Blaze patted her shoulder as a soldier yelled, calling for all the archers to get to the top of the mountain.
Vinrainla smiled softly at her after hearing the soilder, "Guess it's time."
Blaze looked down at her feet. "Yeah... It feels like the old times." The place seemed less crowded now. Children had gone to the underground rooms, accompanied by their mothers; swordmen outside, and finally, the archers, which were now on their way. She started walking.
Vinrainla frowned at her, "I've actually never been in a battle like this before." She said softly as she walked beside her.
"Me just once, but we were attacking instead of defending." Blaze, besides the bow and arrows, carried her two usual daggers as well. They gave her that sense of safety she so much needed.
"For time for everything then." Vinrainla said with a soft chuckle.
"Yup." The cold air of the late night, or early morning, hit their skin when they reached the top. "Where are the ravens?"
"The four that I sent out are back in the dimension, and the other one is hiding somewhere." Vinraina told her.
"I was worried their archers would tell something was wrong I guess your ravens were spies." Other archers were there already, some were just teenagers like her. "Ryoran likes to gloat about his pretty wife and magic ravens so some around already know about you sending them. Crazy guy."
Vinrainla chuckled, finding what she said a little amusing. "Well it is sort of hard to keep my magic a secret, especially since our little bird friend won't stop talking to random strangers, and the fact that nobody has probably seen anything like it before."
Blaze could see nothing ahead but the line of trees where the forest began. She was getting worried. "I bet. I've never had any pets but I know that when everything is okay, I'll get a monkey."
Vinrainla chuckled softly and looked at her with a grin, "A monkey?"
"Yeah, always wanted one of those." She drew her bow and had an arrow ready for when the moment came. "And a llama too."
"Keep that up and you'll be able to open a petting zoo." Vinrainla said and then notched an arrow onto her bow string.
"That's not a bad idea." She joked and then laughed. It felt good, being with a friend while they faced an enemy. "Archers ready!" The guy in charge called and she tensed a bit. At first, she still saw nothing, but then, she did. They were not a few.
Vinrainla Immediatly stood still and pulled back her bow string. She could see the people out in the forest, and waited for the command to shoot.
"Geez, why do the bad guys always have it better?" Blaze whispered aiming at the soldiers emerging from the forest, heavily armed.
(Do you mind if the guys are immortal, just for now? If you've seen Merlin, you'll know what I mean, but if not, then just wait )

(I've actually never seen Merlin o: But yeah they can c:)
"Probably because they planned for this to happened and has had more time to be prepared." Vinrainla answered her, keeping an steady aim on her target.

(Kk!)
"Shoot now!" The same man yelled when the troops were in shooting range. Blaze let all of her worries vanish when she released the arrow and inmediately proceeded to shoot another one, and another one.

Vinrainla began shooting arrow after arrow with precise accuracy, though she started to slow down after when she noticed something was just a little off.
