Cora huffed, "Stubborn... is a more accurate term..." She shakes her head, "And I'll lose you at some point..."
"I'll find you again. I'm a soldier- once I get my assignment in my head I'll follow it through to the end, Cora."
She huffs, "And I'm a stubborn teenager who will do whatever she has to to get what she wants... trust me, you don't... you don't wanna follow me, but I promise I'll come back and find you! A-and... I always keep my promises Ant..."
Anthony sighed, dropping his gaze. "Yeah, you do, don't you... Here."
He tossed her a pack of ammunition in resignment. "Dammit, Cora, you've got me. Just don't die, okay? I'm gonna kill you if you do."
He tossed her a pack of ammunition in resignment. "Dammit, Cora, you've got me. Just don't die, okay? I'm gonna kill you if you do."
She caught the pack and blinked at it with wide eyes, shaking her head rapidly, "Ant, you're already running low on ammo, I'm not gonna take this... And... And it's almost night, so I'm not gonna leave right now... I'll leave in the morning, how about that?" She gives him a sad smile.
"Take it, Cora," he snapped. "I'm not gonna argue with you about that."
He sighed, leaning against the Humvee. "I'm sorry. I'm being selfish... Just gimme a hug, will ya?"
He sighed, leaning against the Humvee. "I'm sorry. I'm being selfish... Just gimme a hug, will ya?"
She huffs and thinks for a moment, "I'll snuggle with you all night if you take the ammo back..." She nods.
"GAR!" Anthony snarled, flailing his fists at the sky. "You drive a hard bargain, Cora."
She flinched a bit, snickering a bit though it's faked as she doesn't know whether to actually laugh or not at it, not getting if he was joking or not.
Still grumbling at how stubborn she was, he tossed the ammo back in the trunk, glancing at Cora.
"You're funny," he finally stated, giving her a small smirk.
"You're funny," he finally stated, giving her a small smirk.
Cora waited for a few moments to see if his expression changed, then smiled herself, nodding a bit, "Wanna watch the sunset from the roof?" She motions her head for the humvee.
"What else is there to do nowadays?" He climbed up onto the roof, glancing through a window at Nick. "Gad, he's still out- he musta been exhausted when we found him."
Cora smiled a bit more and went to climb up and sit next to him, going to hold his arm tight and nuzzle into his shoulder a bit. "Just means he's appreciating the rest more."
"Taking advantage of the opportunity to catch up on his sleep." He sighed, resting an arm on Coraline's shoulders. "Smart guy."
She shrugged a bit, "We could if you want, I just... kinda thought you'd like you sit up here just the two of us..." She shrugs, "I unno..."
"I'm fine sitting up here. I'll sit up here forever if it'd keep you from leaving. I'm just saying that a tired guy like him is smart in catching up on his rest while he can."
Cora frowns and huffs, ignoring the first part of his comment, not replying to his second because she really doesn't know a way to reply to it, going to nuzzle into his shoulder again, then moves under his arm to hold around his upper torso.
He rested his head on hers, breathing deeply and watching the sun set on the horizon.
After a while Cora slumped into him, but shot back up, rubbing at her eyes, "S-Sorry..." She snickers, "G-Guess I'm not cut out for watchin' stuff for too long..." She rubbed up and down on her face with flat hands until she shook her head rapidly to wake herself back up.
He grinned down at her antics, rubbing her shoulders with a large hand. "You can go to sleep if you want. I don't think I'll get a wink in tonight anyways."
