She blinks and snickers for a moment, "What're you lookin' around for, all you're gonna run over is deaders." She pokes at his arm playfully.
"Old habits die hard," he explained with a slight grin, driving off down the road again. "So you saw what I was talking about, then? The decapitated deaders?"
She pauses before nodding, "Clean cuts... Least they looked it to me..." She shrugs, "But they still had some stuff on 'em!" She gets a bit smile as she takes some jewelry from her bag pocket, looking them over.
"Like an axe or a sword or somethin'... You take jewelry from zombies? That's a new one," he commented, glancing over at the things she had gotten. "But I guess they don't need them anymore, right?"
She blinks for a moment before nodding slightly, "My brother used to say I was weird for it... he always used to throw it away because it took up too much room in my bag, but since we seperated... well, now I have more time to pick them up." She smiles over at Anthony, "He says I'm like a post-apocalyptic hoarder." She shrugs, "Whatever that is."
He nodded slightly, slowing the Humvee down when they were roughly ten or twenty miles away from the gas station.
"I see a clump of zombies up ahead there in the road... We might have to try to go around..." He frowned slightly when one of the zombies fell backwards away from the group like it had just gotten killed, although there was no sound like a gunshot. "What..."

Cora instantly sat up in her seat, going to smush her face up against the dash, "WHAT WAS ZAT?!" She says with an all too excited smile, squinting her eyes and trying to look farther, "You saw that too right?!"
"Yeah, I saw that. I'm gonna check it out," he replied, parking the Humvee and getting out. "You can come if you want-" he stopped when another couple of zombies toppled- "but stay close."
She widens her smile and goes to chase after him, doing as told, staying right behind him, but fidgiting like she wants to run forward and help whatever's killing those deaders. "So exciting!"
Anthony made sure his rifle was locked and loaded, then started popping zombies. "If you're gonna shoot do so carefully. We don't wanna kill whoever's killing those things."
Nick hadn't been doing so well until they had arrived. He was exhausted, starving, and had a feeling he was dehydrated. He was whacking as many zombies with his katana as he could, but there were so many-
He yelped in surprise when they started dropping of their own accord, gunshots peppering the air. He bolted for the safety of the trees to get away from any stray shots, not sure what to make of this.

Cora blinked and her gaze followed him, then she went to wave at his direction, then pulled out her own Katana and went to skip forward until she got to a point when the zombies began coming for her. At this point she began slicing as fast as she could, though at a few points having to back up and give herself some space from the deaders.
"You have a sword? Why didn't you tell me this, that's awesome!" Anthony called to her over his gunshots, finally stopping when there were only a few left. He was about to start knifing them when Nick entered the fray again, finally coming to grips with this strange turn of events. One clean slice and the heads of three or four zombies were rolling, still snapping stupidly.
He shifted into a defensive position, his dark green gaze flicking between Cora and Anthony warily.

Cora snickered and stood still, sword still out once the new being showed. She twirled it back into the sheath on her back, looking to Anthony from over her shoulder, "It's never been hidden silly." She snickers and looks back at Nick, looking him over curiously, then waving at him, "Hi!"
"Oh." Apparently he hadn't noticed it before. ( fail)
Nick just watched them cautiously, mostly focusing on Anthony's gun. He flicked his sword slightly to get the zombie blood off, shifting his weight ever so carefully as he sized them up.

Cora blinks at the man, "Uh... alright, you got a name Swordy?" She gets a mischievous and curious face.
"Nicky," he finally said after some thought, taking a small step back. He didn't exactly trust these two; not yet.
The girl nods, "My names Coraline, and that's Anthony... watcha doin' comin' this way?"
"Absolutely nothing," he replied, taking another step back. "Just trying to get by, that's all."
Nick heard the zombie before he saw it; without even looking he thrust his katana behind him, impaling it in the midsection. One quick swing and it was quickly decapitated.
"That's better."
Something clicked in Anthony's head- this must've been the guy who was at the gas station. His sword would explain the severed heads... Fascinating.

Cora blinks at the man and gets an excited expression, then goes to reach for her bag, "You uh, you need any water or anything?" She asks as she unzips her bag and reaches to pull out a bottle of water. Not necessarily clean, but it's not disgusting either.
He tensed slightly, his sword tip flicking up when she went for her bag. He relaxed again, if just a little bit, when she pulled out the water.
"You got supplies?" Nick asked slowly, looking between her and the water. The gas station hadn't exactly been profitable.
"Yeah," Anthony said, although he was slightly wary now as well. Now this dude knew about the supplies, and he didn't exactly trust people around his supplies. We all saw how well that turned out last time.
