I felt his hands tighten around my throat cutting off my air supply. He had both hands around my thin neck and was holding me up in the air so that I can't try something to get him off. I was digging my now claw like nails into his meaty hands but it looked like it didn't even hurt him. He kept squeezing tighter and tighter with every fail I made in a attempt to get free but nothing worked. Soon I felt my heart stop and saw nothing but pitch black darkness.

Kuro woke up with a scream at the memory of death but she covered her mouth as soon as she realized she had been screaming in her sleep. She sat up and looked around to see if anyone had heard her. She was sweaty and shaken a little from that simple memory. The memory of death can make her feel it again and that frighten her more than anything in the world. She sighed when she saw that no one had possibly heard her.

Falen cringed a the sudden ear-splitting scream. He looked around to try and find the source of the noise. He found a slightly cracked open door leading into a bedroom. And of course it was Kuro's room. Falen opened the door. "Kuro, we need to have a serious talk." He walked over to the edge of her bed and sat down. "What do you keep screaming about?" His face made a curious look. "It has to be really bad if makes you wake up screaming and go into a heavy sweat." He brushed a piece of her hair back. "You are making me really worried Kuro." He stood up and brushed a spider-web off of his fedora then sat back down. "Please tell me."

Kuro was still had her hand over her mouth when Falen walked into her room. She slowly removed her hand from her mouth, looking down at the sheets covering her. She sighed, running a hand through her hair. "Its just old memories. I don't know why, but everytime I get physically hurt, all those memories of pain comes rushing back." She pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them. "I'm sorry to worry you like that. I wish I could just erase those memories." She buried her face in her arms, hating her past, her master, those experiments, everything that had happened to her before she left her master's lab.

He looked very concerned now. "If you don't want to you don't have to, but can you describe what was happening in your dream? Anything big you can remember?" Raden without noticing was holding her hands. He then broke away one hand to wipe away a year on her face. He then settled his hand back in hers. "And if would make you cheer up anymore I could sing a song." He smile gingerly but charmingly.

Kuro nodded. "It was a memory that I could never forget. It was the last fight my master put me in before I ran away. I was fighting a Russian murder this time instead of a soldier. Before I knew it, he had his hands around my neck." She began to tremble, the fear of what happened next. "He kept squeezing my neck until I couldn't breath and then I died, but only for a couple minutes and then somehow I was back to life without any help whatsoever. Death is a horrible thing, more so when you experience it." She let out a breath, gripping Raden's hands. "You don't have to, I'm sure I'll be fine."

He smiled after her last statement. "Those damn bastards." His smile faded. He sighed. He then looked into her eyes. "Where can I find them?" His green eyes flashed red. They then immediately turned back. He knew Kuro had never seen that before. But why did it trigger now? Was it because he became angry? No, because it hadn't done it because of that before. No matter, all that does matter is that she didnt see it. "Again, where can I find them?"

Kuro shook her head. "When I came back to life I killed the Russian criminal." She said, sighing. She really didn't think that at this point it was mute. She escaped death's grasp once and avoided it twice, as she saw it, life was trying to get rid of her but death wouldn't take her. "It doesn't matter now. You should go ahead and go get some sleep, I'll be fine."

"Okay, jut holler to me from across the hall if you need anything." He sighed and then got up and walked to his room. The door hinges creaked open as did the floorboards. Someone sneaked through the house. Out of nowhere Falen's fist was in the cloaked man's face. He then struck him in the back with his elbow. But the man quickly responded. The man sidestepped another blow then brought his right knee up into Falen's gut knocking the wind out of him. The man the brought his left fist in and upper cut hitting Falen in the jaw. Fallen was dazed until his form kicked in. He grew leathery black wings and razor sharp teeth. His fingernails became longer and sharper. His eyes then turned bloodshot red and a black scythe appeared in his right hand. "Who are you?" The man trembled in fear and responded with. "WHAT are you?"

((Sorry. Real life stuff happening and I was gone for the weekend and all of that. A bunch of drama, basically.))

Kuro nodded and crawled back into bed. Trying to fall back asleep, until she heard what sounds like a struggle in the house. She quickly went to go see what was going on, but stopped when she saw what Falen has become. Her eyes were wide with shock, but not fear. She never truly showed fear, seeing him like this only shocked her more than anything. "F-Falen?" She asked, taking a step back.

Falen looked at Kuro. "Not now." He then turned his gaze toward the assassin. "Something that you could call, a Nightmare." He stuck out a hand pulling in the assassin as he did that he looked over at Kuro's shocked face. "I'm sorry." He whispered. He threw the assassin out the window. He then returned to his human form, his scythe still in hand.

Kuro still stood there in utter shock. "A N-nightmare?" She asked, the shock quivering her quiet voice. She watched as he went back to his human from, scythe still in hand. "W-what is a Nightmare?" She asked, the curiosity not being pushed aside from the shock.

He shook his head violently. "Something that I never wanted to be, ever." He turned his back on her, he made his scythe exit the same way it entered. A puff of purple smoke. His eyes became its normal green once again. He clenched his fist. "A Nightmare is-" He turned toward Kuro and took a small step toward her. "You might want to sit down."

Kuro nodded and took a sit on one of the nearby chairs. "W-why didn't you tell me you were a nightmare?" She asked, still in shock of all this.
