Charlotte quickly sat up from her bed, holding her blankets to her chest and looking at the Captain with a fearful face. She didn't have the guts to even kill an insect so how was she supposed to do all that?
Her worries soon turn into relief when she took a moment to realize that he was just joking. "That is not funny, Captain" Charlotte puffed her cheeks while aggressively slamming her hands onto her lap. Well, at least the recovery process wasn't all that complicated even for demons.
She rejected his offer to make a contract and decided she would just recover naturally. When the Captain mentioned about the promise the other night Charlotte looked up to the ceiling trying to remember.
She snapped her fingers and turned to the Captain, "you said to never change in this world or something along those lines, yes?" She grinned.

He just smiled at her words, and reached out and tried to poke one of her cheeks. "I thought it was!" He chuckled. He didn't mind her rejecting his offer. He didn't expect her too accept but he still would offer her anyway. He smiled at her when she remembered. "Yeah that's right! I hope you remember that, I am going to hold you to it!" His tanned skin would flush ever so slightly before he would cough into his hand.
"You have a special gift, and no I don't mean your singing or dancing, and I would hate to see someone take that from you, or the world." He took a look off to the front of the ship. "You brought everyone here together. Its amazing what you can do in a small amount of time. It will be a shame when our journey together is done." There would be a slight quiver at the end of his sentence. But he would regain composure and face her again. "But today you are here, and today you are resting! Let me serve you today." He would give her a low bow with one arm across his chest.
"What can I get for you, my lady?" He smiled to her and awaited her instructions.

Charlotte thought she would despise the whole three months but she believed fate had another idea. She was really going to miss the Captain, he was a great leader and a dear friend. As much as she wished she could stay forever, Charlotte still had her own journey to complete.
Besides, they were apart of two different worlds, the Captain's time was limitless while Charlotte's was completely limited. There was still so much to do so many places she has yet to see.
Charlotte was saddened at the thought of leaving, but in the end, such musings were ultimately pointless. They should be enjoying the time they have now instead of worrying so much about the future.
Charlotte turned to the captain and smiled, "Captain you are too sweet!" She giggled.
Charlotte tapped her chin while crossing her arms as she began to think. "Hhmmm...yeah I got nothin', " Charlotte shrugged her shoulders in defeat she found this change of position pretty awkward. It was always the Captain giving the orders, not her.

Dealt was very fond of his little cabin servant. He flushed slightly as she giggled. "Not as sweet as you Charlotte." He smiled at her at took his seat beside her bed once more. "Well if you can't think of anything how about I read you some stories? Or perhaps if you are feeling well enough I could escort you to see how Yuna is doing?" He would hand her another cup of water.
Dealt felt he was getting too close. Using his powers he changed the course of the wind to give the ship stronger speeds as it cut through the ocean tides. It would hurt, but the sooner she left the faster the hurt would heal. No one would really have any clue, the crew would have a hunch, maybe the mages could tell, but Yuna probably was too ill to take note. "Actually I think that is a good idea, the sea air might help you." He would offer his hand to lead her out and escort her below deck.

Charlotte bursted out in laughter when he suggested reading her a bedtime story. "Will you tuck me in afterward and kiss my forehead too?" Charlotte playfully closed her eyes and puckered her lips. She took it a little further by making noises with her lips to imitate kissing.
Charlotte was not realizing how childish she looked, but the thought was just so funny she couldn't help herself.
After her little display, she slowly got up from her bed, grabbing the Captain's hand to pull herself forward. By now Charlotte was feeling much better, but she still felt a light-headed. She stumbled a bit when she stood up by luckily she was able to catch herself from falling.
Charlotte clapped her hands together, "shall we be going then?" She jerked her head towards the door.

Dealt chuckled. "Only if you want me to!" He smiled at her hoping she realized he would do it to. "You seem to be in much better spirits now at least! I am glad!" He helped her up and took her to the deck. Walking past the crew they cheered and praised Charlotte for her bravery in taking the challenge. Some would pat her shoulder or back. One tried to slap her add, but Dealt saw it coming and stopped him with a stern look.
He helped her get adjusted to the light and took her to her troupe. Cicero wasn't doing much better than Yuna, but she had been getting the elven water at least. "Looks like you hit the sauce pretty hard too Cicero. I thought I told you to cut back so Yuna could be looked after!" He mumbled something and gave a thumbs up while he laid in the makeshift bed. Dealt just stared ahead. "I don't believe you." He said flatly.

When Charlotte walked outside it was like she was being treated like a celebrity, crewmen were talking all about the contest from last night. They didn't think someone with her tiny body could withstand the challenge.
Charlotte was not used to such treatment and so it definitely made her nervous, she gave them all her thanks and encouraged them to get back to work. She didn't want them to invoke the wrath of Captain Dealt for slacking off.
Once the two arrived at the bunker where the rest of her companions were cleaning up the place they all gave their usual how-do-you-do's. Charlotte asked where Yuna was resting and one of the members directed her to the bunk beds at the back of the room.
Once inside Charlotte witnessed Yuna hacking up a storm, "still sick..?" Charlotte asked worriedly.
"How can you tell? I've been hacking up my guts ever since this morning!" Yuna paused for a moment, her cheeks puffed and her face turned pale. She grabbed the bucket beside her and threw up whatever was in her mouth.
"Did you have any water...?" Charlotte walked over, pulling Yuna's hair behind her so it wouldn't get in the way.
"Water?" Yuna looked up at her friend after she was done puking.
"Yes, the Captain said you need to drink lots of water," Charlotte explained.
"All need is water, seriously? No one gave me water, not even Cicero who said he would be taking care of me!" Yuna shouted in frustration, but it wasn't long until she was throwing up all over again.

Dealt followed in behind her and stifled a laugh when he saw Yuna vomiting. "Looks like Charlotte can handle her Hellvine, better than you can!" He would laugh a bit. But when he head no one brought her water he was pretty pissed. He rubbed his temples. "I told Cicero to cut it out last night when you passed out, but clearly he drinks better than he listens."
"I am gonna kill someone.. Knew I should have done it myself." With a snap his magic pitcher appeared and a goblet. "Sorry Yuna, this water is special and I can only someone, or someones, decided they would take your water." He filled it and passed it to her. Then a sinister idea came to mind.
"Well another reason Charlotte could handle it better is well... because of the thing." He would smile devilishly refilling Yuna's cup and as he gave it to her he whispered so only she could hear. "I turned her into a demon like me." He barely could keep himself contained, but he managed it barely.

Yuna was already in a bad mood since she had been sick for the entire morning so the Captain's insults were totally unappreciated. Her face slowly reddened and she was clenching her bucket tightly. Yuna wanted to throw her vomit bucket at the Captain but Charlotte marched up the prankster with a stern look on her face.
"Yuna is sick, we came here to check up on her not mess with her." Charlotte wagged her finger in a scolding manner. "We need to get her back on her feet so she can start working," Charlotte said boldly.
Yuna was too sick to get out of bed so Charlotte grabbed the goblet of water for her instead. Yuna sat up on the mattress so she could place her bucket under the bed, she took the water Charlotte offered her and began to drink it slowly.
There was a moment of peace and quiet until the Captain thought it would be the perfect moment to play one of his pranks. Out of surprise and shock of Charlotte possibly being a demon, Yuna spat out her water.
"Impossible! Don't even joke...like....that...oh" Yuna realized she had spit water all over the place which made her groan because that meant she had to clean it up. Great, but then she noticed Charlotte was crouched next to her, right in the same direction where she spat her water.
"I am so sorry Charlotte!" Yuna dropped her goblet so she could wipe Charlotte's wet face but she just ended up making more of a mess. The rest of the water splashed all over her bed sheets and onto Charlotte's clothes.
"Aww...damn!" This was the was starting to be a bad day for both of them.
Charlotte slowly stood up from her where she was crouching, her face was wet, sticky and gross. Yuna continued to apologize but Charlotte was dead silent the entire time.
"Uh...Charlotte? I'm really really really sorry!" Yuna apologized one last time, but Charlotte was still quiet.
"Yuna." Charlotte murmured.
"Yes?" Yuna tilted her head.
"Please, get that goblet away from me before I crush it..." Charlotte lifted her head to reveal an unsettling crooked smile that caused Yuna to flinch. Charlotte then shifted to the Captain who started the whole accident in the first place.
"So you think it's still fun to play childish pranks, hm?" She slowly stepped forward, "perhaps, I should get the ax so I can punish you for your mischief" her slow footsteps gradually got faster until she broke into a full-blown sprint.
Hell hath no fury for what Charlotte was going to do to the Captain, but he better start running or defend himself.

Dealt laughed. "Oh I can't help but jab at Yuna when she is like this! But that is a good point, but also why she was supposed to be drinking the elven water that someone stole." He yelled at no one in particular. Dealt put his hands up defensively "I can't help but tease her! She put her feet on my desk so it's really the only thing thats fair!"
When Yuna spat out the water Dealt laughed loudly that was the reaction he was hoping for, didn't expect it to hit Charlotte too so he laughed a bit more. But when he saw that grin he knew he was going to be in trouble. Dealt gave a little chuckle. "I mean without my pranks what would I do?" He noticed her getting close and pointed at her clothes. "Hey Charlotte just so you know your clothes are we and are leaving even less to the imagination"
He hoped that would get her to stop if not he would break into a full sprint up out the door and up the to the deck.

Charlotte wasn't going to let this one go and once the Captain began to run she chased after him. As much as Yuna wanted to chase after him too, but she had a huge mess to clean up. She would just have to hope and pray Charlotte grabs him and gives what is coming to him.
Charlotte and the Captain were running on the deck like a fox chasing a rabbit through the forest. The crewmen all took a moment to stop and stare at what the hell was going on.
"Stop running you, little cretin!" Charlotte screamed so loud even the crew below the deck could hear.
The men all looked at each other in confusion, they weren't sure if they should help their Captain or stay out of it altogether. No one has ever seen Charlotte show anger at least not like that before. It was hilarious but also somewhat terrifying at the same time.
In the end, the crew decided to separate the two before they end up destroying the entire ship. Charlotte was full of adrenaline which allowed her to keep up with the Captain, but her inner rage is what made her faster. Once she was close enough she pounced on the Captain from behind like a cat. She was finally on top of him and she quickly used her legs to lock him in place so he couldn't move.
She started vigorously swatting him on the head, not hard enough that it actually hurt, but more like a light tap you give to a child. One crew member rushed over to grab Charlotte, but even he had a hard time getting her off. Charlotte was clinging to the Captain tightly and she was determined to let him get every bit of her fury.
Eventually, the crewman was able to loosen her grip so the Captain had time to run into his office or do whatever he thought was safest. Charlotte was flinging her arms and legs into the air like a child having a tantrum.
"You immature demon...you no good prankster...you are such a JERK!" Charlotte threw as many colorful insults at the Captain as she could.
"Man, if you have this much energy Bubble's you should think of joining the military!" One crew member cried.
"Aye morons! Stop standing around like village idiots and see if the Captain is alright!" The crewman holding Charlotte yelled to the other men for help, he was busy trying to endure Charlotte's kicking and hitting. The poor guy was getting hit in all sorts of places that would make a grown man cry out in pain. How can a little girl hit so hard?
Two more men walked over to help the Captain off the ground and to see if he was alright. Charlotte luckily didn't leave any bruises so at least she wasn't trying to hurt him that badly.
"What do we do boss? There should be a punishment for attacking the Captain the way she did." One crew member suggested.
'Punishment?' Charlotte stopped her hissy fit once she heard that word, oh gods, what had she done? Her eyes widened when she realized that she just attacked the Captain in front of the entire crew, she was so dead!

Dealt ran, but not as fast as he could, he was gonna wish he did. He laughed the whole while being chased until she caught up to him. As she started to hit him he would put his arms up to block her strikes, he could tell they were just playing but she did it in front of the crew. And unfortunately they were protective of their captain.
Dealt stood up to his full height and motioned to the crew it was alright. He gave her an unfortunate look. They were right. She needed to be punished. He would sigh defeated before steeling his glare onto her. He didn't have much time to think. What could he do? He couldn't harm her. He needed something that would impact her though. Or at least let him make the crew believe he had things under control.
He walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder and pulled her around to his side and laughed. "It all right men! I only suggested that Yuna join us tonight and she didn't take it too well!" He said loudly so all could hear him. "I will give her what she deserves later on!" Giving her a slight pat on her rear. He leaned in and whispered. "Follow now." He guided her to his cabin and closed the door. His crew went back to work seemingly believing the story he spun for them. But they would eye Charlotte a bit differently from then on.
"I obviously don't have to tell you that you can't do that again?" He was worried for her. "I know you weren't attacking me, and frankly if I wasn't under contract they would have hurt you." He paused for a second. "Sorry for patting your ass, I had to sell it to them."

It was as if her face turned white as a ghost when the Captain threw a menacing glare in her direction. This was the first time he has ever done that so Charlotte assumed she would be in deep trouble. Honestly, what was she thinking of chasing him around the way she did? She was being as childish as the Captain at that moment.
When the Captain yanked her to his side she lowered her head and kept quiet so he could do the talking. What terrible things awaited her when they went back to the cabin? Was he going to hurt her, make her remove barnacles off the side of the ship or worse, drop their contract?
Charlotte flinched when he tapped her on the rear and immediately followed him as she was told to do. Once inside the cabin, Charlotte closed the door behind them and dropped to her knees in front of the Captain.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm SO sorry!" She apologized over and over again in the hope that she would be forgiven. Charlotte looked up at the Captain, her knees still on the floor. Her hands were clasped together on her chest, her eyes watered and her lips were quivering.
"Is it over? Is the contract broken because of my actions?" She asked pleadingly.

Dealt placed his hand on her head and smiled down at her. "No its fine, the contract is intact. There was no clause against harming me because well frankly, didn't think any of you would try." He gave a little laugh and offered her a hand up. "Come on up, unless you want to stay down there!"
Summoning the water again he poured her another cup of water. "You still need some more water." He let out a big sigh. "So look for obvious reasons, you are going to have to sleep here tonight. I told my crew something and they will notice." He motioned to his bed. "You will sleep there and I will spend the night reading or something. I am sure there is some work I can catch up on somewhere.." He trailed off as he thought to himself. He had to do some book keeping but that wouldn't take long.
He would just look at her. "Please don't do that again in view of others. I know you weren't trying to hurt me. But they won't believe that a second time. There are limits. I cannot let them harm you, but I also don't want to run this ship alone either." His look would soften though. "Sorry for teasing Yuna so much however. I thought it would be fun. And I was right!" He started to laugh, he enjoyed the tricks he played, and it wasn't going to stop, but he needed to watch how far he pushed her now.

Charlotte wiped her eyes as she exhaled, "oh, thank goodness." It was a relief that the contract was still intact. If everyone got screwed over because she tried to beat up the Captain then they were in huge trouble. Charlotte stood herself up and wiped the remaining tears from her face.
Charlotte nodded her head in understanding ss the Captain explained the danger she could have put herself in with her little stunt. Even though his men were afraid of him they were willing to protect him at the same time. It probably wasn't because they actually cared for him as a friend, but to protect their own interests. If the Captain were to cease to be the crew would be without purpose.
Captain Dealt was the Demon of Deals after all so of course, he is very valuable.
Charlotte turned to the direction of where the Captain was pointing, why did she have to sleep there? Charlotte placed her hands to her mouth as her face began to heat up, they weren't going to do THAT were they!?
No, sir not me! I refuse! Charlotte thought, but then the Captain mentioned he would be doing bookkeeping while she slept and she immediately let out a sigh of relief. "Understood", Charlotte nodded her head.
"I will behave myself from now on, but Captain..." Charlotte marched up to the Captain with a deadpan look on her face. She paused for a moment and begun leaning her face very close to his own.
She slightly tilted her head and closed her eyes as if she was leaning in for a kiss. If the Captain was thinking he was going to get a kiss after everything he did he was sorely mistaken. Charlotte pinched the Captain's ear as hard as she could it was the perfect opportunity to get back at him for his prank.
They were finally alone after all so there was no one to hold her back.
Charlotte's eyes popped open as she gave the Captain a menacing glare, "you need to behave yourself too!" Charlotte threw one arm on her hip and with the other arm wagged her finger at him like she was scolding a child. With an attitude-filled huff, she turned on one heel and marched out of the room. Charlotte was going to apologize to the crew for attacking their Captain.

Dealt took special note of her embarrassment when he gestured to the bed. She went a lovely shade of red he couldn't help but laugh at. "Guessing from your reaction, I could only assume you are a virgin and well, that would be hurting you for us to lay together." He gave her a little smirk and would pat her head. "So don't get any ideas."
He just looked at her while she marched up, and leaned into it closing his eyes. 'Why not?' He thought to himself until he felt the stinging pain in his ear followed by the chastising tone. He was sorely displeased but he understood. "That is something I will never agree to I am afraid!" He said through the pain, it defiantly wasn't the worst pain he ever felt, but it definitely wasn't fun either.
Once she let go he just gave her a glare of his own. "It's in my nature! I will tease whoever I like I will have you know!" He wasn't really mad, he was only going along with it. But he would toy with whomever he saw fit, it was his ship after all. As she began to storm off he called out. "Be back by nightfall!" He knew the crew wouldn't harm her, they were under contract still. But they would be cold to her. They knew their loyalties whether by fear or value, they sided with him always. Not that they had a choice half the time.
Dealt remained in his cabin reading and going over his books. Spending time reminiscing between the logs and inventory. Just waiting for Charlotte to return. He did spend some time making the bed for her however. He was accustomed to the finer things as a lord, so his bed was far better than any commoner would be used to, not that he made it all the time.

Charlotte acknowledged in her head the Captain's order to be back by nightfall even if she didn't respond. For the rest of the day, she would spend her time trying to gain the trust of the crewmen back. She helped them with their work the best she could but her body wasn't built for the kind work they were accustomed to.
She would return to the cabin with an exhausted look on her face, does the Captain really make them do THIS every day? she thought to herself. Charlotte would gently close the door behind her and then glance to the desk where the Captain was continuing his reading.
"I am going to bed, Captain" she called from the door and dragged her feet to her bed before stopping at the doorway. She quickly reminded herself that she had to sleep in the Captain's bed tonight as punishment from earlier. Charlotte dragged her feet to the neatly made bed and plopped her body face first. Half of her body was hanging out from the bed but she didn't care. She quickly went into a deep sleep, lightly snoring as she buried her face into the soft mattress.
The next morning, Charlotte was sore from all that extra work she did from yesterday as her apology to the crew. She decided to fight through it and make the Captain's bed so it was the same way she found it.
"Ow..." Charlotte was spreading out the sheets until she felt a sharp pain in her shoulder, she took a moment to rub it before finishing the job. After that was done, she started doing her stretching techniques to loosen up her muscles. She didn't want to cramp up on the job after all.

Dealt barely had an opportunity to respond to Charlotte as she entered. He could tell how exhausted she was. "Alright sleep well Charlotte." He didn't bother getting up because he was pretty sure she was already asleep before she hit the bed. His thoughts were confirmed by the slight snoring he heard from her and he gave a small chuckle.
Dealt caught a quick nap during the night in his chair, he had finished all his work and didnt have anything new to read since he hadn't made port in some time. He woke up just as Chsrlotte had finished making his bed. "Ah, you didn't need to do that!" She was already working on her stretches by that time. Listening to her groans of pain he felt bad, slightly. She seemed to have paid her dues and the crew would likely be a bit warmer to her.
"Are you going to be ok Charlotte?" He asked concerned. He didnt want her to over work herself.

Charlotte stood up from where she was stretching and gave a welcoming smile to the Captain.
"Good morning, Captain!" She turned her gaze to the neatly made bed, "oh, that, well, I wanted to be in the same condition I found it." Charlotte believed it was the right thing to do since it was her fault for making his bed.
Charlotte took a few steps forward and almost immediately, she could feel her shoulders pop from all the stretching. She winced in pain but quickly threw on a smile so the Captain wouldn't worry.
"Do not fret, I will be fine!" Charlotte said confidently.

"Good morning Charlotte" Dealt stammered out. "Seriously its fine! I only made it up for you so then you would be more comfortable! It is not really important."
Dealt gave her a concerned look when he saw her shoulders pop from her stretching, her smile didn't settle him at all. "Are you sure you will be alright?" He was a bit worried for her he didn't think it looked very comfortable. "Maybe you should take it easy today, try not to overwork yourself." He gave a cautious smile. "Besides, we aren't far off anyway. I have been pushing the ship, I estimate one to three weeks travel left. Then you will be off on your way..." His voice trailed slightly, he had enjoyed her company greatly over the time, but it was coming to a close soon.
