Leith glanced at the man besides him and back at her,"Artist? What do you mean."he sat in front of her.

Kiran had no idea of what she was talking about, "what do you mean 'artist'?

She sighed, "I just need to find him." Just then the black solvent she was made up of slid down from the corner of her eye.

He shrugged,"Well if you really need to then i'll help."he grinned and held out his hand,"I'm Leith."

Kiran heard the mercenaries coming back. He turned to face the direction they were coming from and drew his sword.

Trying to avoid bringing any pain to her ankle, she grasped Leith's hand quickly.

"Hey!" One of the mercenaries shouted when he saw a standing figure, "You shouldn't be out here!;

"Hold em off bird boy."he slipped an arm underneath her legs and stood, running in the opposite direction, carrying her.

"Neither should you," He growled in a voice sounding exactly like that of a dragons.

She clung to him while looking back at Kiran and flinched at his voice.

The party cringed a bit and draw out the swords to the newfound threat.

He rolled his eyes and darted off to the side, gaining enough momentum to launch them into a tree. He glanced around them began to jump from branch to branch.

Kiran held his sword in front of him and waited for the mercenaries to take action first. He muttered some thing and a moment later the two of them heard a whisper saying "go I can find you easily enough now, I have your scent."

Ink heard a voice and glanced up at Leith, "What..?"

One of the mercenaries withdrew his bow and shot at the creature while the others charged at him.

He shook his head slightly as he heard his voice and sighed,"It's just the guy from earlier."he paused, and looked at her with a smile,"May I ask your name?"

Kiran easily dodged the arrow, he would play defensive until one of them managed to actually hurt him.

She pushed her flying hair from face, and quietly spoke, "Ink.. My name's Ink."

One mercenary struck his wing while another at his chest. The archer grabbed another bow, placing in gently on the bow then aimed it to Kiran's head.

"Suits you well."he jumped down onto the ground once they were far enough,"Now..where can we find this 'artist' of yours?"

The strike at his wing bounced off a scale while the one to his chest cut through his chain shirt, but not deep enough it was life threatening. Kiran got out of the group of people and threw his sword at the archer. Turning back to the group his hands turned into scaled claws and his jaw slightly elongated and grew scales. Baring his teeth, they had followed suit and had elongated and sharpened.

She gave him a brief grin before it disappeared again, "I don't know.. He wasn't there when I... Left."

The archer collapsed, a red stain growing around the impale of the blade. There were clangs as all the mercenaries dropped their weapons and turned to run.

"Well maybe he just stepped out."he thought for a moment, looking up at the sky as he walked,"Where does he live? Starting from the beginning would be best."he looked at her.

Kiran allowed them to run, he walked over to he archer before he died. Revernting to his natural form he would gently pull the sword from his stomach, then pull out a potion and force him to drink it. After drinking it the wound would start to close up and he would knock out the mercenary. Once Kiran was sure there was no one to follow him he would spread his wings and take off, flying just above the trees he would follow their scent and land behind them.
