Im not sure if im posting this in the write section.
Basically life just suddenly got so much busier once summer actually started. I thought id have more time to rp but boiii was i wrong. I guess with picking up extra work, trying to maintain my social life, read, and go visit my grandparents, i have had no time to actually sit down and write a reply.
I feel really bad about not replying to the rps, but i just have no time to do that. And when i do have some free time, i usually end up just taking a nap or going on walks. I was wondering how, if someone has gone through this, to get the writing going. Its like i have all the replies written out in my head, but when i type them they seem all wrong. And ig its even worse that i hate sending out a reply im not perfectly happy with (sometimes i edit a reply like 5 times till im satisfied)

Sooo i guess this is a rant thing with wanting to hear who else has gone through this and how they solved this small problem!

It's healthy to take breaks. To reenergize rejuvenate and to relax. When something isn't fun anymore it's good to do other things you are doing you mentioned in your forum. Your health happiness and you come first. Your freinds and roleplayers will understand. We all go through writers block.

I recently gone through something similar... most of this year in fact. Some RPs seemed too daunting to tackle and I even struggled through the shorter reply ones. Life is too busy sometimes. It needs to be fun. A good break away from the site and rp in general does wonders. I went a week without logging in and I had a fresh mind for it.

Hoping you enjoy your summer and don’t stress on having to reply. Find the joy and the muse will return.

I feel you on the replies written out in your head bit but not out on paper
I typically write in other programs like google docs instead of RPR so I can basically sack-lunch my replies and carry them around and have just accepted the life of someone who can only reply once or twice a week

I think everyone else here has already given you the best advice. I feel like the writing down replies on other media than here is a really good idea. Just to put the reply you have written out in detail in your head on paper.
I've been there by the way. I just solved it by ignoring the rps I already was in by starting new ones. Or by writing something just for myself. Then, when I felt like I could properly reply to the rp again, I'd be back.

But this reply is taking really long. Bottom line: taking breaks and taking care of yourself is always always the best thing to do. People will understand.
