EDIT: I have since been able to talk to this person and we cleared things up


DISCLAIMER: I don’t want this post to seem like I’m being a baby or over sensitive, I just sometimes actually take these things to heart if there’s no reason behind them


Alright, so recently I was going to reply to a RP I have going on with a certain user, everything seemed to be going fine, then I see that I have been blocked.

There was no fight or anything, just a random block.


Now I’m normally not someone to complain about this kind of stuff because it’s not a big deal.


BUT when it’s for no reason it kinda hurts and makes me feel like I offended them or did something wrong

I know it shouldn’t but it also really hurts my self esteem. I rather know what I did wrong so I can fix it for the next person


Idk have you guys been blocked like this before? What are you’re thoughts on this

This is one of the most common occurrences on any writing community when it comes to people stepping away from one another. It certainly isn't fun, but you should most definitely look in to this article that Novalyn wrote over here.

Ghosting is extremely common, and it certainly sucks to get ghosted, but more than likely this person has nothing negative against you as a person. It sounds like you were lovely, though I don't know enough details to give you a full opinion, but try not to dwell on it being caused specifically by you as a person. Seriously, read the article, it's super helpful.

fortunately, i haven’t been in the exact same situation but it has happened that people have completely ghosted me from one day to the next; sometimes they just deleted their user, vanished completely from the website or just stopped replying to me yet still continued to be active on the site. so, long story short, i feel like i can relate and there’s really nothing to do about this.

as i don’t know what the user might have thought, my best guess would be that they perhaps didn’t wish to continue the roleplay and didn’t have the heart to tell you in fear of hurting your feelings. i think that’s why most people block others or ghost people here. of course i can be wrong but my best advice is to find new roleplay partners, so you can look forward to their replies and be excited about the roleplays!
