In my day, cell phones did not exist so when you lost someone in the grocery store you had to go to customer service and get them to embarrassingly call them up front over the loudspeaker! Lol

"Justin Jones, come to customer service, your mother is waiting. Justin Jones to customer service."

In my day, everyone had a big huge map in their car when they were traveling and unfolded it on the dashboard, and no one ever knew how to fold that d**n thing back into a little rectangle the way it was supposed to go. Lol

In my day, you played outside all day without a phone on you and you knew it was time to go home when the streetlights came on.

(My parents didn't see me all day and had no idea what I was up to or had any way to get in touch with me. )

Yep, my only rule was "don't go out of the apartment complex," when I was little, but by middle school we were walking to the grocery store miles away and the gas station.

Once, when I was playing in the woods that surrounded the apt complex, and my mom needed to get a hold of me, she drove the circle around the complex with her hand on the horn nonstop.

My best friend said, "Do you think that could be your mom?"

I said, "No. No way." But then as the car kept going around and around, I was like,

"Oh god, it IS my mom isn't it?"

Amber was like, "I really think it is."

We went out of the woods and there was my mom. Lol

In my day, the only thing on MTV was music videos.

(I have TOO many of these, I can't seem to stop )

In my day, Super Mario Brothers was the only, single game with Mario and Luigi and the princess. I played Super Mario Brothers #1. The original. The only. And Duck Hunt came with it. Lol

Heh, yeah. Patches were a thing when I was in high school. Mom would sew bits of other jeans over the tears in my jeans... I thought it was cool.
