Adriannu's ears pricked upon hearing the magister's voice and paid close attention to it. As he made his offers of things such as food, rest, a bath or other things, what the child was really interested in was the chance to further explore the ship and nearly asked for such while looking around excitedly, so very nearly bouncing up and down, being almost unable to contain herself. There was so much she wanted to see. First the cathera wanted to look out a window, then see how the ship was controlled and they had baths in here! Indoor baths were something only rich people had and they even had warm water! Then she wanted to look out some more windows and see even more of the ship followed by...However he then mentioned the fact that her new weapons has been recovered and that brought her mind away from her childish excitement and back to the surface. So now thinking of what had happened back in the cabin, her choice became clear.
So after calming herself down, and taking one last look at her surroundings, trying to commit it to memory, she said. "Kylarion, can we go back? I'm worried about Raven. Also thank you for getting my new weapons back for me." Then to Lisa, she quickly said. "My name is Adriannu, so don't call me a child anymore and I want to make sure Raven is ok." It was a decision that may come as a surprise to both the Magister and Lisa. She was sacrificing her chance on the ship which was something she had clearly shown great interest and enthusiasm for, all for Raven's sake.

She stares at her, floored. "Adri-Ah...you...want to-" her voice catches, her throat too tight to get the words out. The child, Adriannu, giving up her one chance to explore the Agate Breeze to help Raven, Lisa's closest friend. It was the one answer, the one motivation, she hadn't even thought was possible to hear from someone else. And while she obviously isn't doing it with Lisa's best interest at heart (why would she?) she can't help but feel moved by the selfless gesture.
She draws a breath and lowers herself to the child's eye level. Hopefully before Adriannu realizes she's crying, she throws her arms around her and pulls her close into a tight hug. Although strong, Lisa's grip is almost excessively gentle. She holds Adriannu gingerly like being too rough would cause the younger girl to break like an already splintering work of glass.
She holds on as long as the child allows her, then whispers a hushed "thank you" before backing to the opposite end of the cramped elevator. She nods her agreement with the girl's request and faces the near wall as she brushes the tears off her face.

"Done," Victi replies, opening the bag, "This one's the gold, the other is other coinage. Loot I picked up on our journey so far. For the enchanting, I'm also willing to explain the process and theory I'm using to modify the structures so that you can replicate it more readily. It may not be in a style you're super familiar with."
Aurora huffs; clearly, while the cuffs are in desperate need of patching, she's not in the mood to sit through a lecture on some alien system of magic. On the contrary, she wants Victi out of her camp as soon as possible. She turns her attention away from the clients and their gold to bark orders at her crew, demanding that those uninjured or only mildly so take the wounded to their medical tent.
Then, she approaches Drake. They meet eyes for a second, holding a brief glaring contest (Drake loses) and she undoes his cuffs by slicing them apart in one swift and deadly-accurate swing of her tail blade. In spite of himself, Drake yelps and jumps back, raising his hands- his nails shifting into claws and forearms sprouting armor -in self defense.
Feeling much better after that little show, the dragoness scoffs before turning her attention back to Victi. "I'll accept the patching after the job is finished. For now, hand over your gold and the relic."
"That's fine," Victi replies, passing over the objects, "Unless you'd like more info, we'll be leaving."
She really hoped it was the case at this point. Food and sleep were becoming better and better ideas with each passing moment.

She takes the gold in one claw and snatches the shard between the talons of the other. "Please, see yourself out. Before I change my mind."
Drake, rubbing his kind-of sore wrist laughs nervously. "Yeah, deal's sealed. Let's go." He turns to the Shriker.

Once the two are a good distance from the camp, Victi slows down and says, "Food, sleep. I kept some coin in my tails, hopefully enough for meals and a room. Back to that last town, or should there be somewhere closer?"
Drake, having been strangely quiet throughout the entire ride, squints his eyes and thinks. "Uh...there might be a village the way we're headed, but I can't remember if it has a tavern-and-inn." He laughs a bit ruefully, "Sorry, love; all I can think about right now is food n' sleep. Our best bet is to head back the way we came. I don't wanna get us lost."
She sets the Shriker to plot a course back to near that town, since they hadn't teleported and ruined its intenal map data since.
"Wake me up once you see lights," she mutters, and flomps her head on the console.

Alastor watches the exchange, impressed with the quality of the bag, given their location. Try as he might, he couldn't help but to crack a smile at seeing Raven so eager to try it on.
"Well that oughta help yer out. Expertly done, Julesy!"

"Very well then," the Kylarion's voice says.
The elevator goes down further, eventually leading to a half-transparent shaft that lets them see out over the hanger.
There are three large pads, two of which are occupied. The one to thei left has a sleek, sky-blue vessel on it, with a simple but elegant bullet-shaped hull. The middle has a more decorated vessel, silvery white with golden inlays, and shaped almost like a falcon in a steep dive, with sharp, swept-back wings and an elegant fuselage. The one to their right is empty, but one of the fox-like creatures, wearing an unusual looking suit of slim-fitting black armour. A circle appears on the elevator's wall, indicating them.
"Please go talk to that security officer. The covert shuttle will be returning shortly, and then you will be returned to the surface," their host's disembodied voice instructs.

Yo, guyssss, I'm looking for RP partners for some 1 x 1 / smol group survival horror plots. I don't mean to plug my own stuff- okay, I do, but Avi said I could -but is anyone interested in this?
She adjusts it to fit puuurfectly so it wont hurt. "There we are. It's made and fitted just for you." She smiles and her heart skips a little when Raven places it in her hand. No one really trusts her so it was a nice change. Her smile grows warmer with each second. "It would be an honor to place this in your catpack." She gently puts it in.
She looks at Alastor and bows. "What can I say? Go big or go home right?" She chuckles and lightly scratches under Ravens chin. "I hope you like it, and that it helps." She cant stop smiling.

"Uh...Okay."
Drake watches the woods brush by them through tired, baggy eyes. It's been a long day. He tries to recall everything that went down since...when? Yesterday morning? Just this morning? No, wait, now it's the morning. Maybe. Can't tell. Just tired. Regardless, he manages to piece together a fairly cohesive timeline of the events leading up to this moment.
The warning.
The fight.
The deal.
Another fight, ending in a fiery explosion. I wonder if those people got out alright... He stops there, and looks down and turns over his hand, the one Jules had hit. His tired brain shudders with anger, and memory of the pain. There are more than a few reasons he hopes she's alright, some more selfish than others.
Eh, demons are tough. Hell, probably fireproof.
Eventually they hit a break in the woods and cross into a long stretch of fields. Ahead lie the sparkling lights of the coastal town. He reaches around and snaps his fingers in front of Victi's snout. "Hey, wake up."

Raven leans into the gentle scratch, purring and smiling lazily. Closing her eyes, she finds she has difficulty opening them again, so she leaves them closed. And slowly, very slowly, she sinks onto the ground, exhausted.
"Hey," she says, her speech slurring with weariness, "You guysss...you are as tired as I am, right?"

She makes a weird little snort as she jerks awake, before focusing enough to drive to the nearest inn.
After tucking her ride in an alley nearby, she'll lead the way around to the entrance, hoping they'll still be let in at this time of night. All she wanted was a meal and a rest.

The door to the inn is unlocked. The bar, nearly empty and its few residents quiet. This isn't the same seedy tavern as the one Victi and Drake visited earlier. Most of its patrons are fairly honest men grabbing one last drink or, like them, simply looking for a hot meal and a warm bed before hitting the road again come morning.
The barkeep greets them at the counter with a tired smile. "Hallo, what can I do for ye?"
Drake's ears perk up at a friendly greeting. "Evening! You don't happen to serve food here, do you?"
The keep scratches his bearded chin before answering. "I could heat something up for ye two, provided you have coin." He squints a little, studying their slack faces. "Ye look weary, too. We have a two-bed room available upstairs if ye looking to spend the night. Again, provided ye have coin."

"A little but if you're tired I can carry you. You can take a little cat nap." She chuckles as she pets her softly.
She opens her eyes long enough to study the others, trying to read their intentions.
While she still can’t shake the feeling good ol’ Alastor’s got ulterior motives, she reads nothing but the best intentions in Jules. She responds to the demon’s offer with a smile and little nod.
”Sure.”
Granted, Raven’d say yes even if Jules was obviously hiding a dagger behind her back and grinning like an evil maniac. She’s just. So. Tired.

Adriannu looked rather confused by Lisa's reaction to her decision as the woman struggled to say her name. Lisa then lowered herself to be eye level with her and the child noticed that she was crying. However before she could say anything about it, the Cathera was suddenly embraced by the Chimera. For a moment, Adriannu was too stunned to react, but quickly recovered and started to struggle...but only briefly. For she was soon caught up in how nice it felt to be hugged after having gone so long without one. As such, she slowly lifted her arms and hugged Lisa back, just enjoying the soft affectionate touch of another person, even if she still wasn't completely sold on the Chimera just yet.
As they let go, she heard her whisper thank you to her which the girl nodded at before heading into the elevator after her. Once again, Adriannu was enthralled with the lift and especially the sight of the hanger below them. Her eyes were wonder with wonder and she even let out an astonished "Ooohhh" at the ships there. Upon reaching the bottom, she listened to Kylarion's voice instructing them to talk to the fox like security officer. So naturally she approached him and said. "Kylarion said we should talk to you about getting back to the surface!" This was said with all of the decorum typically possessed by a wild forest living child which was to say none at all.

The officer's is completely unreadable behind their shiny black visor, but they nod, reach into a pocket or compartment in their equipment, and present Adriannu with her recovered daggers.
Following that, they gesture for the two to follow them to a group of boxes, where the vulpine sits down, waiting.

"Two meals, warm, hopefully involving meat or fish, and the room," Victi says tiredly, pulling a (much smaller) bag of coin from one of her tails, "How much for that?"
After the payment is agreed upon and she's payed, which takes most of the contents of the bag, she mutters her sleepy, hungry thanks, slides the purse back into her fluff, and rests her head on the bar, staring blankly.
