The young Anubite sat down under a large palm tree, watching as Ra flew down the horizon, the setting sun. His ears twitched at every sound and he watched the area around him with lessening caution as night approached and he lay back in the warm sand as the stars began to twinkle above him. He started having that same feeling again, the one had most nights. A desire to share this with someone. His brothers were all more interested in sparring though, and the priestesses, the few that there were, kept to themselves.
He sighed as he looked up at the night sky, whispering praises to Nut, the goddess of sky, for creating such a beautiful thing.
Suddenly, in the near distance, something caught his eye. He sat up to get a better look and saw that it was a human figure, slowly walking forwards. From the distance he couldn't tell the gender, but he could tell they needed help. He stood up and grabbed his sickles as well as the camel skin pouch of water he carried with him then started forwards, his tall ears pricked forwards.

The night sky was clear and you could see the bright stars thanks to Nut, The goddess of the sky. There were posters all around the town of a young girl about twenty, all of them had a reward of a million pounds, dead or alive. Men were wandering the streets with rum in there hands and bows, arrows, and the wealthier had guns of sorts. Some were in groups, while others were searching alone. There has been men missing from their homes, and sheep had gone missing in the last month and the villagers had finally taken action to hunt the creature. They had found Lea one day while she was hunting and noticed her speed, agility, and gracefulness. Lea had been hiding for a little more then a week when she decided that she needed to leave to a tribe that she would be appreciated. She had gotten her stuff together and was heading out of town when one farmer caught her in the side with a arrow, wounding her and.slowing her travel. Of course she had manipulated his mind to believing he had been attacked by a wild animal, and continued out of town.
Lea clutched her side as the hot desert sun started to go down, giving way for the cold desert moon. She loved the God Khonsu very much and thanked him for the relief of cool nights instead of unbearable heat at night. She could see the vague shape of a palm tree in the distance and a creature sitting under it. Gathering all her remaining strength, she howled at the glowing moon and collapsed on the sand, covering it too in blood from her reddened tunic. She turned over and smiled at the beautiful moon. hoping if she died, she could join Khonsu in bringing the moon to earth each night. "Please help me Sekhmet." she whispered as she slowly closed her eyes to distant crunching of sand.

"Wrong goddess to pray to if you want saving," Nomti said as he was suddenly next to her and he looked at the arrow, then snapped it off and pulled the rest out the other side. He started to gently pour water into the werewolf's mouth. Nomti temporarily transformed, becoming something much like a werewolf and he carried her back to his palm tree and set her beneath it before turning back into his normal self.
Lea opened her eyes and let the water cascade down her sore throat. "Why not? She is the Warrior Goddess and the Goddess of Healing." Lea said quietly looking up at the stars through the thin palm tree leaves. "Where am I?" she asked looking at her side. "And why isn't it healing faster?" she asked getting frustrated and concerned.
"Hathor is the goddess of healing silly. Sekhemet and Hathor are two sides of the same goddess, but they are not by any means the same person. Sekhemet is the goddess of war, and poison," he corrected. He didn't really like Sekhemit. She made too much work for Anubis and the Anubites.
"And you're in Egypt, though I think you know that. And I don't know. Should it be healing faster?"
"And you're in Egypt, though I think you know that. And I don't know. Should it be healing faster?"
"Yes, I'm a werewolf....." Lea mumbled taking off her cap revealing her dark red ears. "I was born into it." she explained trying to sit up but being unsuccessful and hurting herself more. "I have faster regeneration then mundanes but not as fast as blood suckers." she said using her choice word for vampyres. "I have no clue why it isn't healing faster, unless...." she trailed off into silence, looking up at the stars through the leaves. She gently touched the wound and looked at her fingers, glittering slightly in the blood was a very tiny amount of silver dust. "Quick, wash the wound out now!" she said panicked, getting her own canteen out.
"Ok ok," he rolled his eyes and quickly began washing the wound out with his water pouch.
"I like your ears. They're cute," he smiled warmly as he finished cleaning the wound.

Lea smiled and washed the wound out with him. "Much better, I couldn't heal 'cause there was silver powder In the cut. After all, some of the fairy tale nonsense is true." She said with a wink as she sat up, feeling the wound as it began healing. "Thanks, I'm Lea." Lea said holding her non-bloody hand out to the man that just saved her life.
The young Anubite looked at her hand curiously. Shaking hands wasn't something that anyone in Egypt ever did, but he quickly inferred what was implied and gripped her hand in a firm shake, "I'm Nomti, Strength."
Lea smiled and let her hand drop. "Where exactly are we?" She asked curiously, watching the wound on her side close into a smaller cut in a couple seconds. The desert night had gotten a little chillier and Lea shivered a little in the cool desert night. The stars peaked out from behind the veil of blackness, illuminating the sky slightly.
"Near the pyramids," he pointed behind them, and in the distance, several triangles of darkness blocked out the stars. His fur rippled slightly in the wind and he sat down cross legged, absently poking the bottoms of his paw pads on his Digitigrade feet, "What exactly are you doing here in this great land of deserts and heat?" he asked curiously.
((Sorry, I've been lazy))
Lea looked towards the pyramids and sighed. "I have become an outcast to my own people once again for another's actions." Lea explained vaguely, watching her wound completely close leaving only a light pink
scar where it once was.

He looked up at her, "That's a pity. It's no fun to be outcast, I would know. Granted, I haven't exactly been exiled, but I've been more or less disowned by my brothers," he shrugged. It seemed as though that didn't really bother him.
(Ish okay I'm lazy too)

"Least you had a family." Lea mumbled pulling her knees up to her chest. Her mom had died giving birth to her and her father was killed a couple nights later by hunters. They hadn't bothered Lea because they thought her parents kidnapped her because they couldn't reproduce. "I've had a hard childhood. Bouncing from parents to parents, each thinking I'm a monster and forcing me to leave again, and again. I learned at age six what the real world was like and what to expect from everybody." Lea finished looking up at the stars.
He whimpered a bit and sat next to her, "Well... You don't have to expect that from me..." he said softly and put a tentative arm over her shoulder. He certainly was no councilor, but he could try to comfort her.
Lea cautiously leaned into him and put her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes and sighing in relief. "Glad someone is nice in this cruel world." she said yawning and crossing her legs under her. "So I told you why I was out here...." she started looking into his eyes, "So why are you out here?"
He blushed beneath his fur when she leaned on him and he smiled, "I have the evening to myself when I'm guarding the barrier."
"What barrier?" Lea said looking around, seeing a slight shimmering from a couple yards away. "Is this like a giant bubble?" she asked giggling a little at the ridiculous thought.
"Well, yeah. It prevent the more malicious creatures from entering, like unbound skorpion men, giant scarabs and the such."
"So the less malicious creatures are let in?" She asked intrigued. "Would the barrier let through a wounded creature? If they're weak enough and the barrier thought they were a lesser creature, would the barrier let them through?" Lea finished watching the slightly shimmering barrier.
