Cor pauses and goes to hold him tighter and nuzzle into him, "Just... something bad, okay..."
"Cora, if I'm going to be a target, I wanna know what exactly is targeting me," Anthony persisted gently, seeing this as a logical argument.
She huffs, "You won't be targeted because you won't be near us unless I come and find you..."
"And you already promised that you would come and find me, so that automatically makes me a target. Just tell me, Cora."
She shakes her head, "I, specifically, am not a target... It's Pet and Rem, and since I'm away from them I'm not one as of currently... it'll be fine, promise."
"But when you bring Petunia back and come find me, as you already promised to do, you'll be bringing a target along, therefore making you a target and me a target. The only way to avoid this whole mess is to not come find me, and you promised, remember? You've specifically told me that you never break your promises. Just tell me, Coraline. It'll make it easier to not be as much of a target, or something like that."
Cora opens and closes her mouth a few times before sitting up, pulling her knees to her chest, "I never saw it before I made it to Rem's place, but he said it's a brood mother, and it's... it's a moving mound of flesh determined to eat all life on earth or something, zombie or not... which... honestly I think is an overstatement on Remy's part, but ah... we've seen her-" She pauses and shakes her head, "It a few times now... not up close really, but it's... definately after us." She huffs and looks back at him, "I'm not... I won't make you a target Ant, I'll do whatever it takes to not have that happen."
Anthony frowned deeply. "Well that certainly doesn't sound good. Is there any way to kill it? I've never heard of something like that before, that's odd..."
He wasn't sure whether to be terrified that something like that existed in the world or curious as to what the thing was exactly and what it looked like, so he decided to leave the idea alone for a bit and come back to it later.

She shrugs, "Rem says there isn't... well one way, but that way's gone since we helped fix said way..." She huffs and looks over at him, "Honestly I just... I just wanna get up north as far away from the thing as possible..." She shrugs and looks forward, "I hear if you get a boat once you get to Alaska you can go over the water to an entire new place." She smiles, "That sounds like it'd be fun."
"So you can't just blow it up or something?" he asked, thinking about where he would find said explosives- for some reason he didn't quite think his two grenades would do the trick. "And go to Russia, yeah... I wonder how they're doing over there..."
She blinks, "That's what it's called over there?" She gets an excited smile and turns to face him completely, "Do you know how big it is over there? I've been over to D.C and then over to here! Is it that big?!"
"Russa is huge- it's the largest country in the world, I think, it spans across the majority of the European land mass. So explosives are out of the question? What about a minigun or something?"
She widens her eyes, but after a moment shakes her head, "Um... R-Remy said he saw a mercenary army go at it once, but it just... just ate them up..." She shakes her head, "What do you mean European?" She gets her smile back... she's obviously never heard of any of this.
"So explosives wouldn't do much and apparently a minigun wouldn't either... I wonder if its possible to find a nuke or a chemical bomb hidden somewhere? It's a long shot, though, and we'd need a plane for that stuff. Here." He reached over and pulled a map out of the trunk, spreading it out and showing it to her. "This is Russia. Big honkin' country, ain't it?"
She widens her eyes, then points at Africa as a whole, "What's that?" She keeps looking over the map curiously, "A-And that mass under us, that's big too!"
"Africa, and Mexico and South America. The world's a pretty big place. I dunno where we're gonna get a plane like that though, unless we go raid a military base... Actually, that might not be a bad idea, thinking about it now. Actually getting a bomb is the hard part and I don't even know if the thing will die if we nuke it or napalm it or something."
Cora keeps looking over the map before looking up at him, "But... if it didn't die that'd make whoever hit it a target..." She frowns at him and shakes her head, "Just... better to leave it alone Ant..."
"Or would it drown if we led it to the sea or something?" he mused to himself, scratching his chin. "Or maybe it's allergic to something, like a slug if you pour salt on it?"
She blinks and shrugs, "I wonder what it's like out there..." She shakes her head as she mumbles, "Never been to a beach before..." She lays back and raises the map over herself to look it over still.
Anthony let her take the map, still thinking to himself on possible and mostly violent ways to kill such a thing. He was pretty clueless as to how to best combat the whatever it was, but it was interesting to think about.
