On the news, I've noticed, an article of a Disney star passing at only the age of 20. This hit hard for me because I grew up with these certain Disney stars. I think it's so nostalgic to think of how I used to watch Wizards of Waverly Place with Selena Gomez and seeing her grow into a worldwide super-popstar. I think it's so disappointing to see the loss of a young, talented actor. I know I'm going to hear comments on how the 'Old Disney' was better, but I didn't get to experience that as a part of my childhood. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I find it difficult to picture somebody you'd watch on TV be gone all of the sudden. I didn't know them, I just feel like it's so odd and saddening to know that you won't ever see them grow up and see their successes. I don't really know where I was going with this but I kinda just wanted to get this off my chest. I don't know how to feel about the loss of somebody that I didn't know but I know had an impact on my childhood.
I know what you mean, Star. I looked up to see who it was and I didn't see his shows. But I know how it feels. A character you grow up watching feels like a friend!

When someone from one of my childhood shows passes on, I hate it, because there's this loss feeling and there's also this surreal feeling. It's like -- how can that person not be on the planet anymore? That seems impossible.

The most recent celebrity that happened for me with is Luke Perry, who used to be on Beverly Hills 90210. And before that it was Penny Marshall (Laverne from Laverne and Shirley).

But this person dying at 20 is all the more tragic because he was so young.

My point is just that I understand, and when you watch someone every day after school, or what have you, and you hear their voice, and root for their character, they really do come to mean a lot to you, and it really is a kind of loss. :/ <3

I'm sorry to hear that this actor died so young. It's tragic.

It really is an awful thing and he definitely had a lot of things going for him! And yeah, I know what you mean. I completely agree at how impossible (and I suppose surreal) that seems. You know that they are a human being too, but you never expected them to die, especially at such a young age. I just couldn't really find the right feeling to describe what it's like. It's the combination of sadness, surrealism, confusion, and I suppose a bit of nostalgia. If that makes sense. I feel so awful for his family, as he was so young.

It's like a part of your life childhood is gone. I'm a musician I really got sad and upset when prince, tom petty died. It's like even though you never met them it still affects you deeply. He died way to young I feel for those close to him.

I mean sort of. I don’t want to say that it’s gone, but it’s been...dissected. Like a needle pinpricked a piece of my childhood out, but I feel like it’s still there.

I sound like a lunatic but I seriously can’t describe it.

Cameron Boyce will be missed <3

I grew up with things like Lazy Town, in the night garden, and my heart ached when I found out Robbie Rotten (Stefan Karl Stefansson) died of cancer.

I then grew up through my pre-teen years watching Jesse and descendants, bunk'd, and a lot of shows he was in. While it wasn't as personal as Robbie Rotten was, it still stung. Especially because he was so young. Think about one thing though: at least he went peacefully. Death is a horrible thing for anybody, but he had the seizure in his sleep. He wasn't awake when it happened, so he wouldn't have felt it. He didn't die in agony.

It was 1980... Bon Scott died in February, John Bonham died in September, and John Lennon died in December. All way too young. I get what you are saying Stars. A piece of my youth died with each of them.

Yeah, I read about that, and I'm glad it was peaceful, unlike some other deaths people experience. :(
