Dai nodded, a little surprised that she was blind during the day, but if she wanted to explain why, she would. "I'm usually the guy who will read the poetry out loud. That's how most of the people remembered me as." He shrugged. His voice never really stood out, it was like any 17-year-old male.
Faye took a moment to try to remember listening to his voice in class, it was easier for her to distinguish it from others because she'd had to do that all her life. "Wait a minute, I remember you now." At last her poetry guy had a name. Just then, the back door rattled and her head snapped towards the sound. "Does this place have some kind of basement or storeroom?"
Dai smiled as she remembered him. "Most of my friends tease me for that." He shrugged uncaringly. "Doesn't matter though, I am who I am, no one is going to change that." His eyes darted toward the door just moments before it rattled. "Yeah. There is a door in the very back of the restaurant that leads to the basement. You go ahead and go there, I'll see if it is the fury or someone else." He stood up.
For a moment, she didn't say anything, until the sound of someone, or something struggling to open the door, brought her back to her senses. She was on her feet inmediately too and crossed her arms stubbornly. "If you're not going to the basement then I'll stay here in case you need me."
Dai shook his head. "I will call you if I need any help. This thing is after you, if it finds a demon, like myself, then it would most likely leave once it thinks you are somewhere else. My scent is on you because of my jacket, so your scent is covered and being in the basement will show that you are not in here."
Faye let her arms fall to her sides. "That makes too much sense." She sighed and then jabbed a finger at his chest. "Be warned, I will come running up here if it sounds like you need help." Looking back at the door, she grabbed her handbag and started walking towards the basement.
Dai sighed as she left and once she was gone, he answered the door.
"May I help you?" He asked.
There in the doorway just stood what looked like any other man but of course, Dai could smell that this guy was not human.
"Yes, I am looking for a young lady, I believe that she came into your restaurant." He pulled out a photo of Faye.
Dai looked at the photo and shook his head. "No one else is here but me, sir. I'm sorry, you must have the wrong place." He said.
The man nodded. "Do you mind if I take a look around?"
"I rather you not, my boss told me not to let anyone else in after closing time. I'm sorry, sir, but you'll have to look somewhere else." The fury nodded and walked away from the restaurant as Da closed the door.

Faye was listening to them with her ear pressed against the door that led to the basement that was only half closed. She checked her phone. It was near midnight. A franctic text from her mother said to stay where she was until her dad came for her. She replied with an 'Okay' and poked her head out when she heard the door closing.
Dai waited until he heard the man's footsteps fade away, before turning to go get Faye. He saw her stick out her head and shook his head. "You just don't know how to hide, do you?" He said with a small grin. "He is gone, the scent trick worked just fine."
"I do know how to hide. I just didn't want to." She smiled smugly and then let out a deep sigh. "Thanks a lot, I don't know what I'd have done if you hadn't helped me. My dad should be here in a couple of minutes, so... I guess I'll see you tomorrow at school." She thought about it better. "Or not..."
Dai rolled at her response to his questions. "You really need to hide when a fury is coming after you." He said, crossing his arms around his chest. He nodded. "Alright, then. I need to go ahead and change out of this uniform." He said as he walked to the Employees Only room.
A car honked outside while she waited for Dai, she walked towards the Employees room and stopped outside. "My dad is here, I'm leaving. Thanks for everything, again." She said and shook her head when her dad honked again. "Bye." Something fell from her pocket as she left, a neatly folded piece of paper.
"Alright, see ya tomorrow." He called when she said she was leaving. Of course when the paper dropped, he heard it. He finished changing into his regular clothes, putting his uniform in the locker. He wore head to toe black clothing. He put his pistol in it's holster and his pocket knife in his pocket, where it belonged. He stepped outside of the Employees room, he picked up the piece of paper, wondering what it is.
(Since your character dropped it, I'll let you decide what is written on it.)

The paper contained a few dessert recipes she'd been working on the last few days. Faye got in the car and had to go through a whole interrogatory about what exactly happened in there. She was forced to tell him the name, age, and some unnecessary details about Dai, which made her roll her eyes. "He helped me, that's all."

Dai read over what was on the paper, and put it his pocket, deciding that he would give it back to her at school. He walked out of the restaurant and locked it back up before walking back to his apartment. Once he was home, he set the keys in the key bowl next to the door and flopped down on the couch.
When she got back home, it took her a good time before she was able to sleep. Adrenaline was a serious thing, it seemed. She pictured Dai's face one more time in her mind before she went back to sleep, hoping he'd actually talk to her again the next day.
Dai went ahead and ate dinner then went to bed. He was use to these kind of things, so it took more to get his adrenaline pumping. He had to remember to give Faye her recipes back, it gave him a reason to talk to her and get to know her better, which was good for him. She seemed sweet and nice, she might be the first person he would actually trust. He then remembered that she still had his jacket, which that was his favorite leather jacket, it had his first name sewn on the back of it.
The next morning, Faye awoke to another sightless day. Her green eyes were unfocused, but familiar to all the stuff in her room, she knew where to find her clothes, and where was the shower. She then realized she had forgotten to give Dai his jacket back. "That sounds like a good enough excuse." She told herself and then smiled. She arrived at school early, as always.
Dai woke up the next morning with the sun shining brightly through his window. He got dressed and brush his messy hair. He wore a black shirt with the AC/DC logo on it and a pair of baggy black jeans. The standard look for a gothic, rebellious teenager, which was what he was going for. He really had nothing to rebel against, besides what people say you need to act and look like at his age. He drove to school in his dark green Ford, it was an older model, but it ran just like it was brand new.
Faye was already there with her long hair in a ponytail, standing in a hallway talking to one of her friends, but paying close attention in case she heard a certain voice around. She had his jacket in her backpack, and had already told her friend to tell her if she saw Dai. Some details about how they met were omitted when she told her about it.
