Arik ducked and laughed, then got back up. He nodded as she spoke, and the Helicopter flew over head, dropping a Medic onto the ground, and three guards. Arik gave her a bit of Morphine, for the sprained arm, and put his guns on his back.
"You only got a wound, and a bleed. Luckily, you are fine now," Arik said, comforting her. He patted her on her back, and helped her up. "Yes... we ARE only allowed to use guns and the environment... but that tranquilizer? That is a very sneaky thing. Someone wanted to interrogate you,"

"But why?" Liz said getting into a sitting position and leaning against the tree she fell from as the medics tended to her shoulder and her wounds from falling.
"What is your rank, and what are you in charge of?" Arik asked, rolling his eyes. It was very simple, really. He just wanted her to realize it.
"I know. I'm the captain and I'm in charge of my squad, But why would they wan't to take me if my experienced squad had my back the entire time and my COM is working and on?
"That's the thing. They don't, and they were going to tranquilize you. Then drag you away, and get some information out of you, then leave you be. Simple as that," Arik said looking around for the squad. He saw them labeled as {Dead}. "Aaaaand your squad is gone... And most of our group..."
"And some of theirs." Liz said doubtfully. "Isn't this supposed to go on all week? How did they take us out so fast?" She mumbled heading stealthy back up the hill. "Let's get back to camp." she said masking her tracks with every step.
((Do something like the hunger games at night to show how many people dead. Like project a leader board in the air or something.))

((I got tired of that movie, with all the references to it, but sure!))
Arik nodded, and explained how they could, then proceeded to the HQ. They were loosing, and night was falling. The snow began covering the ground again, and they were becoming dangerous. In the sky, via Zeppelin, the leader boards flashed across, showing who died, who had the biggest score, etc. Arik was a big target, now.
"So we're the last of our squad." Liz said catching up with Arik going up the hill. Her arm still hurt but was feeling better now, same with her leg. They reached the camp as the zeppelin was moving back towards the other end of the mountains.
"Last of our squad? More like last of most of our COMPANY," Arik said, kicking the ground in front of him as he walked. He had his backpack on, and brushed the snow off of it as he walked. Occasionally, he would take a sip of his water, and continue walking. He got out his pack of cigarettes, lit one, and began smoking as he walked. He offered one to her, as well as a blanket. "Want a blanket? You look cold..."
He continued walking as if there was no trouble in the world.
"Have gun will travel reads the card of a maannn..... A knight without armor in a savage laannndd.... His gun for hire reads the calling wiinnddd.....A man of fortune, He's a man caaallled Paaaaallllaadin..." He hummed, or sang to himself.

Liz accepted the blanket but refused the cigarette. "What song are you humming?" She asked gettin bored of walking.
"Suit yourself," And he kept on smoking and humming. "Ballad of Paladin, its called.
Paladin Paladin where do you roam Paladin Paladin far far from home....He travels on to wherever he must....A chess knight of silver is his badge of trust...There are campfire legends that the plainsmen sing....Of a man with the gun of the man called Paladin....Paladin Paladin where do you roam Paladin Paladin far far from home"
Arik looked up, his cigarette hanging from his mouth as he stared at the former HQ, which was now abandoned and empty. Nothing remained of it, and all the men had left, died, or were captured. He was a little shocked about it, but more surprised that they were trying that.

"What happened? We had most of the better soldiers." Liz whispered in shock at the destroyed HQ. It barely looked as if there was a fight, just a couple torn tents here and there and belongings littered the ground in spots. "I can't believe it." she said moving over to an abandoned backpack and dumping out the contents. She put the stuff they needed back in it and went silently around the camp getting more supplies.

"Surprise attacks will ruin anyone's day, Liz. They attacked with Artillery, then wiped them out with infantry," Arik explained, looking at the tracks. It seemed that some were still alive, but not anywhere near. He bent down, staring at the nearest set of tracks in the ground. They were deep, and showed signs of a strong person with a heavy gun. "Juggernaughts. They used the stronger students to attack with 50s, and assaulted with heavy armor..."
"We were allowed to use vehicles and darts?" Liz said clearly confused at the situation. "I thought we were only allowed the equipment provided at the briefing. She finished packing the bag and slung it over her shoulder, handing Arik the other bag she managed to pack aswell. The snow was falling more freely now and it would soon cover the tracks made. "Do we go find them or leave them?" she asked looking to her second in command now that she didn't know where Kuro was.

Arik caught the bag without looking at it, and let it hang by the strap. He stared, and continued wondering what would give them that wonderful idea. He guessed they welded the metal together, and then wore it.
"These are copper BBs, Liz. I provided them. But this was ingenious. They welded metal to the armor to make this," Arik said, following the tracks. "Of course we find them! Why would we not take revenge?"
Liz smiled and nodded, following Arik to the tracks. "Do you think we could find them before nightfall?" Liz asked looking up at the bright evening sky. She still couldn't believe that they might be the last ones from their side in the game.
"Perhaps. I'm not entirely sure. Perhaps we will, or not." He said, knowing full well that he would probably loose this. But he and Elizabeth would fight until oth of them died, or were captured, but never surrender.
