walking to the woods "It isn't to far away i hope." She calmly walked past the raccoons and other animals. She picked some flowers and then noticed her treehouse "There it is!" Liliath climbed in it and was happy that the old sleepingbag she used as a bed was still laying there "I hope everyone fits in." This wouldn't be possible there wa enough space for maybe 2 people maybe if they would do their best they all would fit in
