The red queen's army was some hours away. They'd probably be arriving soon after dawn made its appearance.

Ryoran had just fallen asleep, not snoring this time because of his nightmares.

Vinrainla looked at him for a moment before laying down next to him. She couldn't really fall asleep at all, as she didn't want to miss one of her ravens warnings and that she kept on thinking about the battle that was soon to be taken place.

Ryoran rolled over and slid an arm over her stomach frowning, as if he wanted to protect her for something.

Vinrainla leaned her head lightly against his, taking a deep breath as she watched him. She frowned slightly, wondering if she should wake him up or not.

He held her close to him, slipping into a more peaceful sleep where his frown slowly gave room to a smile.

Vinrainla eventually closed her eyes, though didn't really fall into deep sleep.

"Aren't you tired?" He asked her softly after having woken up minutes later. It'd be a long wait until dawn came.

Vinrainla shook her head slowly and opened her eyes, "Not really."

One of her ravens spotted the army, and studied them for a couple minutes.

"I see." He snuggled her closer and let out a laugh. "I think I will stay awake with you." He said and started humming. Outside, the sound of men singing could be heard. They were dancing happily in case it was their last chance to enjoy their life.

The army, meanwhile, moved slowly but with determination.

Vinrainla smiled as she listened to him, though quickly dropped it when she heard her raven's voice ring inside her head. There is an army approaching, they'll be here in about an hour.

"Hey Ry? I think we should start getting ready now." Vinrainla said, now sitting up.

He lifted his head, peering at her in the dim tent. "What? Why? Oh..." He said as he understood. "Ravens?"

Vinrainla nodded slowly, "One of them spotted the army and said that they will be here in an hour."

Ryoran cursed under his breath and crawled out of the tent rubbing his forehead.

Vinrainla followed him out and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Dont get too stressed or worried now. That's not really a good thin to have while fighting."

Ryoran sighed heavily and nodded once. "You're right. I need to get it together." He smiled at her and kissed her smiling, talk about mood swings. "Thanks, I'll see you in a few love." He walked away to get his armor and a good sword, feeling like his usual self again.

Vinrainla grinned and went to where all the archers were.

Blaze was near and when she saw Vin, she waved at her. "Hey! Guess what? I've gotten better with this thing!" She said raising the bow she had in her hand.

Vinrainla grinned and walked closer toward her, "Well that's certainly a good thing. What's the farthest your able to shoot and still hit the target?"

"Like... this far" She said standing on a spot reasonably far from a wall. "I'm so happy. I've been practicing and some guys helped me so I think everything's alright." Around, people seemed to be coming an going every second since their spies had spotted the enemy a few mintes after Vin's ravens had.

Vinrainla nodded her head, smiling, "Hey, that's still good for somebody that doesn't regularly pick up a bow."
