"Well, in any case, I can track her down and get her opinion on things. You know once we aren't being tracked ourselves." She chuckles. "One thing at a time. However, if you need any advice on your demon side, I know a lot." She smiles.
"Yeah, yeah that would be great. Now if you don't mind I'm going to relax in cooling mist for know.Tell me when we move."Neo then proceed to close his eyes and relax, for the first in months. He slowly went to sleep after that, with the mist still continuing to flow out of him.
"Oh... sure." She says as she gets up and flies up onto the Orc. She examines all the wounds and scrunched her brows. She sighs. "Well, I wonder what made you so grumpy." She mumbled to herself.
She placed her hand on its chest as her eyes glowed bluish white. She pulls her hand away with a gasp and looks around in panic before catching her breath. She sits and hugs her knees.
Well, this has been an interesting start I guess... Alastor took the shard from Jules, listening to what she had to say before responding. "All things with time. I wasn't a fan of that either. And the last thing I want is you leaving m-- ..us." Alastor looked down to the sleeping form of Liliath next to him. "The more she interacts with everyone, the more she'll figure out how this world works. I just hope we can help to steer her in the right direction."
"Sorry for not adding in to your conversation either Neo. Truth be told, I felt I had nothing useful to add. I ain't well versed in the arcane or the divine, I tend to learn on a case-by-case basis." Alastor glanced over to Neo. "...aaaand he's asleep too. Right then."
Alastor looked over to Jules after a moment. "Something wrong?"

She looked down at him. "Y-Yeah... this big guy... well something seriously happened to him before all this. Like physically. It left an aura that... I dont want to talk about." She digs her nails into her leg before releasing. "Sorry... just a flashback to a terrible time." She buries her head into her knee before looking off into the distance.
"You should probably rest too. I'll keep watch." She said without even looking back. She didnt want anyone to see her cry.

"Robots are powered technological automatons of various types. They are in many ways similar to the magical constructs, such as golems or self-moving book sorters created by the enchanters at the universities on this world," the magistrate explains, "A way of having tasks done for one's self without requiring slaves or hired help. Quite elegant, really. Such tasks include war, to clarify. Flying machines are frequently employed as the primary strike forces of our armies."
"The resilience of her defenses depends on numerous factors," he says with a sigh, closing his eyes and touching his forehead with an expression of near fatigue, "It is not simply a shield which will break and be gone, or through which holes may be struck, or an armour that can be dented and damaged and rendered useless. It is a field of energy into which more energy may continuously be poured, and hence it is not simply how many times it must be struck nor how forcefully, but how quickly the strikes follow, where they fall, and what form they take as well. And, well, I simply do not know how much punishment she can take. How she allocates her reserves of magic change it, she will usually retreat well before she is in true danger, which makes measuring the value based on her other magic usage difficult, the health of the world around her affects the rate at which she can gather energy, and her resilience is extremely high. The best I can say is that I would be very surprised indeed, in spite of her reputation, if she were to survive being on the recieving end of the collosal spell she cast earlier, were she forced to defend against it solely with her defenses. That said, I also cannot promise that she would not die by exhausting her body's mana reserves completely before the spell actually took her. Realistically she would re-direct it or move herself out of its way, but those assumptions are unhelpful."
"I would assume that, the vase being what it is, it could be forced apart once more. Also, I would be able to safely use far more of my resources to assist at that time should re-dividing the shards not be so simple," he reassures her, "I do not know exactly, again, we had limited time to research and prepare, but this artifact is by its nature broken. While it should work as expected once assembled, it may not 'enjoy' remaining in that unbroken state."
"Oh, and Miss Adeptus, it is worth stating that... how to say this? Neither our enemy nor myself know if there are any restrictions on where, when, how, or by whom the vase may be assembled, other than that all the shards are required, and even that is only logical supposition. Your search for information may still be a very wise initial course of action. If possible, to even put protections of some kind on the information such that she cannot gather it so easily, hmm? Another way of discouraging her, perhaps," the magistrate suggests, at this point knowing that Adriannu would be displeased and unimpressed to hear that part.
"Now, I should prepare for my departure, my shuttle ought to be coming shortly," he says briskly, rising politely and giving each of the three a polite bow.

When Neo woke up,the mist he generated stopped was gone.In front of him where two swords that were made his own energies. One looked like nothing but a normal short-sword,but his angelic side said that it will evolve over time the more he uses it.Yes,he talked to his angelic side.Don't question it.The another was a sword that was used by his great grandfather. The sword was made by his great father energy,so it could currently handle his.Currently.The sword, handle looked like carved wood, while the blade looked like polished sliver. He looked around for his previous sword, but it's gone.He looked down at the jacket he had on.He held it tightly,as this was his father jack.He sighed before grabbing his swords, and putting them on his back, his angelic energy making them float.

Fortunately Kylarion provided the final nail to the coffin to Lisa's plan before offering tepid support for Raven's. Adriannu however still wasn't convinced as she still had a very important question regarding this plan. "Magister, let's save that by some miracle, Raven's plan works and we beat Victi using it. Would I be able to recover my shard afterwards? It wouldn't do me any good to beat Victi only to starve to death afterwards because I lost my means of providing for myself during hard times. As mentioned before, I can't use the gold offered from the reward and your tech won't do me much good if I'm dead from starvation."
The witch and familiar can't help but wonder how Adriannu has become so dependant on her shard for survival. Several questions run through their minds, but most of all, the child's clear and present fear of starving and inability to imagine a world where she can survive without her shard's power elicits pity from the both of them.
Raven slinks toward her and presses her head against the child's shin with a comforting purr. "Hey," she whispers, "You know we can take care of you, right?"
Lisa sighs, wishing to likewise say something reassuring, but she can't come up with anything that'd clear the child's obvious trust issues. While Raven comforts the girl, she resolves to care for Adriannu any way she can, even after they're safe from the sorceress. Assuming we all survive the ordeal.

"Yes, thank you, Magistrate," Lisa dips her head in response. "Ah...sorry for the trouble earlier." She offers a sheepish smile and opens the door for him. His parting words recommending they collect information inspires in her some semblance of hope. If they can learn what Victi doesn't know and prevent her from learning it, they'll finally have a legitimate advantage. They'd have to hire an enchanter to protect the information provided they manage as much, but the gold he'd given them might prove useful after all.

"We're driving the Shriker as far as we can," Victi says as she gets into her spot and brings the vehicle's console to life, "I can overcharge the shields, it can help us fight, and we can use it as cover if things go wrong. Tell me what our approach is otherwise as we go."

"I'm completely behind any plan that involves shields." He raises his arm, his jacket sleeve morphing into armored plates that seem to grow directly out of his skin. "I'm personally going in as armored as I can possibly be." With a cocky grin to mask his nerves, he releases the spell so his arm returns to normal and wraps his arms around Victi's waist before they speed away toward the hills.
"Alright,I'm going to find the other shards.I'll let you guys recover."Neo got up and walked out the forest the same way he ran in.He should keep it a secret that he's part angel if he finds the other.However...the floating swords on his back will most likely give that away.Maybe I should...nah wasted to much power last time. Also he wasn't sure on how to control both his angelic and demonic powers. However this wasn't the case as his arm sensed three others, though he wasn't so sure what magical items that they had.He decide to hide behind a tree and watch them from a distance. However, due to lack of control over his powers, made his arm go through the tree, and made the tree fall down.Gods, strike me in my sleep...
Victi had to think for a moment before realizing the reason behind Drake's seeming confusion. Right, of course he doesn't know about deflectors, she thought to herself.
"Well, more like a deflection field," she calls back over the wind and engine, "It creates a bubble that keeps stuff from getting in. That's actually how this things stays off the ground, too. The downward shield is at a fixed distance from the bike, with a bit of softness to smooth the ride, and acts as a solid surface to keep the thing from falling. Broad enough to cruise ove water, too."
As predicted, it doesn't take long at all to make it to the start of the foothills. Victi slows the bike down to a more cautious speed, and drops her illusory disguise. Shortly after, something catches her eye, and she brings them to a stop.
"Drake," she asks calmly, "Is it just me, or do we have a welcoming committee waiting for us at the top of that rise? Five, maybe six rough lookin' guys with bows and spears?"

At the sound of the tree abruptly falling relatively near to the cabin, the magistrate snaps to a sharp focus, long ears perked and almost quivering in their attentiveness. A moment later, he snaps his fingers twice, and then holds still for several seconds before returning to his normal calm composure.
"My appologies, but I may have to delay a moment longer while my security detail ensures that my shuttle can approach safely," he says to his hosts, fingers making a few small gestures in the air, as if casting a spell. What he was actually doing was checking to make sure that Victi and Drake were, in fact, still nowhere near them.
No, they were.... wandering off in the middle of nowhere and preparing to confront bandits. Curious, but at this moment not problematic.
He would let his four cloaked guards/operatives check the area for him, with instructions to not engage if they found anything, but to let him know instead. In the worst case he would Gate to another location and have his shuttle rendez-vous with him there.

Lisa's non-reaction to the thud of a crashing tree might come as a surprise to the others. She simply freezes, her ears piqued like the Magistrate's, before recognizing the sound and relaxing. Compared to all she'd encountered in the past few hours, a newly fallen tree in the middle of the old wood is the least suspect.
As Kylarion explains he intends to wait until cleared by whatever qualifies as "security detail," she closes the door with a frown; she was really hoping he'd leave. Besides, seeing his concern reminds her that it's a clear night with hardly a breeze that'd knock over trees. Fear creeps back into her system, filling her with a powerful urge to run which she channels into a mad grab for her green shard and the bag she'd packed some minutes earlier. She tucks the shard into the bag then swings it over her shoulder.
Ready to flee, she watches out their sole back window.

I changed my mind. Gods, strike me down, NOW.
After that, Neo didn't move an inch. His powers are going to be the death of him one day.
Then he got covered in the same blur and got stabbed by the branch of a fallen tree.
"Yup, definitely going to be the death of me." Neo proceed to let his body go limp. He wasn't dying, just tired. I've been stabbed before. By swords to dragon talons. Lisa's vision, well-adapted for seeing into the darkness, easily picks out Neo's shape receding into the trees. A low, guttural growl escapes her throat. Another intruder.
Right before her eyes, a blue aura wraps around the mysterious figure and he goes flying. All Lisa can do is watch in horror as Neo crashes into several trees, tearing through several century-old trunks, before soaring madly toward the cabin.
Her bag hits the floor, the sound of something inside shattering to pieces being the least of her worries.
"GET DOWN!" She lunges in front of Raven and Adriannu, the color draining from her wide eyes. Her shrill shriek turns into a roar as her mouth elongates into a broad muzzle. The rest of her body grows and twists into a dark something unrecognizable as Lisa. As Neo's body punches through the wall, this new monster turns her back to the explosion of shrapnel, wrapping her arms around the child and shielding her and Raven as well as she can.
At first, Kylarion’s explanation of robots only served to further confuse Adriannu, but once he mentioned Golems, the child began to understand the concept. "Golems, I know what those are! I heard about them from a few of the fairy tales Mother..." She promptly trailed off after that as even after two years, the murder of her parents was still a raw wound on her heart.
Nonetheless she quickly rejoined the conversation once the magister started talking about how Victi's defense and she looked decidedly annoyed by this new information. "Well that's irritating, guess I'll just stick to trying to hit her with the flat of my blades then since you said her defenses would be unlikely to block that. Sounds like a better tactic then hoping I can exhaust her energy flow...though if I have a chance to push her off a cliff or something, I'll take it. Surely blocking the damage from that would quite draining. Anyway thank you for the information."
Then regarding Raven's plan of reassembling the vase, Adriannu wasn't convinced on it even after the magister offered tepid support of it as she still had an important question regarding it. That being if it were possible to recover her shard from the vase once assembled which she promptly asked Kylarion. Upon being told that it was possible to disassemble it and that he would even offer his assistance should it be needed, did serve to make her more accepting of the plan. "All right, I'll go along with it then, though I still have my doubts on how feasible it is."
It was here that Raven mentioned that she and Lisa could take her of her. It was an offer that actually made her frown and she was quick to explain why. "The last time someone was supposed to take care of me, they beat and starved me along with the other orphans. I gained weight after running away and using the shard's power to have some predators hunt for me. It was the first filling meal I had since..." Once again the child trailed off as she simply wasn't willing to talk about that subject.
Suddenly the sound of a tree falling to the ground nearby instantly put Adirannu on edge as she immediately went into a fighting stance, looking at the door, ready to defend herself. Here the Magister informed them that his security detail were checking to make sure his shuttle could approach safely.
This did nothing to soothe the Cathera's wariness which turned out to be justified as Neo crashes into the cabin, her cat like reflexes just barely enabling her to dive out of the way. As this happened Lisa shifted into a monster and quickly wrapped her arms around both Adriannu and Raven. Unfortunately this turned out to be insufficient to protect the child as as a big piece of wooden shrapnel from Neo's exit point flew out and hit her in the back of the head. At this the child let out a cry that was a mix between a scream and a whine while her head dropped limply forward; knocked out cold. Already the silvery hair at back of her head was starting to stain crimson with blood from the cut there.
(Ok first off, Adriannu will eventually talk about her history. Second is that Adriannu has a concussion, but will be ok. Also Lisa, Avitra and I have been talking oocly hence Lisa's temporarily retconned post as she posted before I was ready.)

Alastor stirred from his sleep. He hadn't realised how tired he was until he'd seen almost everyone drift off as well. He sat up and stretched, yawning contentedly. However, looking around the clearing, the absence of Neo concerned him. Alastor leaned over and gently shook Liliath's shoulder. "Wake up kiddo. I get the feeling we're going to have to get moving."
Alastor then looked over to Jules. Damn. Dozed off while she was talking before. Got to work on that."Hey, you all good? Where's Neo gone?"

Liliath woke up still a bit tired then she thought about something. If she would get her new shard, she could ran away with it and find someone to sell it to when everyone was asleep! "Can I have my shard now?"
The magistrate's reaction to Neo's impact was nearly immediate. Or, well, his suspended contingency spell was. Powerful barriers deployed around his body, and he guided the second half of it to reach out to his hosts....
Seconds later, he, Lisa, and Adriannu flashed out of sight, teleporting away.
The four stealth-operatives move up invisibly and silently, keeping watch over the wreckage of the small building.
Lisa and Adriannu end up in what looks like the main room of a modern penthouse appartment, lightly but tastefully decorated.

"He left... said he was searching for a shard. I was so zoned out I guess I couldnt move... I'm sorry." She sluggishly slides down the Orc and pats its arm. "I'm sorry that happened to you." She whispered to the Orc then spoke in Latin something that was a demon blessing.
"He shouldnt be hard to track." Her eyes returned to looking dead. No emotion can be read. "We can either go find him or get supplies." She asks
