Cora blinks at the man and goes for her bag again, then zips it up and tosses the bottle over first, then a protein bar, "Not much, but it's what I got." She smiles at him.

"Thanks." He popped the water open after sheathing his singing katana, gulping it down quickly. It felt good to finally drink something, being on the edge of dehydration. Nick took a deep breath, his shoulder turned slightly in a defensive position as Anthony shifted the rifle back on his shoulders, watching him with a curious blue gaze.

Cora gave a curious gaze to the new male before smiling again, "I don't think we're gonna try anything Guy, you're fine... should be at least..." She nods, "Name?"

"What-" Nick began, although he cut himself off as he listened to his surroundings. "Sounds like there's more comin'. I suggest you guys leave. That's what I'm doin'." He backed off again, listening some more.
"Umm... You wanna come with us?" Anthony asked, reluctant to leave him behind.
"I'm a loner, man. I don't do well with other people."
"It doesn't seem like you do well with deadheads either. You'd be safer if you'd come with us," he pointed out, watching Nick.
The guy sighed, giving them a rueful glare as he thought.

Cora shrugs, then pumps up her fist, "I get backseat!" She goes to trot for the humvee, then looks back at Nick before getting in, "Come on, not even like it'll be that long." She smiles.

"I'm gonna regret this," he finally sighed, absentmindedly unsheathing his katana and twirling it in his hand as he followed Cora cautiously to the Humvee.
"You're from Brooklyn, aren't you?" Anthony finally asked out of the blue, noting the light accent in Nick's voice.
"Yeah. Manhatten, correct?"
"Yeah... Always nice to meet a fellow New Yorker."
"I guess."

Coraline looked over her shoulder slightly towards the two as she went to crawl into the backseat and lay in it, hugging once she did, slumping into a relaxed state, "Yeah... awesome..." she mumbled to herself.

Nick sheathed his sword and got in the passenger side, Anthony getting in the driver's seat. He took off again once he did a head count to make sure they were all there (silly little Anthony) and ran over one of the decapitated zombie heads as he did so.
"Oops..."

Cora snickered a bit in the back seat as he did, then went to scramble up to lay her head on the shoulder of Nick's seat, "So where'd you get that katana, hmhmhm? Hmmmmmmm?" She gets an annoyingly curious face.

Nick moved slightly so his shoulder wasn't so close to Coraline's face. "It's been in my family for a long time now. Pulled it off the mantel when all this started goin' down... Shame to keep such a fine weapon on the wall."

She blinks and tilts her head a bit, nodding rapidly before asking, "Why'd they even have it if they weren't gonna use it?"

"It was used a long time ago. It's a Hattori Hanzo sword, too- you don't just pawn a Hattori Hanzo sword." He smirked at the idea. "You don't exactly use these a whole lot either, so up on the wall it went."

She blinks, "Well if it's a weapon why wouldn't you use it?" She tilts her head as she asks this, not understanding the idea of not using something to your advantage in the least bit.

"There was a time before all this when we didn't use weapons, before these assholes came back to life and tried to kill us," he growled. "When everything was normal. There was no need to use it then- there is now, and that's why I took it. Gotten pretty good with it, if I do say so myself."

She blinks and makes a 'hm' noise, "Never knew that..." She slumps a bit, "That's an odd thought..." she mumbles to herself.

"Strange, right?" He sighed, leaning back against the seat.
"So you remember it too?" Anthony asked, looking over at the new man.
"Yeah, I remember it. How could I not?" Nick replied, glancing over at Anthony. "What were you?"
"A private in the National Guard. You?"
"Emergency Medical Technician. Kinda funny considering how much stuff I've killed and seen killed, you know?"
"Yeah... But an EMT? You were right there when most of it went down, then?"
"Right there, yeah. I'd assume the same for you?"
"Yeah."
Well, looked like Anthony and Nick had something in common already.

Coraline had come up out of her thoughts mid conversation, blinkg up at the two and thinking for a few moments before she went to get in the seat behind Anthony and lean forward and move her chin to sit on the shoulder of his seat as they talked, staying silently before asking, "Hey Anthony, when do you think we'll stop next?"

"I dunno. I don't really have this planned out; why?" Anthony replied, looking back at her.

She shook her head, "Just curious... no reason..." She paused for a moment before relaxing and slumping back into her seat, going to take her bag from her back and begin looking through her items.

"I was thinking about stopping tonight so we can look through our supplies and see what we need more of- I know we're still running low on ammo."
