howdy! I'll keep things short. I'm looking for an older character (adult at least) to serve as a mentor/familial figure for Marie, my ditzy, overly optimistic botanist girl trying to move on from a rough background. No set preference for character personality, but the idea of pairing her with a gruff, too-tired-for-your-shit individual would literally be the trope of my dreams. Setting is most likely to be any form of sci-fi or dystopian/apocalyptic world, but if the pair-up or plot is interesting enough, I'd consider plain ol' modern.
I don't have much laid out on her profile except for the literal basics, but I'm happy to elaborate on her personality and history as needed.
The relationship would be strictly platonic, of course - likely with some familial undertones, as Marie is an orphan (to her knowledge) and has no preexisting family of her own. Dad her. Or mom her. Whatever works. She'll probably cry.
I'd like a partner who can keep up with about a 300 word minimum, as I like to write big, meaty posts and little chunks of 2 or 3 paragraphs don't cut it for me. I write in strictly past tense (i hate present dammit) and thoroughly enjoy stupid, lengthy internal monologue and flashbacks because that's where the good stuff's at. Expect an average of around 600-800 words from me, more depending on the situation. don't be intimidated, though. I'm nice. I swear. :^)
oh, uh, I also like to draw. A lot. Expect your character gallery to be overwhelmed with my art if things work out.
