My sister watches Gacha Life YouTubers, and she recently watched one which was well made and actually made logical sense. The story interested me, and with a few tweaks, I thought I'd figure out an idea for it. So... This is what I managed to come up with!
1967. A much more culturised version of earth, just without the technology of mobile phones and computers. However... The roles have been reversed in this universe. Much like our usual human races, there are many others within the same category. Lands of wolves, lands of nekos, vampires, etc. Y/C is one of these races. Due to a war, humans were driven almost to extinction and were forced to live in "packs" in caves.

In 1756, humans ruled the world. Everyone else was in hiding, until they decided to rebel. Joining whole forces and gathering millions of soldiers, these creatures were able to overthrow the humans, killing so many that they were almost driven to a horrible extinction. However, some were able to escape death's grip and were forced into hiding, now living in caves in packs. After hundreds of years, while they're population has increased, it hasn't become much bigger. They don't have the courage to build up a rebel, so they don't. My character is a child of these humans.

Y/C is an alpha of one of these species (wolves, vampires, etc) and blames himself for the horrible occurance even though he did not live to experience the horrors. He takes it upon himself to gather up a few of his troops and infiltrate the nearby human pack. There he finds [/b] my character, who is a child (3 - 6).[/b] He takes her with him (with a decent amount of resistance from her and her brothers.
And from there, it's up to Y/C to get her trust him.
