Damian sat on the orphanages busted swings watching the other children have fun and play. “Hey freak!” Adam yelled. Adam went out of his way to make Damian’s life miserable, and did anything to get him in trouble. “Why are you such a freak Damian?” he taunted sticking his tongue out at Damian. Damian got off the swing and approached the bully with his fist cocked, and ready to punch the kid’s lights out when the Matron came out. “What the hell do you think you are doing Damian?” she yelled across the yard as Adam whimpered. The Matron came charging across the yard and took Damian by the elbow and dragged him to her office
The Matrons office was scarier than a haunted house. There were jars of murky substances around the room and a deer head hanging above her chair. “Sit, Now.” She ordered taking her chair as Damian hurriedly took the chair across from her. “You are lucky enough to be here considering your predicament.” The Matron said disapprovingly as she took a file out of the desk and leafed through it. “You have someone wanting to adopt you, so I need you to be on your best behavior.” She growled as there was a knock on the door.

Lumiera let out a sigh as she was dressed in a some what reasonable attire. Well reasonable meaning a torn black cloak opened a tank top and a pair of shorts. She this time was careful enough to conceal her horns. What really intrigues her is how the demon prince ended up in this human realm. She let out a sigh as she struggled to keep her normally red eyes hidden. This much was a challenge for her even with her dimensional magic. She finally arrived at the decripte orphanage, she let out a sigh wondering why humans would let children live in such a horrid place. Then again she grew up in quite the horrid place as well. She walked through the doors of the orphanage and knocked at the Matrons door, waiting to veiw this demon prince.

The Matron opened the door and peaked her head through the gap. "May I ask who you are?" she said curiously. She honestly hoped it was the poor lass who was adopting the trouble maker. Damian sat silent in his seat looking at the ceiling in a vague attempt to keep himself occupied.

Lumiera gave the woman a sneer look and then looked at then nodded as she rubbed the kids hair."yeah im here to adopt this kid. But I assure you despite my looks i am trust worthy." she said again giving the woman wonderful choice of words. Whether he did it the human way, or her way, she was not going to leave with the demon prince. She smile and gave the kid a resuring gaze, she wanted to help take care of this lovely prince.

Damian smiled at the woman. She looked very nice from his perspective. "Ok I have all the paperwork ready, all you have to do is sign." The matron said holding a pen and a stack of papers. "The first, third, and last are the only pages you need to sign." she added putting the pen and papers on the desk.

Lumeria smiled again as she took the pen and signed off on the papers and then looked to the woman."alright thats all squared away. Come one Damian lets get you to your new home." she said looking to the boy with a happy smile.

The Matron took the papers and put them in a file cabinet. "You may leave with the boy now." she said walking out of the room, leaving them alone. Damian smiled up at the woman and stood up, putting his hand in hers. "Lets go." he said with a broad smile as they left the room.

Lumiera smiled as she held the boys hand. She looked over to him and smiled."hello there Damian, don't worry all will be revealed in time. But do not worry you are safe with me." she said with a smile her red eyes showing to him.

They left the building holding hands. "So where is home?" Damian asked curiously as they crossed the road.

Lumiera looked to him and chuckled."home is not here that is for sure. Just hold on and i will get there. I hope you do not mind my cave. Trust me it does not look liek a cave on the inside." she said with a smile and turned to him creating a portal behind them. On the other side you could see cave walls lined with Persian rugs, jewels chains and pillows. She smiled as she stepped through pulling Damian through.

"Whoa it looks so nice in here!!" Damian exclaimed as he spun in a circle, taking in the cave. His stomache rumbled suddenly, causing him to laugh out loud.

Lumiera laughs as she looked to him and motioned to the back of his cave."thats your room back there a bed covers and everything you need. I did get some clothes for you I hope you don't mind. So what do you want to eat kiddo?" she asked hearing his stomach growl.

Damian shrugged. "Depends on whatcha got." he said jokingly.

Lumeria laughed seeing Damian and his comment."well sweet heart I can get you anything. " she said as she looked to him and grabbed a rag. The second she did she let herself relax. She smiled more and let out a chuckle.

"Can we have burgers?" He asked sitting on the floor against the wall.

"Yep I can get you some burgers, any way you want the,? and how many do you want?" she asked with a kind smile turning to him. She had yet to reveal her demonic nature to him and was waiting for the perfect moment to unveil it.

"Can I have them on the raw side and 2 please." Damian said returning the smile.

"Oh my on the raw side? im sure to get intresting looks, are you sure? aren't you afraid you might get some type of intestinal parisite?" she asked in a concerened yet joking manner, considering she knew he wouldn't have the appetite of a normal boy. She then lifted her hand and opened up a portal outside of a burger shack's alleyway. "But ill be right back with your more 2 more then medium rare burgers." she said iwth a smile before stepping through the portal. A few minutes later she returned with two burger and a small pair of cooked cornish hens for herself. She looked to him and handed him the bag."there you go, I hope you enjoy it kiddo." she said again with a smile as she sat down in a chair next to a small table.

Damian took the bag and unwrapped a burger, taking a bite. A little bit of juice from the raw-ish burger dribbled down his chin as he took another bite. "Why do you live in a cave?" he asked with his mouth full.
