Rules: Say something that was true when you were young, but which is no longer true.
For example,
"In my day, most games were 2D."
"In my day, there was only one Starbucks in my whole town."
"In my day, every cell phone flipped open and closed."
Etc...! Have fun!
In my day, cell phones did not exist so when you lost someone in the grocery store you had to go to customer service and get them to embarrassingly call them up front over the loudspeaker! Lol
"Justin Jones, come to customer service, your mother is waiting. Justin Jones to customer service."
Like that.

In my day, everyone had a big huge map in their car when they were traveling and unfolded it on the dashboard, and no one ever knew how to fold that d**n thing back into a little rectangle the way it was supposed to go. Lol
In my day, you played outside all day without a phone on you and you knew it was time to go home when the streetlights came on.
(My parents didn't see me all day and had no idea what I was up to or had any way to get in touch with me. )

In my day...no one knew how to fold a fitted sheet. (Oh wait! That's still true. We should maybe fix that...)

Yes! I guess that's universal, Sanne! The streetlights thing. Same in Texas.
Yep, my only rule was "don't go out of the apartment complex," when I was little, but by middle school we were walking to the grocery store miles away and the gas station.
Once, when I was playing in the woods that surrounded the apt complex, and my mom needed to get a hold of me, she drove the circle around the complex with her hand on the horn nonstop.
My best friend said, "Do you think that could be your mom?"
I said, "No. No way." But then as the car kept going around and around, I was like,
"Oh god, it IS my mom isn't it?"
Amber was like, "I really think it is."
We went out of the woods and there was my mom. Lol
In my day, the only thing on MTV was music videos.
(I have TOO many of these, I can't seem to stop )
In my day, Super Mario Brothers was the only, single game with Mario and Luigi and the princess. I played Super Mario Brothers #1. The original. The only. And Duck Hunt came with it. Lol

In my day, payphones...actually...still worked.
In my day, you only had to know your 7 digit phone number, unless you were calling another city. (now some cities have more than one area code).
In my day, candy bars were like...59 cents.
In my day, New Kids On the Block were super popular.
In my day (in elementary school), cell phones hadn't been invented yet, so pagers were a thing regular people used. (Doctors still use them now).
In my day, Maria Carey was just starting to get big.
In my day, every watched Oprah.
Ok I think I'm done!
