Mara sat in the limbs of a tree watching out over a city in the distance, since the accident she had not entered the city in years. Truth was Mara was a Vampire in some ways, but an odd type of one. She had the powers, and heighten skills that most did. She did not desire blood like others, nore did she need it. But still it was best for her to just stay away from humans, as her pail skin made them uneasy. With a soft sigh, Mara turn her blue-gold eyes to the sky ~ will i ever have friends again?~ she thought.
Nick was out in the woods, practicing swinging his sword around his head. It was a fine weapon, an ancient Japanese katana, and it sang as it sliced through the air above his head.
This was the only place he could practice- practice being a vampire hunter, that is.

Mara turn her head looking over in the deraction she heard something ~please dont be another lost person~ she thought leaping from the tree and walked closer to where she heard the sound, and hid in the shadows.
Slashing, swinging, jabbing, whirling, Nick was obviously a master swordsman. He stopped finally after a final spinning whirl, panting and lowering his sword. He liked practicing, and it was important to him.
This was going to work.
This was going to work.
"that's some amazing sword work" Mara said stepping out f the woods " where did you learn to do that?" she asked.
He turned quickly, although he lowered his sword slightly when he saw her.
"I taught myself," he replied cautiously, sizing her up to see if she was a threat or not.

"Thats quite amazing" Mara said sitting down in the grass " why have you come out here?" she asked a bit curious.
"To practice," he said as he sheathed the katana in the sheath on his back. She didn't seem like a threat, but he had his sword in case he needed it.
" well the woods are a good place to practice, its also a good place to hide" she added with a sigh.
"Sure is. Can't exactly practice in suburbia..."
" yeah, to many people, and distractions." she said looking around, seeming a bit uneasy.
"Considered dangerous, yes, even though I know what I'm doing." He sat down with his back against a tree, studying her with a hint of curiousity in his eyes.
Mara nodded " its a grate skill to have, easy to protect youreself" she said yawning a little bit.
"Easy to attack as well," he added, closing his eyes momentarily.
"yes, that is true to. do you happen to know where the closest lake or creek is? iv been out of water for a few days" she said.
"A mile or two south of here... You mean you haven't drunk anything in a couple of days?"
Mara shook her head.. "im afrad to go anywhere. I dont know if i'll run into anyone, im saprised im even here, i normaly try to stay away from people." she said sighing
He tossed her a water bottle, slightly concerned looking. "You can't live that long without water, girl. Drink that entire thing, if you haven't had anything you're probably dehydrated."
Mara caught the water ottle and quickly took the top off and gulped down what was inside. " thats so much better, thank you so much" she said with a small smile.
"You're welcome. Have another," he said, tossing her his other water bottle. "Apparently you need it more than I do."
