Blood stained the cobblestone roads as gunshots echoed across the town. It was chaos now that the word had leaked about the child's re-birth, but many still refused to believe it. Troops marched closer to the temple as guards attempted to stop them only to be thrown aside like mere dolls and trampled by their horses. Singing could be heard inside as a young boy sat on a woman's lap, The woman was about 19 whereas the boy was about 5. Troops blew the doors off the hinges and charged into the building, only to find the woman with the limp body of the boy in her arms. The troops aimed their guns as the woman looked up, blood dripping down her chin.

Scarlett walked along the cobblestone streets trying to find the orphanage, and her target. She came to a gloomy brick building at the entrance to a dark alley, it's walls covered in ivy and mold. "This must be the place." She said with a smile as she climbed the beat steps to the oak doors. Scarlett took out the picture of her target and studied it carefully. "Poor boy, doesn't even know he could cause a war." She mumbled taking the brass knocker firmly in her hand and slamming it back down on the door three times.

Azreal Strife, he was a bit of a chaotic young boy. Causing trouble where ever he could find it, He had golden eyes that blazed like fire. He heard the knock at the door and sighed, walking over to the door and pulled it open. Azreal was maybe around 7 or so but he looked older than he was " what do ya want?" he said brushing his shaggy hair our of his eyes, there was a scar running over his right eye.

"I'm looking for the owner of this facility." Scarlett said with a smile. She took the picture out of her pocket and compared it with the boy in front of her. And here is my target. She quickly put the picture back into her pocket while the boy went to get the Matron.

Azreal sighed and turned walking off.... he return a little while later with the owner " here" he said before walking away.

"Hello, My name is Scarlett Cadwell and I'm here to adopt one of these lovely children." Scarlett said using her persuasiveness. "I would like to adopt this one." she added taking out the picture of the young boy who answered the door and showing it to her.

" him, are you sure? he.. hes a it of a wild one" the owner said glaceing over at Azreal who he just pushed a girl down out of his way. she was clearly afraid of him.

"Yes him, unless he has a twin brother somewhere else." Scarlett said unafraid. She had dealt with more dangerous children over her thousand years. "If you don't mind I would rather do this quickly, I'm in a bit of a hurry." Scarlett said glancing down the vacant street and ally.

" alright, come in.. i'll get the papers" she said


Azreal watched them from where he was standing, his golden eyes glowing from under his black and red streaked hair.

Scarlett walked into the dim office and took out her pen. "Where do I sign?" she asked smartly getting her dagger ready for the kill.

Here on the last line" she said putting her finger on the line for a moment. "Azreal come in here i know your watching!" she called out the door

Azreal snorted " why" he said not moveing.

"Scarlett signed on the designated spot and clicked her pen back. She put it into her front pocket and waited for Azreal to come into the room.

" just come in here" She said to Azreal


Azreal sighed walking in "going to punish me again?" he growled a dangerous look in his eyes.

Scarlett looked at Azreal and sighed. This one will be the most work through. She regained her composure and held out her hand to Azreal. "Hi, I'm Scarlett. Whats your name?" she asked gently to avoid cruelness.

he looked at her "Azreal strife" he said semply " most everyone around here calls me Greed though" he said seeming to relax a bit.

"We'll I'm not one for rude names Azreal." Scarlett said giving the matron the papers back and standing up. "I'm Scarlett, and how would you like a real home?" She asked smiling and straightening out her shirt.

She took them with a smile

Azreal blinked " id love one... but nobody wants me" he said looking down

"I guess I'm nobody then." Scarlett said smiling and ruffling his hair. "C'mon kiddo." She said waking out of the matrons office. "You have anything you need from here?" She asked over her shoulder.

"i dont have anything" Azreal said following her. he seemed to have calmed down a little.

"Ok." Scarlett said taking Azreal's hand and walking him out the door. "Want to say goodby forever?" Scarlett said with a smile taking a fifty dollar bill from her pocket and giving it to Azreal. "Here, get some new clothes or a toy."Scarlett said walking across the street to the stores.

" OK! " Azreal said happily takeing the money and headed to a store.

It did not take long for him to get some cloths and a few little toys and he return to Scarlett " ok im done" he said smiling.
