I was blocked for no reason. I didn’t even say anything or do anything. I was waiting for them (not saying username) to respond to a RP we had. It was a while since they responded so I went to message them if everything was okay because I was worried!

But it turns out they blocked me.

It was sad— because I blamed myself when I did nothing wrong, I really loved the RPs we were doing, and I thought them to be super kind!

Now.. I don’t know what to do. I want to message them and ask why they blocked me because I’m curious— but I can’t! Since I’m blocked.

Happens all the time to me...you get used to it. The best thing is to simply move on.

Yeah, sometimes it just happens! Sometimes there’s a reason, sometimes it could be a mistake. Who knows? The best thing to do is to put it behind you. If this RP is in the PMs I would archive the conversation, so it doesn’t clutter the inbox, but if they did happen to accidentally block you, they can still contact you

There's always a reason, we just often don't get to know what it is. Sometimes it's because of an issue the person didn't know how to communicate, sometimes it's some mistake or miscommunication, sometimes someone blocks an annon without realizing it's the same person...

It's unfortunate, and I wish people could learn to communicate better, but these things cannot be forced.

I'm sorry that this happened and caused sadness! It's never fun, and it can be stressful. Dealing with this without being able to get an answer tends to be really emotional.

Please don't try to get in touch with them in any way, even if you feel really upset and want an answer. Everybody is free to block whomever they wish to avoid contact for any reason, and nobody is obligated to share that reason. How about doing something fun that'll take your mind off this?

Remember that while you can't change the fact you're blocked or get an answer on why, you can choose how to respond to the situation, and I have faith in your ability to move forward and make more friends who value having you around.

I'm sorry to hear that Star. I have been enjoying our rps as well so I don't know why someone would block you

Sorry Star! I know how you feel....it happened to me too with someone that was very active and seemed to be quite compatible with my RP style. So I was definitely concerned.

You're a wonderful friend here and rest assured, it's not your fault or anything you did....every human on this planet has issues, hang-ups, and trauma...so we do random things that often directly or indirectly push good people away.

It's tough not getting closure or an answer but I'm here for you and so are many others in our community here!

So be encouraged, there's gonna be a lot of fun writing and good stories here in your future!

I’m sorry this has happened to you! It sucks being blocked and not knowing what you did wrong! You seem awesome! All you can do is move away from this and not let it effect you

It is indeed tough to suddenly be blocked and not know why. As others have stated, sometimes the person has issues going on in the real world that are stressing them out and they need to take a break, sometimes something you said unintentionally set off a bout of anxiety or something.

Communication can sometimes be hard, which is why it is a very valuable skill to possess, but it also means sometimes a person doesn't know how to say what they would need to, to help you understand their reasoning behind what they are doing, or resolve whatever issue it is that prompted them to do it.

Just know that there are plenty who are willing and able to communicate with you, *twiddles thumbs and whistles innocently* and that maybe in time, if they can resolve whatever blocked them from communicating, they may return. And if not, it's not necessarily either your fault or theirs. Sometimes things like this just happen and no one can really help it.
