First and foremost---I'm going to be an uncle!! As soon as I found out back in May, I immediately thought, "I need to write my future niece or nephew a horror story!" Because, well, I moonlight as a horror fiction author, and this was kind of my way of showing my sister I care.

Cut to months of working on this in secret (it was a surprise for my pregnant sis, after all!) and it turning into a fully illustrated picture book...all the while not being able to show it to anyone outside of a close circle of friends...and it's finally done, and it's finally up on Amazon!

If you or someone you know has any interest in a (lightly spooky) picture book, please consider getting one, but no pressure, of course!

BTW my sister loved it. Almost cried on the Skype call when she opened the package. It's dedicated to her bun in the oven.

I'd say based on my research on word count, it'd be good for maybe around 5 years old and up? There's nothing inappropriate for younger kiddos (it's full of simple words and sentences and bright illustrations), but the younger ones might fall asleep in the middle of it. It can be read in about 10 minutes.

This is so freaking awesome and adorable looking. Personally, even at almost 32 years old, I love children's books.

There are 47 pages, which form 22 spreads of story. Every spread has a full-sized image on one side and the text on the other side.
