Ember crossed her arms across her chest and gave him a 'really?' look. "Seriously, its no big deal." She said.

Liam sighed, already knowing that Ember was a stubborn girl. "Alright, I can help you gather food in return." He offered the idea.

Ember smiled and nodded. "Deal" she said ad turned in a random direction. "So, about the food situation..."

"We should be able to find something to eat. I know that some animals are still alive, I saw some deer a while back." He said, pointing back where he had came from.

"Cool, than what are we waiting for?" She asked, grabbing his sleeve and dragging him to the direction where he pointed.

"Okay..." He said, letting her tug him. "It is kind of deeper into the rumble, away from the towns."

"No problem." She said, then stopped. "Um... maybe... you should lead the way." She said, embarrassed. "'Cause I have no idea where were going."

Liam smiled down at her and ruffled her hair. "It is alright. Come on." He began to walk to where he had seen the deer.

Ember followed behind him, messing with her beanie.

It wasn't long before they were out of the city and into the rumble of what was left behind. "It shouldn't be long till we find a deer."

Ember glanced around till she saw a shadow pass by. She smirked and tip toed over to the shadow to find a deer wandering.

Liam spotted the deer as well but noticed that Ember was already on the move after it.

Ember got in a crouching position, crawling towards it. Though she hadn't noticed that a branch form a tree had snagged on her hat, pulling it off to revile her two golden ears.

Liam watched but when her hat came off, he stood there in total shock. "What?!" He hadn't realized how loud that was until the deer trotted off.

Ember froze when Liam screamed and scared the deer off. "What the hell?" She hissed at him, clearly irradiated. She got up and crossed her arms over her chest. "I just had it. What are you so worked up about?" She asked, seeing the shock on his face.

Liam began speaking so quick, it all came out sounding like gibberish. He pointed to her golden ears.

"Eh?" She asked, then happened to notice that her beanie was on the ground. She slowly reached up to confirm that it was hers and to her horror, it was. Ember let out a shrike and grabbed the hat, stuffing her head back into it, but she knew it wouldn't help. He had already saw her ears, and the damage was done.
