“Sorry, it’s a habit, rolling my eyes,” He signed back, nodding as he turned his attention to Tyra,

Tyra “ I’m fine Brady.how was the foods? Was it ok?”

“It was great, thanks for asking. How was your pudding?”

“I loved it one of my favorite things. Thanks for asking. You ok?”

“I’m doing just great, it’s a relief to know I’m not at risk of getting whacked in the head with a gun at any moment of the day. How’re you settlin’ in?”

“ same. I enjoy being here and not at that camp.”

“I wonder if they have a library here...” He thought aloud.

“ not here but at there main base they do.”

“That sucks. Maybe I can try and find a book or two somewhere around here. It’ll be interesting to see if I remember how to read, even,” He laughed.

Tyra rolls her eyes. “ I’m sure the staff kids would be able to teach ya.” She giggles. Pan “ that b3 pretty sad.”

“I mean, last time I read a book was... 2 years ago?”

She giggles. “ I snuck a few books in so I read before bed. “

“Where’d you get the books from?” He raised his eyebrows.

“ my sister abilities to alter minds.”

“But still, I haven’t read a book for that long because I haven’t seen one in for that long.”

Pan gives Brady a book. Tyra was in pain. Pan “ I hate to do this.” He gives Tyra medicine that makes her fall asleep.

“Thanks...” He took the book gently, looking it over. The title ready The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. “Hm. Guess I do know how to read still.” He frowned as he slowly watched Tyra doze off. “I can’t imagine that, having to put your sister to sleep because she’s in pain... I hope she gets better real soon.”

“ we should be able to fix it. Just takes time.” He sat in a chair and waited. “ i just hope it does not make her other wounds worse.”

“Yeah, it does...” He sighed, absentmindedly tapping his finger and raising a fork steadily with each tap, down and back up again.
