A one-on-one roleplay between myself & KuroSakuranbo14, concerning the capture of my character Takurasho by the mother of her character Moriah. Moriah's mother is the leader of a clan of witches, & while she is in fact evil, her daughter Moriah is of a good alignment & has come to detest her mother.
The witches' coven has captured several unnatural creatures. Whether they intend to sell said creatures or utilize them for their own magical practices is unclear.
Spectators are welcome, however, please do not join in.

Takurasho found himself bound in darkness & uncertain of his exact whereabouts. He was entombed in an iron box, hardly any bigger than the average coffin. Shackles were welded to chains, both hanging from the ceiling & attached to the floor, each clasped tightly about his wrists & ankles. There was a small slide-able slat in front of his eyes that would enable someone to peer inside. At the moment this was closed, shrouding him in complete darkness.
Symbols were carved into each side of the box's exterior, binding runes glowing gold, suggesting that whatever was inside was of an ethereal character & would otherwise escape. A spirit of sorts? But no- should one open the slat, they would see only the pale {& rather flustered} man.
He could only assume that he was in a chamber {of sorts}, likely underground, as Takurasho could hear the cries & moans of beasts echoing outside of his prison. Such ominous noises were accompanied by the rattles of chains.

Moriah had heard that her mother had captured more creatures for those stupid potions that were so important. Her mother was the one for making potions because, unlike her daughter, her magic was fake. She drank potions to give her the power to wield magic like any other witch, because of this and her wizard father, Moriah had came out full witch, magic and all. She had already made plans with a few other witches who escaped the Witch Clans wrath. One of them smuggled a map of the Witch Clan castle, and they all knew where the creatures were held.
"Alright, Moriah. So we need to save these creatures from being killed to make potions?" One of the witches asked. Moriah nodded. "Yes, this can't go on forever. I've done this before, don't worry."
That very night, Moriah and the other two witches went to the Witch Clan castle. They were able to sneak in with ease. One of them took the guard out and changed into her uniform, while the other two hide the unconscious witch and went into while their fellow witch acted as if she was the guard. They quickly went to each cell, checking for which ones had creatures in it. Moriah found the one with what looked like a man with long white hair. She couldn't tell if her mother had already tried to kill him or torture him for her own sick pleasures. She opened the door and quickly undid the shackles. "Me and my comrades here have come to get you and the rest of creatures in here out to keep you all from getting killed to make potions for a fake witch." She quickly explained as she started to undo the shackle on his left ankle.

Immediately upon opening his encasing, Moriah's mind would be flooded with a series of telepathic voices. One was the hiss of a dark voiced man, venomously whispering several insults & swears. The second voice would be of the same man, however, he spoke in a furious scream of threats. The final voice was a guttural growl, certainly no man at all, but some ominous beast that simply repeated "Let me out". It was no wonder the witches had seen fit to lock him away beneath the runes. The overlapping voices were rather maddening, & they would continue to barrage her at maximum volume until she managed to explain her intentions.
"You've come to free me?" Takurasho would hiss. His eyes were sunken, complexion gaunt, & one might assume that he'd been imprisoned for some time. However, this deathly ill appearance was his natural one. "From a fake witch at that?" It was hard to tell what enraged him more: the fact that he was being rescued by a fair young woman, or the fact that a fake witch had managed to ensnare him. Either way, his pride didn't seem to be taking it well. Despite this he made no move to stop her. He seemed sickened, if not somewhat horrified. She was selflessly {?} freeing him, & such an act would make him indebted to her, whether she realized it or not.
He sighed, attempting to recollect himself. "Very well," he murmured, clearly disgruntled, "I will assist you. But how, prey tell, do you plan on escaping once you've freed us?"

At first, all the voice swirling in her head caused her head to hurt with a pain so great that it seemed someone bashed her skull from the inside, but she was then able to push the voices out of her head and finish what she had started. She undid his right wrist and worked on the left one, the last shackle. She could sense his annoyance of having both a woman rescue him and a fake witch capture him. "Yes, she make potions out of parts and bits of creatures like there are around here to give her the power to wield magic so she could remain in power. How she was able to give birth to a witch daughter, most do not know but the daughter herself." Moriah tried the hide the fact that she was the daughter of the fake witch, that the woman who did such horrible things to people she didn't know blood ran through her veins. She tried to forget herself, seeing she looked more like her father expect for her hair color was a mix of both her parents hair color.
Once she was done she stepped back, in case he acted out rashly like some of the untamed beasts. "We plan to use a teleportation spell, there are two other witches with me. Also, be happy I saved you, your pride isn't that grand if it means having your life taken away." She didn't care much for sexist men, even after they had someone save them. She walked out of the cell and continued to free the others.

Fortunately as she had intended, the idea that Moriah was in fact the false witch's daughter escaped him. Takurasho would rub his wrists, both of which were slightly blue from the binding, stepping out of the box to eye her suspiciously. "'Two other witches'? You mean you're a witch as well?"
He wasn't exactly the grateful sort.
Nonetheless, the austere man would begin assisting her, helping to release the other creatures. "Not that it's any of my concern... I suppose I'm in your dept either way. But what do you have against this impostor witch that would cause you to free me?"

Moriah nodded. "Yes, I am a witch as well." She said as she began to free one of the dragons that were here. The dragon was grateful to her, she really didn't care if they were grateful for what she did, she was proud of what she did.
"We rebel against the Witch Clan because the leader is the fake witch that captured you all and she believes in cruel and unreasonable punishment. She is looking for a new leader, seeing as her daughter refuses to become the new leader has ran off like some other witches have done. Many know of the secret but not enough truly believe is to leave." She explained as the two girls began to move all of the creatures into a circle. "If you want to leave here, I suggest that you get into the circle." She said as the third girl came in.

The man would contemplate her response, nodding thoughtfully after a long silence. "I suppose that's reasonable. But then who are you to launch such attacks...? Clearly you're capable enough to do something as daring as free us-" he'd gesture with one skeletal hand towards the group of beasts, the other towards himself- "from right under her nose. Since you clearly don't desire to take over the coven in the daughter's place, perhaps you could be the one to overthrow her...?"
Takurasho's lips would curl into a sly smile. "I'd be more than willing to assist you. After all... I'm indebted to you, regardless of how impersonal your actions tonight were."
With a few lengthy strides of his long lean legs he'd join the circle obediently. "A conversation for later, then."

Moriah shook her head. "You'd be surprised at who I actually am. I'm sure it will reveal itself in all good time." She said with a grin as the three girls stood in the places they had all planned out where to be. Moriah stood closest to the door, while the other two stood at the bottom, making a triangle. They all three chanted in unison, in a foreign language. As they spoke, a dark purple line began to swirl around all of them, just barely touching them as more gathered until nothing can be seen but the dark purple. All in one instant, the dark purple disappeared, revealing that they were in a forest clearing, far from the castle that was now alerted of what had just happened. All three of the girls fell to the ground, exhausted from what they had just done, it took more energy than they remembered. They were all still conscious, Moriah being the first to sit up. Most of the creatures went off to there own place, where they had been before. "Good work, girls." Moriah said, still panting heavily but still held a smile that seemed to never fade away from her face.
Takurasho would raise a brow at the shady statement, muttering "likewise" under his breathe with an approving grin. He'd follow the teleportation procedure with mild interest. However, he'd inch away from the edge of the circle as the purple light appeared, raising an arm as though to shield his vision from a flash of light. It was safe to suspect he was still somewhat on edge when it came to witch's magic.
The man was relieved to find the spell over as quickly as it had begun, gaze drifting about the forest clearing curiously. The creatures began to clear out, erasing his suspicion that this was all another trick, coming as both a surprise & comfort to him. As soon as he noticed Moriah had fallen he'd move to her side.
Takurasho's expression was relatively stoic as he extended a bony hand, offering to help her to her feet, otherwise blank countenance revealing a glint of amusement in those lifeless eyes. "...thank you, witch," he'd say with great hesitation. "That was rather brave of you. But what is your name? I find myself indebted to someone I've never known before, & I hardly believe you'd like me to continue calling you 'witch'."

Moriah accepted his hand and got to her feet with his help. "Just call me Moriah, no nicknames. I honestly hate nicknames. I rather not be called witch because, even if I am one, it makes me sounds worse than I am." She brushed off the dirt from her black jeans and helped her friends to their feet. "Are you going to go back to wherever you were before or stay around me until you feel that you are no longer indebted to me?" She asked calmly as she pulled on of the girls to her feet. The two girls both were dressed in full black like Moriah was, but her hair color stood out more than their simple brown and common dirty blonde hair did.
"Very well then, Moriah," he'd say as he pulled her to her feet, repeating the name as if to familiarize himself with it. "My name is Takurasho." The austere character would perform a small bow. The other two witches were offered curt nods, & as he examined them, he couldn't help but feel there was something that made Moriah stand out other than just her hair color. There was definitely more to this girl.
The question caused him to cringe. There was hardly any delicate way to express his situation, but it had to be addressed. "I- ah... you see, I am somewhat... obligated... to remain in your company. I'll be around until the debt is repaid, whether you release me or not." He'd frown awkwardly.

Moriah nodded at what he said. "I see." She wasn't the person who really cared much about having someone indebted to her, it always felt weird and different to her. There really isn't much she could say about it at this point, what was done was done. "Well, for now, I have to head back to my apartment, you should probably just go back to where you were before, I am sure we will meet again some day." She didn't know if he would suggest for him to stay with her, mainly because her apartment was kind of small and with only one bedroom, he would probably have to sleep on her couch.
Takurasho would shift uncomfortably. This wasn't something he necessarily wanted to do, & there was no way of explaining it in a fashion that wouldn't be considered strange. This being the case, he decided to resort to a less blatantly honest method, saying suddenly "I don't have anywhere to return to... you see, the witches that captured me destroyed my home. I was new to the area, anyhow, & don't have anyone on which to rely there. To top it off, I'm not all too certain how to get back from here. Perhaps I could stay with you for the night & collect my bearings in the morning?"
Ugh. It had sounded better when he thought about it, but as he spoke he realized the excuse seemed unpleasantly needy {at least to him}, & he tightened his jaw after delivering his lines. Takurasho wasn't one for revenge, but a hateful spite within him burned towards the false witch that had captured him. The whole situation was a terrible mess. He'd managed to avoid such indebted bonds for a long time save one other incident. Out of the frying pan, into the fire, it seems he thought gloomily.

Moriah was a little surprised by what he had told her, but she saw it as a valid excuse to stay with her. "That is alright with me, but you will have to sleep on the couch. I have a small apartment and it only has one bedroom. " She said as the other girls bide their friend farewell and went on to their homes.
Moriah blew some of her white streak out of her face and turned back to Tak. "Well, just follow me. My apartment shouldn't be too far, unless you are willing to try another transportation spell." She offered to him, stretching her arms out with her hands folded together.

Takurasho would nod compliantly, grateful for the fact that she hadn't questioned him further. "That's perfectly acceptable. I don't believe much sleep will be necessary, anyhow...." He'd make to follow her, keeping a few paces behind instead of at her side, casting a glance over his shoulder to watch the other two disappear. Once the teleportation spell was offered he'd nod slowly. "If you think you can manage it, then by all means."
(Sorry for not answering soon. A lot of shit is going on but I am okay now. ^^)
Moriah nodded. "That is fine. I only need about five hours of sleep to keep me going through the day." She said as she walked to the breaking of the forest and opening of the city.

(I'm sorry but this is a 1x1 between me and Libertine. We decided it was better for us to keep it that way because my life is becoming dramatic and I might be off/on a lot.)
