"Ryan, stop being rude." Scarlet said calmly before turning back to Datin. "How old are you?" she asked politely, gesturing over the man with the food so she could eat something too.

"Thirteen I believe." The boy said a bite into the meat."I haven't been keeping track of time much."

"Good age." Scarlett commented taking a bite of her meat. She swallowed and turned to Ryan. "Go prepare a room for this boy please." she said winking at Ryan, that was their signal for "Tell ya later". Turning back to the boy and finishing her meat, she licked her fingers and spoke. "What exactly is your name?" she said taking a moist towel from the servant and handing it to Datin.
((She didn't actually say "Tell ya later"))

Datin looked up at the girl and swallowed the bit of meat he hade taken. "Datin, Datin Lost. May I ask you a question Ms. Scarlett?"

"Go ahead Datin." Scarlett said focusing her attention on him.

"What exactly is the use of this place. I see a lot of kids wandering around. Is it a camp or orphanage perhaps?" Datin said slightly tilting his head in confusion.

"You could say its both, or you could say its a military camp." Scarlett said getting up. "Would you like to meet your roommate?" She asked helping Datin up.

"Roommate?" Datin said a little bit apprehensive and also a bit confused on why the girl had so quickly changed the subject.

Scarlett smiled and motioned for Datin to follow her. She headed towards some buildings higher up in the tree and kept walking through vines. Finally they came to a room high up from the ground, it had a sign on the door. "Keep out. Honestly, you would think that is is more social." Scarlett mumbled openeing the door and stepping insdie. "This is your new home Datin." she said moving out of the way.

Datin cautiously opened the door peering inside.

The room was a kids dream house. There was an snowcone maker against the side wall and a flatscreen tv in front of two water chairs. There were two desks against the far wall with beds above them with laders leading up to the beds. In the middle of the room there was a trampoline with no side netting and a cubby area to hold shoes. Against the right wall were two closets and a suitcase. "Do you like it? Your roommate insisted that we make it this way." Scarlett said smiling and letting Datin take in the room.

alucard sat on his bed, staring up at the ceiling as usual, when scarlett and the new kid walked in. he saw the new kid look around the room as scarlett told what everything in the room was. "this the new kid?" he asked as he sat up.

"Yes this is Datin. Dantin, this is your roommate Alucard." Scarlett said nudging Datin in the room further.

Alucard got off of the bed and went to shake the kids hand. "Hey, i'm alucard. nice to meet you.".

Datin cautiously took the boys hand. "Datin is my name, Datin Lost. " Datin replied in a voice barely above a whisper, his eyes not once meeting the other boys. Datin was about to actually look at the boy when he smelled something. Could it? Of course not, but the smell was almost exactly like the smell of vampire blood.

alucard looked at datin, a somewhat confused look on his face. he seemed confused about something around him but alucard wasn't sure what, but he also seemed as if he doubted as well. "i'll give you a tip for the future, datin. when you sense something or get a hint of anything suspicious from your regular senses, believe it. trust me, it'll come in handy one of these days." alucard let go of datin's hand and looked around the room himself. "i know its not much, but i thought the room needed a few things when i got here too. so feel free to add anything you want to the decorations, right scarlett?".

"Yes, just contact me if you are having any trouble or need anything." Scarlett said smelling the fresh vampire blood. "Why don't you boys get yourself situated until the dinner bell." Scarlett said hurrying out of the room towards the source of the smell.

Datin gave a small chuckle at the boys words. "I think a few things is an understatement. How'd you get them to give you all this stuff?" Datin said placing his small tattered bag on the other bed.

alucard shrugged and smiled. "i just got lucky i guess". he said, sitting back down on back down on his bed. alucard looked at datin as a question formed in his brain. "so, i forget. if you don't mind me asking, how do halfling vampires come to into being? i don't hate them i'm just unfamiliar with them.".

Scarlett hurried to the secret entrance to find that a young vampire was slouched on the ground with n arrow through her neck. "Shh little one." she said soothingly as the girl started to scream. "It will be over soon, just tell me who did this." Scarlett added putting the girls head on her lap, staining her jeans red. "T-the hu-hu-hun-hunter." the girl muttered, eyes closing and blood bubbling out of her mouth. Scarlett closed the girls eyes and picked her up in her arms, heading back to camp as the dinner bell rung.
