The wagon looked to be abandoned on the side of the dirt pathed road. It wasn't unusual to see an abandoned wagon or cart these days. The summer was approaching, and many that traveled, burdened with heavy items oft times left things abandoned when the heat became unbearable, or when things simply broke. Thus was one of those days. The wagon looked odd, with one wooden spoked wheel looking a little larger than its partner. The boards that made up the sides of the wagon were weather worn and warped in places, making it appear rickety, and unstable. The contents inside the cart were bundled by sheets, and the bundles looked lumpy, and not at all comfortable if one were to climb up for a further inspection. There didn't seem to be any sign that the cart had a horse to it, nor did it seem that the owner was anywhere around either. Who would have left such a bundled cart abandoned like so?";
Xiana walks the down road on her way to find a new home to stay in. She has only the clothes on her back and a small bag she carries on her shoulder. The day is beautiful and the sun felt nice and warm against her skin. She spots a wagon on the side of the road and walks up to it, hoping to find something useful to sell and get money for a place to stay, but she doesn't expect much from an abandoned wagon. Get's close and notices the strange wheel. "No wonder it's abandoned.." She puts her bag down and climbs onto the side of the wagon using the bigger wheel to stand on. Peeks inside and sees the sheets. She reaches in to grab them.
"E-excuse me," a voice called from behind her. A shark/fox hybrid girl was behind her, holding her tail shyly, "D-do you have any food to spare?"
Xiana jumps surprised and turns around. She slowly get's off the wagon and looks this shark/fox girl up and down surprised at what she's seeing. "Um yes I do." Picks up her bag and reaches in pulling out bread and an apple. Holds it out to give to the girl. "Sorry this is all I have haha" She smiles at the girl.
Natalia nervously took the apple but let Xiana keep the bread, "Th-thank you very much..." she said. It was more than evident that she was homeless. Her sandy fur was more brown with dirt now than anything and her only clothes were undergarments and a tunic that was for a man considerably larger than herself and it fit almost like a short dress on her.
The teen took a bite out of the apple and let out a cat-like purr as she felt the sweet juices run down her throat, those sharp shark teeth of hers easily carving through the fruit. She looked back at the older girl again.
"Thank you very much..." she said and started to walk away, glad she had found any kindness.

Xiana takes another look at at and realizes she might be homeless and alone, just like herself. Something in her head tells her just to forget about the younger girl, but her gut says otherwise. Without hesitation Xiana runs over and catches up to the girl. "Wait. Um... Where is your family?"
She was startled when the older girl started running towards her, assuming immediately the worst and that she wanted her apple back.
She braced herself to be hit and held the fruit out to her, "Y-you can have it back! P-please don't hurt me!" she whimpered and flinched when Xiana was right next to her. She looked up upon realizing she wasn't going to get hurt and let out a scared whine, "I-I don't have one..." she answered quietly, trying to avoid eye contact with Xiana.

Xiana is startled at the girls response. Wonders to herself: 'Do I look scary?' Looks herself up and down and hopes that's not the case. Then she looks back at the girl. "Hey don't worry I won't hurt you" She doesn't know how to comfort the girl or gain her trust, since Xiana basically grew up alone her whole life. "Do you have friends? Or even a home?"
"W-well... There are some people who call themselves my friends... B-but I don't have home..." she said softly and took a shy step closer to Xenia, "You promise you won't hurt me?"
She tries smiling as reassuringly as she can "I promise. If you want you can join me?"
At that she threw her arms around Xiana, nuzzling into the human's chest. "Thank you," she whispered then backed away, looking down at her feet embarassedly, "S-sorry."
"N-Natalia... My name is Natalia," she said quietly, secretly enjoying the pars on the head and her fox ears pricked forwards happily.
"What a nice name" She smiles "I'm Xiana. Nice to meet you" She holds out her hand for you to shake it.
"Thank you... You're name is very pretty as well," she blushed beneath her fur and nervously shook Xiana's hand.
"Thanks. Let's go and see what's in that wagon over there" She points to it
"Why?" she asked but didn't argue and followed along obediently as a dog.
She walks toward the wagon. "I saw something in there. What can I say, I'm just a curious girl" They reach the wagon. "Well it was pretty hard to reach. I'll help you get up there and you grab it since you're smaller, ok?"
She whimpered, not liking the thought of being used but didn't dare argue, "Okay..." she nodded, "What is it?"
Xiana notices her whimper. "There's something hidden under those sheets. I'm sorry if you don't want to I can find a way to do it myself."
